hey everyone,

my wife and i have filed for her aos and recently received her employment authorization!!!!

she wanted to chenge her name after the wedding to take my last name.

is it ok to change her name even though we applied for the aos with her real last name??

is ther a form or a process i can go through to change her name officially with the uscis and

the aos process that we are going through??

hey everyone,

alittle worried here my wife and i sent her adjustment of status packet to the chicago lockbox on the 18th (over night mail) and have not heard a thing since and today is the 29th is uthat normal the check has not been cashed and i am worried that it got lost.

i know i may just be worried but just wanted to know if that is normal.

so when her 90 temp work auth. is up she can not work???

hey everyone.

My fiancee and i just got married (she on a k-1 fiancee visa)

she was given the temporary 90 day work authorization

we mailed in our packet to the chicago lock box for adjustment of status

and for work authorization.

My question is when her 90day temp work authorization is up on oct. 5th

can she work while they are processing her papers for adjustment of status

and for her new work authorization??? it may be 2 more months!!!

the only thing i see on the visa that may be considered a non immigrant visa number is a

control number??? its like 14 digits long

is that the one????

hey everyone my fiancee and I are filling out her I-485 form after a wounderful wedding and a relaxing honeymoon

on the 2nd page it asks for her non immigrant visa number is that the same as the a# or something totally different??

I think my brain is fried from all of these papers

I have been trying to find out if after my fiancee and I get married( she will be in the u.s. on a k-1) can we travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas) for our honeymoon?? I have posted and searched all over and have not yet found a real solid answer. Can anyone help?????

I have been going nuts trying to find out

hey guys,

My fiancee and I recently recieved our approval for the k-1 visa.

She finishes school in july and want her to finish her degree, so were planning

to get married on the visa in july. My question is now that her visa was accepted

and she passed the interview can she travel to the u.s. just to visit and then go back to belgium

then come to the u.s. in july to get married??

I just recieved my approval notice for my fiancee's K-1 visa and we are so excited!! Now we have to plan our honeymoon and were not sure if we were allowed to travel to the U.S. Virgin Islands (St. Thomas, St. John, St. Croix). This would be wounderful but I am not sure and was hoping that someone could help us out, and as informative as this website has been to me and my visa process i am sure you all will.
