  1. Hello to all,

I have filed an I30 immigrant application a 8 years ago for my brother and it was approved and still waiting for and interview who knows when, probably a few more years. In the meantime, my brother never applied for any tourist visa until now, the main reason is that my father ( who is an us permanent resident ) is receiving cancer treatment here in the US and my brother wants to visit him and spend some time with him.

So my questions are, since there is already an immigrant petition for him, would this be a problem in order to get a tourist visa? Should he mention it in the application, since there is a question about it?

Thanks in advance for your replies.

  2. Hi all, I applied for my sister a few years ago for a CR1 visa,it was approved by uscis and now it is at nvc status, I guess it would take a few more years to get the residency for her; she moved from Peru to Argentina, now she is living in Argentina, but I want her to come to visit for the holidays, she is planning to apply for a tourist visa, I am sending an invitation letter, i dont know if this would be helpful or would hurt her chances to get a tourist visa. she has a good job in Argentina, renting an apartment and have bank accounts there. Three years ago she was denied a tourist visa in Argentina, do you think that my invitation letter will help her out to get a visa this time? She needs to prove strong ties to Argentina, any suggestions? Thanks

  3. I agree, Its not like they will be asked for a narration. They should only answer questions they have been asked and not voluntarily offer information e.g "...and my daughter is not working". If it gets to the point where they are asked "what does she do?"..they could say "she just recently relocated and is in the process of securing another job but our son-in-law, her husband is the cosponsor and is able to support the family( or something in that line)...inorderwords, they are telling them the truth but also asking them not to write off your situation yet and at the same time providing a viable zlternative and support :)

Let us know the outcome...and all the best

Great news , my parents have been approved, very happy now, thanks for the advice!!!!!

@ Aleful & ndul246, thanks for your advice, I think you guys are right.

there is no need to lie, I will tell my parents only to answer the questions that are been asked for,

and tell the truth if extra info is needed.

Hopefully everything will be fine, thanks again and I 'll keep you posted!!!!!

  5. Thanks for your advice Nigeriaorbust, I dont want to lie but I am also concern about the final decision since I am not working and I am the main sponsor, my husband is the one who is working and he filed as my co sponsor as well, and he makes way over the requiere income. I wanted to qualify as a principal sponsor that is why I was telling my parents not to say anything about this, but probably that wouldn't be a good idea..... I'm so confused......... Would they know that I'm not working at this moment?

  6. Hi everybody, I need some advice, my parents will have a IR5 visa interview in a few days, but I am concern because I had to move to another state and I have no job at this moment, I informed of my change of address to NVC as well. Would this be an issue for my parents in the interview? Should they say anything about it or just keep it as I never moved out of the state? . BTW my husband is my cosponsor as well, he is currently working. Thanks for your advice.

  7. Hello

I just need some help please to fill up the Affidavit of Support I-134, in question 10 says I HAVE SUBMITTED A VISA PETITION TO USCIS ON BEHALF OF THE FOLLOWING PERSON(S). Obviously I should put my husband's name there but my question is should I INCLUDE my brother's and sister's name since I also filed a petition for them by Nov of 2008, OR SHOULD I JUST LEAVE MY HUSBAND'S NAME THERE?I did it because I knew that petitions for siblings take forever, so I decided to start the process for them . They already have a case number with USCIS but still pending for approval .

    Thanks for your answer
