I just wanted to let all of you know that my dad received his oath letter 3 days after his interview!!!!!

Would you plz give us some more details, What happend there for the Interviewer to give ur Dad, a decision cannot be made yet? what happend during the Interview? if u not sure, wait next week or so, hopefully your Dad will recieve his Letter. If you said he passed his Test and everything went fine. then maybe the Interviewer wanted to go over ur Dad's Paperwork, which is common.

My dad went to his interview yesterday and passed everything but was given the paper saying that a decision could not be made at the moment. He obtained his greencard long time ago with a waiver.

What would be the timeframe for the decision?

I went to the 8800 nw and 7th ave office.

I got to the USCIS local office at 7:10 am for my 7:55 am interview. IO called my name at 7:40 am and kindly asked me to sit in the second office. She asked me to swear to tell the truth and then asked me to give her my greencard. She reviewed my application and asked me several questions from the application and verified my address, etc.

I was asked to read "How many senators do we have" and then I wrote "We have one hundred senators"

Then my questions were as followed:

1. What is the name of our national anthem
   
2. What happend in the US september 11 2001
   
3. What is the rule of law
   
4. What ocean is in the west coast
   
5. What represent the 13 stripes in the flag
   
6. (cant remember...sorry)
   

After that, she asked me to verify some forms that she printed and by 8:00 am i was done. She gave me the N-652 Naturalization Interview Results congratulating me. She recommended me for approval and I had to wait to see if I could join the next Oath Ceremony. Unfortunately, it was before my 3 years so I was asked to go home and wait for the letter by mail.

My mom just got an email today saying that she was transfered to a local office for standard interview.

My mom went for her biometrics appt. feburary 5th. I will let you know when she receives her interview letter.

I applied november 31st, my biometrics appointment was scheduled for december 30th and my interview is february 18th

i received my interview letter two weeks after my biometrics and the interview was one month from the letter.

Tha is correct. My Mother is filing under the 5 years rule. I found the 2005 tax return from my sister and she has her as a dependant. So..She has 4 years of taxes as a dependant.

I guess I will send it anyways just to be in the safe side.

I'm preparing my mother's documents based on 5 years. She lived the first two years with my sister (2004 & 2005) and moved and filed taxes jointly as a dependant with my father for the years of 2006, 2007 & 2008.

My Mother doesnt work due to health issues therefore has only been a dependant.

Will this be an inconvenience for her citizenship and what can she provide for the years of 2004 & 2005 while she stayed with my sister.

I received a yellow letter which asked me to bring originals of the documents I submitted.

Nex day, I received the interview letter with the white doc. the white document was a general list of stuff you have to bring at the interview nothing specific

got interview letter yesterday. saturday 12, 2009,

yes, send it and maybe add an explanation letter stating that you have not worked
