  1. hi pilya! I am so happy to read that once your petition is approved, you will just need to wait for a year? When did u file your I130 and how many years when it was approved? I need to know, mine was filed June 2007 and was approved July 2009. Does it mean that i only have to wait for a year? Im so excited! Thanks! Ilang taon ang lahat ang hinintay nyo bago kau mainterview? Congrats to u and your family! im so happy for u!

hi! yup, you only have to wait for a year..just to share, below is the message/notice when my petition was approved. This is from the USCIS website using/entering my receipt no.

"Application Type: I130, IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN

    Current Status: Approval notice sent.

On October 14, 2008, we mailed you a notice that we have approved this I130 IMMIGRANT PETITION FOR RELATIVE, FIANCE(E), OR ORPHAN. Please follow any instructions on the notice. If you move before you receive the notice, call customer service"

from that date onwards, I have received case number, Choice of Agent, fees to be paid etc etc..my husband, who is my petitioner also received these notices..all of the notices were received online and by email..

my petition was filed by my husband back in March2004, you see, it took about almost 5years of waiting..so if you have received the same message ive posted above, then you are on your way to process everything needed for the petition..lucky you, you only waited for about 3yrs...good luck...

  2. i know that... but at least theres that hope and light that your file is not being forgotten after waiting for forever...

...wont you be happy though that a petition was being worked on.... done with step1... at least...

i am just being happy that my patience is paying off a little bit so i would still jump for joy when mine will be approved.

you are right mitch..and im positive that your petition will be approved soon...but uscis is still processing 2006 filers, why is that? I always visit that website before when ours is still not approved, and that website always become my basis.

    it is always updated before..

anyway, Good luck to all of you who's waiting for the approval. Once your petition is approved, you will just wait for a year...just like what happened to us..no worries...all the waiting will be paid off soon...just have to be patient....

As for me, me and my son already completed our medical interview in St.Lukes, thank GOd, no problem at all..we are just waiting for Sept11 to come for our interview..

  3. hi! i am so new to this and i need help. I am a wife of a LPR, i was filed June 2007 and got the approval last July 2009. My husby filed the petition when i was still pregnant, i gave birth July of 2007 and my baby was not included in my i130. Now this what's bothering me. Can i bring my baby with me or we have to file a separate petition for her? Does f2a category have derivative beneficiary? I dont want to leave her if ever. I need your help... thanks!

yep, F2A has derivative...tell your husband to submit your baby's birth certificate and mail it to NVC..dont worry, your baby will be included in the petition..you dont have to file a separate petition for the baby..just mail the birth certificate and add a letter of request stating that he wishes to include your baby under your petition..include the case no..and petitioners name etc.. (like the usual heading when your making inquiry to NVC)

you can check out other topics here concerning petitions of Permanent residents, that thread could help you..you can move this topic to that thread..

yes! my whole family is here in the US na. i came here in the US when i was 19, and my sisters basically grew up here.

everyone is already here except my hubby... so im not all alone here... i have my families and friends but you know!!! its totally different!

dito ako sa Lomalinda university medical center as diagnosis specialist.

just to let you know im so happy for you talaga.... your lil angel got to celebrate that bigday with daddy now... we really should meet up.... just tell me... im always on the site everyday...

im still on my 2nd year of the visa process so maybe ill start receiving all those next year.... with God's grace!

dont forget to keep in touch and update us... ill praying for your Embassy appointments!

Do you have a baby na? How long have you been married? and would you mind me asking about your age now? If you have been in the US for quite some time now, why haven't you applied for naturalization yet..that way, it could be much quicker..

dont worry, one of these days, we will meet..my hubby works in Hydranautics..he's a Civil ENgr here but when he went to US, his work is not inline with his studies..I suppose that would happen to me as well, lol! Well, i really dont care as long as we're together..

Anyway, ill keep you posted...thanks for the prayers

  6. sis pilya

hi... if youll be in oceanside then we can really meet up and have lunch! im like an hour away from there.... i live here in the county of san bernardino. so im thinking youll be here in the US end of september huh? oooo my... youll be spending thanksgiving and christmas holidays with your hubby now..... im sooo happy for you... i cant relate how it is to be away from your bestfriend and love of your life.

about being notified... i dont have that yet... i think youll start receiving stuff on the 3rd year... mine is just 2 yrs old... i still have 2 or more years till our papers will be currect... all i have in my hand is the receipt! and that s all...

we were originally from kidapawan, cotabato but when i go home and visit my love, we usually stay in davao..... and you???

well, im soooo happy and praying everything will be perfectly process and you can have your family as a whole in time!

oh!!!! forgive me forgive me, all the while I thought you are the one here in the PI and your hubby is in the US...

Anyway, do u have someone living with you at the moment? my hubby's family is all in the US, so somehow, his boredom of waiting is lessen...if the visa would be released early for like 3days, we plan to leave last week of Sept. or 1st week of Oct..my hubby would like us to celebrate my sons bday in the US on Oct12..maybe then we could meet up...

by the way, what do you do, i mean, what is your work?

I guess you'll be receing stuffs on your 3 or 4th yr..once you have the case number, all the stuff would be coming to you na...dire-drecho na yan..

im residing in Batangas...you're from Mindanao pala..ive been to Davao, ive attended a cousins wedding..

  7. wwwwhhhhhaaatttt?????is it true???you really have to wait that long???i think i'll gonna cry......my husband has just filed our I130 last 2008, meaning for me it would be like 2012???huhuhuhuhuhuh!!!!

well it depends...is your husband a citizen or a green card holder? if he is a citizen, it would just take you around 1year of wating, but if he is an LPR or green card holder, then waiting time is 4-5years..well he could apply for citizenship if he's already 5years living in the USA..and upgrade the petition..

  8. my dear sis PILYA! i almost cried reading that you already have your schedule!!!! im sooooo happy for you... and for your son! were the only ones that can relate to the very long journey........... its very hard but im sooooo happy for you!

which part of US are you going? maybe we could meet up for lunch??? hehehehhehe...

im so happy for you.... very........... well, yours is march 28, 2005 (my weding day too) and youll be interviewed sept 2009

its more than 4 yrs huh?

dont forget to update us.... you know! your paving the way!

thanks mitch..you are so warm..anyway,im also a Girltalker...do you know that forum?

whenever I read post about incoming interviews, I am always excited and envy those aspiring immigrants...now that its my turn, am really really overwhelmed..I even panic bout what to do when that day comes...yup, that's 4 looooong years..how time flew..my hubby always come here yearly though..but thats not to be compared when he's around all the time...im in Oceanside California, 30mins away from SanDiego...how bout you..and from where about you here in PI.

well, we were notified Oct14,2008, saying that our petition was approved..then comes Choice of Agent forms, etc etc...were you already notified? Do u already have case number?

  9. thanks mitch,

I am really tired of waiting, it is the most ridiculous thing to have to wait this long for your spouse and child to join. US immigrations laws should change in this aspect. I heard that people were getting the 2005 petitions sent to NVS for the visa number. I also heard that a couple of people had received NOA2 on I-130 filed in 2007.

National Visa Center is processing now Jan 2005. So, in one year, they have progressed 1.5 years. If they keep on doing this, it means that sometime next year visa numbers should be available for applications filed on the middle of 2006. Also, you may have to wait only about 2 years.

I hope Obama and the Congress does something to fix this - it is not fun to wait around (without your spouse or child) for about 4-5 years or more.

hi sweetapple08, I know how you I feel, its really tiring and the thought that its gonna be a long wait for us...

anyway, as I posted, my priority date was 28March2005..and yesterday I received an email from NVC regarding our

appointment which is gonna be on Sept 11,2009...yahhhooO!! this is what Ive been waiting for..im actually not expectng this since the visa bulletin posted Jan2005 priority dates...its a lil ahead..anyway, most important is that we already have schedule..by mid of August, me and my son will be having our medical...hope everything goes smoothly with the help of God Almighty...Good luck to all of us

  10. Hi! I guess this is my 3rd post here. I'm from the Philippines also... been reading a lot in this forum and havent read anyone with the same case as mine, and finally, i found both of you..or are there any other out there having the same case?

My hubby filed petition Marh 28, 2005 and thats our (with my son already) priority date...we've already passed all the documents and our case have been completed..im just waiting for a medical and interview appointment, and also waiting for the visa to become available..posted in the visa bulletin for this month is those with priority date of Dec22, 2004...

Its really hard to predict what month visa would become available.ive been checking the bulletin regularly and for the past 3months, "2months lagi iniuusad monthly ng priority dates"...but this month, it only moved 7days...whew! I assumed this month , visa would be available for Feb priiority dates, and that I hoped that by the month of August, our priority date which is March would be current...*sigh*....

I just hope, our visa would be available in the next 2months...its been 4yrs and 4monhts of waiting...but my husband goes home yearly, but you see, separation is really a great sacrifice...

  11. not anymore..her husband just need to submit the birth certificate of the newborn. and write a letter of request to add the newborn on the petition to the NVC..thats what my husband did...

my husband is an LPR or green card holder. My son who's 2yrs old is not yet included in the petition when my husband file I-130 back in 2005...he called NVC and thats what they have advised him to do, so he submitted our son's birth certficate and a letter of request..we also paid $400 for his immigrant application.
