  1. Thank-You Lisa and Boiler ... I am relieved there is a dual intent work visa ... I think Montana is beautiful and it would be a good experience to go live there, plus I wouldnt have to leave my country. I am not going to get into a big story book here ... All I will say is I am mobile and not ugly and I do believe, stupid as that may make me look, that my husband does loves me very much and is not using me, but has an honest intent to come here and try his very best to be a good husband. God Bless You too. :)

  2. :crying: I just give up ... I am way under the poverty line and so is he ... We DO have one chance. We have applied for a job for him in Montana. They said they recieved his application and would contact him in January 2011. So, IF they hire him we can be together. I am too ill to go live with him in Morocco. I have heard it ALL about how we cannot ever do this and everyone is probably right, but I did manage with friends help to go there and meet and marry him and that was a MIRACLE !!! So, I am praying an angel will come and help us with this as well. I am not here looking for a sponsor. I want to make that perfectly clear. That is why I left and didnt come back for so long, because someone said that when I was here as a participating member. I came for help and all I got was hurt. My husband and I adore each other. God found a way for us to meet and marry and I just have to believe He will make a way with this as well. I have one cousin who dangles this in front of me like I am a dog chasing a hot dog on a stick ... If, if , if , is all I hear from him and how he will give me money for a divorce, but not the visa. My family CAN help. They just refuse to because my husband is of the Islam faith and we have a big age difference. But, I know many women who have the same situation and have conquered it. Thanks for trying to help. Please pray for us. Thanks again. Carole :)
  3. :help: Is there any visa that does not require an affadavit of support ? We have been married since June 23, 2009 ... I haven't filed because we need, according to the I-130, a co-sponsor, because I do not make enough money. I have been looking for one, but nooone, including the Islamic Center here in my city wants to do this for us. A woman on Facebook says we can do the I-129F visa and they won't ask for the affadavit of support for 2 years after he is here. But we are already married. She seemed to know what she was talking about, but I am totally confused. Can anyone help guide me to the correct visa??? Hopefully one that doesnt require a co-sponsor. Thanks. (F)

Consular Offices Abroad Resume Accepting I-130 Immigrant Visa Petitions

Effective immediately, consular posts abroad will accept petitions for immediate relative immigrant classification from American citizens who are resident in their consular districts, including members of the armed forces, as well as true emergency cases, such as life and death or health and safety, and others determined to be in the national interest.

As of January 22, 2007, consular offices abroad were instructed to cease accepting certain immigrant visa petitions because consular officers lacked the means to perform the required criminal background checks on American citizen petitioners, as required by the Adam Walsh Act.

Subsequently, the Department of State and the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service (USCIS) worked to develop a mechanism whereby USCIS will perform these required "Adam Walsh Act" checks for any petitions accepted abroad by consular officers.

To demonstrate residency in a consular district, American Citizen petitioners must be able to show that they have permission to reside in the consular district and that they have been doing so continuously for at least six months before filing the petition. Individuals who are in the country on a temporary status, such as student or tourist, would not be considered to meet the residency standard.

Examples of family emergency include minor children who would be unexpectedly left without a caretaker. Examples of national interest include facilitating the travel of United States military and other USG direct hire employees assigned overseas who are pending transfer on orders and need to petition for immigrant classification of their spouse and minor children at posts overseas.

All lawful permanent residents, and American Citizens resident in the United States or with a permanent address in the United States, must file I-130 petitions at the USCIS Service Center having jurisdiction over their place of residence (as indicated on the USCIS website: http://www.uscis.gov/files/form/i-130.pdf).

  5. Ok... so our group is at 2...........who else is waiting? Does the embassy set the interviews for Egypt? I read that NVC does the sceduling for Jordan now.

 Me ... I am waiting ... but after posting some things on OFF TOPIC and having the lid blow off, I have decided to maintain a low profile ... I am married to a Moroccan man ... We married June 23, 2009 ... I knew it would be hard for us to be together, but I had NO idea how hard ... Or expensive ... so we REALLY have to wait ... I have the I-130 sitting here staring me in the face and I can't send it in ... :( ... How do I join MENA ???

    You just did...welcome!!

    :star: THANKS !!! :)

  7. We were married just over a month and I lost my best friend today. I do not even have the words right now. Please do not listen to any inaccurate reports coming from other sources ~ I am getting the information as it comes directly from his family. I will share more details as I see fit, but please allow me to speak for my husband. I do not want him disrespected any further :( I am in shock right now and I can't accept or believe the news that I received today !! He was 26 years old. God be with us and my husband (F)

:crying: I AM SORRY MORE THAN WORDS CAN SAY ... PLEASEEEEEEEEEE, IF THERE IS ANYYYTHING I CAN DO FOR YOU IN ANYWAY, LET ME KNOW ... I AM HERE IF YOU NEED ME ... carolekhan44@yahoo.com

  8. What visa are you pursuing, if any? Are you married to your Jamal? Your profile does not state if you're applying for a K-1 fiancee or IR/CR spousal visa. In either case, the only thing that exists is an expedite for medical reasons, but you have to have filed the visa petition already. Have you done so? Whatever you're being told 'by more than one person' is incorrect. There is no such thing as an American Embassy in the US, because Embassies/Consulates are diplomatic posts of the US in foreign countries.

It sounds like you're a little unclear about the whole immigration process. Have you read the "Guides" available on this site...the offer a wealth of information and are the best starting point for you to know what options are available to bring your loved one to live with you.

    Good Luck.

LOL, The pic is fantastic !!! It is exactly how I feel !!!

  9. Here is the USCIS expedite criteria:

    USCIS Expedite Criteria

All expedite requests are reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and are granted at the discretion of the Director. The criteria are as follows:

Severe financial loss to company or individual

    Extreme emergent situation

    Humanitarian situation

Nonprofit status of requesting organization in furtherance of the cultural and social interests of the United States

Department of Defense of National Interest Situation (Note: Request must come from official United States Government entity and state that delay will be detrimental to our Government)

    USCIS error

    Compelling interest of USCIS

THANKKKK-YOU !!! This will be very helpful .

  10. i would guess that it wont be that easy, first he is mena so most the time that means longer security and also ap.

late last year thru the beginning of this year doctors were not so sure i would make it until july thanks of Allah im going to be ok.

but the point im trying to make is that even with a group of specialist giving report on my condition our expedite is on hold until security check is complete.

i hope it works for u it does not cost anything to request and expedite but i would not get my hopes up

    sara

PLEASEEE forgive me for not stating to you when I wrote to you in inbox ... I am so happy you are well now .. Praise be to God !!! Being ill and not having the one you love with you is just God awful :(

  11. That a wife who is sick has a right as an American citizen to have her husband by her side ... I AM SICK ...... not acutely, but chronically and I am having a horrible new PAIN problem that hasn't been diagnosed yet ...

Sorry, immigration is a priviledge not a right. Why haven't you been to the doctors for that pain? My limited readings, especially concerning the country involved, it is very doubtful you would get an expedited visa. You have to apply and wait like everyone else. You CAN go there and have him with you.

    Again, sorry.

Thanks for your response ... I HAVE been to the doctors and have new appointments coming ... I CANNOT live there ... I WAS there and the heat alone , with my medical conditions made it unbearable to stay ... Also, and MOST important is they do not carry my medications in Morocco. We tried very hard to get it while I was there a month ago. They do NOTTTTTTTTTTT have it ... I don't consider myself any more special than anyone else, but quite a few people have told me he CAN come be with me because I am ill ... I love my husband, and would be willing to live ANYWHERE he is ... but this medicine need makes that impossiible for now .

I am married to Jamal ... YES !!! We got married 3 weeks ago in Morocco ... I am still waiting for the papers to arrive here in USA before I can make any moves ... Just exploring ALL options ... I plan on applying for the I 130 I think it is ... You're right !!! I am a TOTAL newbie on this whole thing and need ALL the help I can get !!! I didn't think there was an embassy in USA, so WHERE do I apply for this "husband" , medical visa, this expedtion ??? WHO do I talk to ??? GO to ??? I haven't read much, but I WILL ... From what you are saying the I 130 must be filed first before I can even attempt this expedition. Thanks for your response ...

THANKS TO ALL WHO HAVE AND WILL RESPOND TO ME ON THIS ...

  13. :wow: Is there an AMERICAN EMBASSY in USA ??? I am being told by more than one person that there are visas for husbands if the wife is sick ... A " husband" visa ... A visa that can bring a man to his wife in a month's time ... That a wife who is sick has a right as an American citizen to have her husband by her side ... I AM SICK ...... not acutely, but chronically and I am having a horrible new PAIN problem that hasn't been diagnosed yet ... I have PLENTY of PROOF and documents and medical reports stating my problems and I have 2 new doctors working with me ... I NEEEEEEED JAMAL WITH ME !!!! Do you know ANYthing about this ??? I PRAY IT'S TRUE .... :help:

  14. " MY TRIP TO MOROCCO " - Well some of it ... Jul 14, '09 2:08 PM

    for everyone

" My Trip to Morocco "

    well,

    some of it ...

I just wanted to stop by and tell you ,myself that as you know, Jamal and I got MARRIED :) on JUNE 23, 2009 at 10:00 pm .... I went to Morocco on June 9th ... got there on the 10th ... Jamal met me in the airport and from there we took a train from the airport that was in one part of Casablanca to another that took 1 hour ... Then we rested for 1 nite in The Majestic Hotel in Casablanca ... In the morning we went to the American Embassy and I registered my stay there ... I still couldn't BELIEVE I was looking at Jamal in person :) ... We got along well and were really happy to be together ... From there we took a LONGGGGGGG 6 hour bus trip to Agadir and started the endless paperwork to get married. We couldn't find a hotel, so we continued on in a 1 hour taxi ride to his city Taroudant ... I fell asleep in the taxi ... I thought I was dreaming how HOT I was ... OMGGGGGG IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOT :( ... We then went to the hotel that Jamal works at and that's where we stayed for the next 15 days ... We had alot of fun with his friends and I met and loved his family ... I spent a whole day alone with his sister and Mom ... It was so nice !!! His sister did henna on my feet and hands She did such a pretty job on it too ... So we did papers and papers and papers ... I was veryyyy proud of Jamal ... he showed me what kind of man he is, how responsible he was ... I had to stay an extra 5 days to finish the paper work so we could marry ... It was EXTREMELY difficult for me because I needed more medication and I was in terrible pain and was quite ill .... but I made it through and married my man, my love ... my world, my everything as I said above, on June 23rd, in the adoul's office ... at 10 p.m. :) ... The wedding itself lacked the romance we would have liked to have, so we will have a really nice small romantic wedding when my husband comes here to me in U.S.A. which we pray will be soon, Inshallah ... Praise be to GOD !!! I'm not feeling too good at the moment .... I've been very sick with a bad back, so forgive me if this story lacks details ... Bottom line is we met, KNEW we love each other and married :) ... I am overwhelmed and not looking forward to the endless paper work ahead of us .... BUT it WILL get done and we WILL be together soon we pray .... WE STILL NEED A CO-SPONSOR for Jamal ... so PLEASEEEE .... If you know of ANYONE who would consider helping us please let me know ... THANKS :) Soooooo, That's MOST of the story ... I left Jamal at the airport on June 25th ... ( AFTER A 6 HOUR BUS RIDE & A 1 HOUR TRAIN RIDE ) ... It was probably the HARDEST thing I have ever done in my life .... I had such mixed feelings ... NOTTTT wanting to leave my husband, my love ... and needing to return home to my safe world where I have all my luxurys, such as my medications, my shower and BLESS JESUS !!!!!!!!! MY TOILETTTTTTT ... HAHAHAHA ... lol ... I WAS SO HAPPY TO USE MY BATHROOM ... LOL, Ha Ha Ha Ha ... All in all , My trip to Morocco was a VERY difficult one for me, BUT, I wouldn't have it any other way ... I LOVE JAMAL, I AM SOOOOO HAPPY TO BE HIS WIFE ... and SOOOOOO DAMNED ANGRY that we're not together now ... This was a true learning experience for me ... I am not the same woman I was when I arrived there. I will never be the same ... and ALL I want now is to be with JAMAL, HE with ME ... So, on we go .... to the RED tape ... AMEN, WE WILL BE TOGETHER SOON ... see ya :) LOVE, CAROLE

  15. " OUR STORY "

We are Carole & Jamal Sabi and we are married. We got married after 10 months of knowing each other online. We met at tagged. Jamal wrote to me for a month before I answered him. I knew I was too old for him, or he too young, but I think we fell in love with each other at our 1st IM on MSN ... We have literally been thru HELL, with well intentioned and some not so well intentioned people who thought it was their "job" to tell us not to be together or not to trust each other. I was not good and he of course just wanted a green card ... Grrrrrrrrr ... SO, IN spite of ALL of these negative things, we have weathered the storms and are happy. We have dealt with the "exes", the flirts, the time he deleted 300 men from my page and I changed his passwords on all his ID's, lol ... we've been thru sicknesses and no money and just the HELL of only having the phone and MSN ... but we made it !!! We have a LONG road ahead of red tape, but I know our love will get us thru as it has already ... Meeting his family and friends in Morocco, being treated like an equal, being loved and respected by them ... being ACCEPTED has changed me. I see life in a very different light now ... I wrote a LONG story here and it was too long and then I deleted it by accident, but it's OK, coz I think it really helped ME see ... HOW LUCKY I AM to have had this young man "find" me and love me and How fortunate for him. The secret ??? DON'T LISTEN TO PEOPLE, but believe in yourselves and God's love !!! I believe, that happiness is not a mood, but a decision, We are responsible for our own happiness. I love and adore you Jamal and I will NEVER ever stop till the day I die ... God Bless You my husband, today and always, with ALL your heart can hold that is good ... WE ARE THE SABI'S ... and WE ARE HAPPY AND IN LOVE :) ... See ya

  16.:thumbs: OMG !!! Today I lost my wedding ring down the kitchen sink drain :( I thought I would simply just DIE ... BUT a plumber kinda guy handyman came over and took the pipe apart and as I had wished AND prayed my ring WAAAASSSS in the trap of the pipe !!! I SCREAMEDDDD I was SOOOO happy, relieved & grateful AND my faith in GOD WAS renewed ... HALLELUIAH !!! After all, we're only married for two weeks and it isn't like I can go right over his house IN MOROCCO and get another one :( ... He was SO sweet when I told him I lost it and he said he'd send me TWO more rings. :) I can only hope & pray that this was an omen of the good things to come for us ... That EVEN when things look the DARKEST ... There will, there must be ... HOPE ... EVEN OUR NEEDING A CO-SPONSOR, THAT SEEMS SO HOPELESS, MUST BE POSSIBLE ... Coz, " HOPE IS NOT A DREAM, BUT A WAY OF MAKING DREAMS BECOME REALITY " ... Have a GREAT day/night ... XOXOX :)
