  1. Hello VJers!

So I have been in the US for almost 4 years now. I have my 10 year GC and wants to travel to the Philippines to visit my family.

The question is, do I need to renew my Philippine passport? or do I even need it? If so, where can I renew it in Seattle, Washington? and how long will it take to process it?

We've bought our tickets and is leaving on the 25th of December to return on the 14th of January 2014. Please Help. Thanks!!

  2. Hi.

I have been married to my husband for over a year now after 5 years of being steady and is now currently here in the US. After living with him and my in-laws, mostly with my in-laws, things aren't really working out too well. He me would yell at me and treat me bad in front of his folks and makes me cry shamelessly whenever we have a small disagreement.

I love him with all my heart but is now at the point of walking out of our marriage because of the constant taunting I keep getting from him.

He threatens to deport me whenever we have an argument. He knows I don't have anybody here but him. I have a job now but is driving his car cos I don't have my own and he threatens to hide the keys so I don't get to work. He calls me all the horrible names there is in English language and accusses me of cheating before we got married and telling me I might have STDs and that I might have given it to him.

He was my prince. But he never treated me as his princess. He was my world. He was my everything.

I would like to move on with my life, and get over this heartache and stress I'm currently in. Like I said, I have a job and a life now here in the US. I can't bear the possibility of going back to nothing in my country. I'm suppose to renew my GC next year but how will I do that if he doesn't want to participate in it and we are still married?

  3. after we made the call and got that confirmation number,.. we went to talk to the immigration officer at seattle office. They told us that we're all good and that we are suppose to get another letter from them for no longer than 45 days.

And now, I just got an email confirming the request for another appointment and that we should wait for it.

We hope we won't hit another bump.

    Good luck to us!

  4. It would help if you would fill in your timeline, but assuming that you came to the US on a K1 visa, you need to adjust your status. The Cr1 and IR1 are for for people who want to move to the US who are married to a USC or LPR; from what you said I believe that you are already in the United States, so they would not apply to you. Read the guide for how to adjust your status after the K1, which does include the I 485, amongst other forms.

    Here is the link.

  7. Hello VJ'rs!

I'm not quite sure where to post this thread but anyway i have some questions regarding my flight.

My fiance can't make it here in the PI cos of some job related issues, so anyway, I'm flying in this 17th of march.

I got three connecting flights. So my question is, do I have to take my luggage every time?

My fiance bought the ticket using mileage card so i don't know if I'm entitled to take 2 pieces of 23kls each bags for free.

Please please help me. I'm confuse and this is the first time I'm flying in a long haul flight.

  8. oh, btw,.. to those who doesn't know how to get to the cfo office in quezon city,... just take off LRT katipunan station and take the NORTH EXIT,.once you get out of the station, you just have to walk like 2mins and you're there.

If you get off on the other exit, just cross the road and you'll see a big sign saying "GOOD SHEPHERD CONVENT" or just ask somebody to point you to the place. But believe me it's hard to miss because its right in front of PSBA.

I'm taking the seminar on monday.
