  1. Just renewed my passport in Washington DC embassy, went in person and it took 2 months to get approved. But you better not let your current passport expire, because then they would make you prove that you are a citizen, which involves more money.

    Mike.

Do I have to make an appointment ro renew my foreign passport or just go as early as possible to the Consulate with all my papers?

  2. OK...Guys....please....help...

So...I want to renew my intern.passport thru a consulate in Houston. Can i apply docs being still registered in Russia? or do i need first to apply docs to take me off that registration and only then apply docs to renew my passport? Im confused what to do... I appreciate any feedback.

  3. Yeah, she's going to have to get it renewed in Russia. It should be a lot easier in country though.

Should only take 3 months instead of 6 in country unless you go with expedited service.

Looks like my wife is on track to get her new international passport issued within one month in Novosibirsk. She says there's a new requirement that the passport authority, at least when working within the territory of Russia, has to issue the passport within one month. I'll check back in when she has it in hand.

Im going back to Russia only for 2 weeks, and its not enough time for me to renew my passport, for sure. As soon as i will get back I want to renew it thru one of the Consulates here in Houston. Does anyone know if it is necessary to have a stamp in my passport that im still registered in Russia( according to it ,Im still living with my parents) in order to apply documents to the Consulate to renew my passport?

    Thank you all!

  4. Hey, guys! Please, help me!

Im going back to Russia in the beginning of Aug and coming back in the middle of Aug. My international passport expires on Dec 01, 2009.

My husband is worried that i can have problems with coming back to USA since my passport will expire less than in 6 months of my return..... Should i be worried? and also, is it true that its better to buy tickets on my maiden name?

    Thank you all!!!!!!

  5. I checked the guides and even read the instructions. That's what got me messed up. "Geez, I really have to send all that #######?" It didn't make sense to me that I'd have to acquire finger print cards to send in. And then all that other stuff they wanna see? Come on!

I'm going to send bank info, tax info, copies of car payment/insurance, a few photos, and that's about it.

    Think that's enough?

(Already submitted lease and marriage-related ####### last go-round.)

yep...im in the same boat, getting my paper mess togehter for I-751. But i think im in stage now when i read so much info that dumb questions started to come to my head.....and yes, i saw the sample of I-751, but it didnt help me... So.....question..Part 1-Family Name. What last name- my "girlish" one before marriage or the one that is stuck to me now?THANKS!!!! :star:

  6. Im sorry if i ask a dump question, but dont understand one thing....Why everyone is mentioning AR-11 when changing address...But what about I-865 for a sponsor(my husband) change address?? We moved last year in Feb,so i did AR-11 on line in time....but only now when its time for me to file I-751, I found out about I-865...so we just mailed it in this morning...So please, can anyone brush my brain and tell about these two forms, arent they go along with each other or not really?..... Thank you all in advance!!!!!!!!!!!
