TheGman-Congrats about getting a same day passport. By the way, how did you get the same day passport? For example, did you have any immediate travel plans in order to request for such? Did they give you any problems when you wanted your certificate back right away. Hmm..might consider this option too if I ever go to NYC (lol..which is about 6-10 hours away for me) in the future...But yeah, maybe that's better than worrying about my certificate being lost in the mail (and much cheaper too, than paying for a replacement certificate, and I get a trip out of it too!).

I work for an airline, so I have an international flight reservation, you must proof that you're flying in the next 14 days in order to have the same date passport. So my appointment was for 11:30 am, I got there @ 10:00 am, get out by 10:30 am and by 1:00 pm my passport card + passport book + certificate was ready. Everyting cost US$ 180.00 (incl. US$ 60.00 for expedited service)

i certainly hope this is just a boo-boo on uscis' part and that its for biometrics. nothing in the mail today for me so hopefully tomorrow i'll know what's up. weird that a bunch of us got these RFE emails for the same date. oh well, let's keep each other posted, ok? good luck

Certainly don't expect to see anything before Thursday, especially as yesterday was Labor Day and USPS didn't work.

Just received my mail 5 minutes ago and I got a letter from USCIS for Biometrics!!!!! My guess is that somebody new sent the wrong email format. It freaked me out the whole weekend!!!

Appointment is on the 09/17/2009 at USCIS St. Albans, VT

got an online notice of an RFE as of sept 3rd!

can't imagine what for... they got everything on earth... 3 years of tax transcripts, house lease, car papers, TWO kids birth certif., marriage certif., hubby's naturalization certif., joint bank statements, copies of my GC... everything is labeled and my A# is on everything.

so disappointed... was hoping this would be a fast and easy process. now everything is pushed back almost 2 weeks (while my case was just sitting and no one was working on it) and then however long it takes me to get them what they are asking for.

praying that whatever it is is something simple to get and send, and they get cracking on the case again asap. its been so many years of paperwork and money and time and energy spent, i am just ready to finish and never think of uscis ever again.

I had a similar e-mail to on Sept 3. I triple checked everything was in the packet I sent and know it was all there and apart from the three years tax transcripts was copies of the same documents we used for my visa application.

Makes the biometrics letter seem a hopeful outcome.

On Sept. 5th I got this email for CRIS:

I sent more than 28 items/evidence of our marriage. I actualy include an index at the beginning. I'm praying that it could be the biometrics now that more than 3 people got this email in the last week and I sent my application no more than 2 weeks ago.

Maybe the "evidence" part is having a clearance on your fingerprints. Will see on Tuesday on the mailbox 'cause Monday in Labor Day.

Hi all, I got my Green Card today in the mail, 9 days after they send me the approval notice trough an email!!!!

It looks like VSC is approving the I-751 quicker than ever.

Thanks AntandD, but what can I say about your thoughts????? I live in Vermont, the press here doen't have the presence that it has in NY, FL or MA so I don't think that's a factor. A lot of folks around here don't have a clue how the inmigration process works, they don't even know where Peru is locate!!!!

We don't have kids or any insurance together, no credit cards either...

Application Type: CRI89, PETITION TO REMOVE CONDITIONS OF PERMANENT RESIDENT STATUS RECEIVED

Current Status: Card production ordered.

On February 18, 2009, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you. If we need something from you we will contact you. If you move before you receive the card, call customer service. You can also receive automatic e-mail updates as we process your case. Just follow the link below to register.

You can choose to receive automatic case status updates, which will be sent via email. Please click here to create an account online.

Now, I sent my application on 08/20/2008, got my NOA and my Biometrics on September (sorry, can't remember the exacts days) and I've been carrying my extended letter everywhere I was going.

I was praying for a smooth and easy (no RFE or Interview) in my case and waiting for June 20th to start worrying 'cause is the average of 10 months for VSC to approve your case.

Well, somewhere up there might like me a lot 'cause in only 6 MONTHS I got approved!!!!! (by the way, my case was never forward to CSC)

So there's still hope for ALL OF YOU, don't give up!!!! I'll see you on the Naturalization Forum in June!!!!
