  1. Greeting everyone ,

Hopefully you all can guide and point me in the right direction. My husband is a permanent Resident , his 15 year old daughter who was born and lives in Monterrey Mexico wants to come to high school in California with us. She currently has a Visa to travel to the states , she just visited us in southern California this past January. What is the fastest and correct way to get her to come to the states for school, I would love for her to be able to start this next school year. We haven't submitted my husband citizenship paperwork because we haven't had the money to pay the fee's but wondering if there is another way. Please Help, thanks so much.

    -Blessings

  2. Hello How is everyone,,

Quick question , sorry i tried to google online for the answer but I can get better answer on here..my husband currently has a green card and he is now able to apply to become a U.S Citizen.. recently he had to go to the emergancy room because he had horrible pain in abdomen... he doesnt have insuracne through work because he is not due for it... if he applies for

Medi-cal insurace to cover this expense.. can or will this affect his application for citizenship, please advise ? i dont want to take any chances..

    thanks so much,

  3. Hello People,

Hope everyone is well and blessed !!! Question, please direct me in the right path..... My husband just got his conditional status removed ( yeah ) and now he is a legal Permanant Residant. He has 2 daughters... a 15 year old in the Dominican Rep and another in Mexico.. when doing all of his paper work to sponser him to the USA as my fiance and then status adjustment and then remove condition on green card he put his daughter from Mexico in all forms where asked about children.. he didnt mention the one in DR because his name is not on her birth certificate , he has always had a relatiobship with his daughter but never realy know if he was her actual biological father, He would like to take a DNA /paternity Test and bring her to the united states..what steps should we take to make this happen?? of course DNA test i assume can be expensive so is there a Immigration type DNA test and if taken how long it is vaild for ..etc...

    thanks in advance

  4. Hello All, Hope everyone is having a good New Year so far. I have a question. I am a U.S Citizen and my husband has his resident alien card, it actually a conditional, his 2 years will be this coming October 2011, I immigrated him as a K1 then adjusted status. He has a daughter in the Dominican Republic who will turn 15 this coming July 2011. We want to bring her to the states, what do we need to do to start this process and how much time estimated are we looking at. Since I am a U.S citizen am I able to do anything to speed up process? but she is not my Biological daughter? is anyone has expierance on this can you please give me some insight ???

    Thanks so Much

  5. Hi Good Morning !!

My fiance Alejandro had his K1 visa approved March 23rd  YEAH !!!

He entered the states March 27th, we are not married yet but will be by this week or next , YEAH AGAIN !!! . I was wondering because I thought I had read somewhere that it's okay for a k1 visa holder to attend school but not work, is this correct ?? as soon as we get married I am going to start the AOS process and send it off so his Work Auth can come in the mail but it's my understanding that it can take 60-90 days so of course he wants to occupy his time, please advise, if it's okay for school, trade school, something ????????

  7. Hi everyone, I'm new to this fourum, but was highly recommended by "Buggylifer" I met Mark and Pita in Juarez as she was APPROVED FOR HER K1..My fiance and I sadly need to go back , Here is my story. I met my fiance Alejandro in April 2006 in Mexicali Mexico, got engaged Feb 1, 2008.. My fiance is from the Dominican Republic but has been living in Mexico for about 8 years now. He has never been to the U.SA. No priors in any country, basically he's a good citizen. We got to Juarez Feb 9th, he had Medical exam hat day, picked up results next morning and headed to conslate since he had open appt. Well when he came out he was upset and crying..he had been told he needed to gather a few more items and come back to consulate( he was given a blue form with needed documents).

These were the forms we initally took to interview( moat were not even looked at)

    Invitation letter

    i-797C approval letter- expires 2-20-09

    DS156

    DS156K

    DS157

    2 passport pictures

Original/certified Birth Certificate for him and his daughter who WAS BORN IN Monterrey Mexico ( not Immigrating her)

Proof of relationship ( lots of proof)

My income info and my parents ( i was laid off work Dec 4th, not working right now)

    CDJ-402- INTENT TO MARRY FORMS

Police letter from Mexico- no priors

Now my immigration conslate said that I did not need to fill out I-134, but have been told by many others that I did need to fill out this forms..

to make the story short: the consular didnt even bother to look at most of the items.. oh by the way this was already after they took his finger prints, he said Consular was in a horrible mood..He got to consulate at 8am and didnt leave until 4:30pm

He was told he needed: acta de nacimiento "actual" ??? Which means what ? the one he gave them was dated for June 2007

Next item: Police report from Dominican Republic

    - Seach Registro civil where his daughter was born, search 5 years before her birth and 5 years after to verify that he was never married in Mexico

    - and last they want the old book of his FM3, which is his visa to be in mexico.. My fiance said that when he renewed his visa Mexican Immigration kept the old booklet and gave him new book, so i guess he have to search and investigate with Mexican Immigration.

Have any of you ever heard this before.. why would they ask for a new birth Certificate when the one he had was ceritifed copy from 2007-- DO YOU guys suggest I have his search the Registar in Dominican Republic to get letter he wasnt married there too??

The Consular didnt mention to him that he had open appt, Do we have to call to make another appt? they kept that letter along with other tiems..

How long are the Medical Exam good for??

Do we have to pay another Banamex Fee?

Sorry lots of questions..but I want to make sure next visit to Juarez is the last!!

Good to meet you all..hope you guys can help me out.

Score another for immigration attorneys, BAH!!!! All of these items are STANDARD interview forms included in the packet 3 you can download for free at the same time you do the petition. These can all be downloaded for FREE and prepared before you even get the NOA2.

    1. Dump the attorney, raise hell and try to get the money back (good luck)

    2. file for an extension to your I-129f approval, you will get it, but you need to file for it.

    3. gather all the documents and go for it again. Any document in any laguage other than English must have a certified translation

    4. Downlaod packet 3 from the embassy website and make SURE you have evrything in the checklist.

    5. reschedule appointment

fortunatley it sounds like you will have no problem when all the documents are completed and presented, just an unnecessary delay.

Hi , thanks for responding. You know I agree it's a huge unnecessary delay where more money will have to be spent!!!!!! AHHHHHHHHHH!!!

I am a little confused, because on all your timelines I am seeing something about "Packet 2, Packey 3" I dont know what this is, because I was told Initally that when Consulate Recieved my information they would send Packet..but nothing but invitation letter Came in mail. So we go on the Ciudad Juarez, Mexico Consulate website and there is very few forms...only like 4..so if it wasnt for other forums I would have been even more short on forms. Im a little upset with Immigration consultant because I dont think he is as expierence in K1 Visas..

I have set up new appt for March 23..I guess i am going to take extra forms even if they are not needed..I want to be safe then sorry...

So I need to know what forms, Im missing?

I m currently not working , got laid off ( housing industry) I get unemployment compensation, should I still send that information,, the consular kept my 2008 tax returns ( is that normal) I had a good year.. I also included my Parents asset information.. I have to fill out I-134 FORMS FOR BOTH ????I am currently going through my background investigation to work for as Customs and Border Protection ( IMMIGRATION OFFICER) I am really towards the end and should be going to training academy..since i AM NOT WORKING but will soon, should I include that information so it looks better???

    Help Help help!!!

    Thanks!

  8. Hi everyone,

It's me again, I have many questions and want to make sure I get it right 2nd time around. Do I need to call Consulate in Ciudad Juarez to set up appt since they asked for more documents, or should I expect to get a letter with open invitation, they gave my fiance Alejandro a blue form with documents needed? Can someone please help me, Call to make appt ??

    Marlene

  9. Yes we are doing K1 - already went to Consulate but need to go back.. So the consulate will automatically extend the NOA ??

    Marlene

    Yes, they should extend it.

Again, you may want to contact them or DOS to ask about it.

I think we may need to contact the Mexican Embassy , the other link is from teh Dominican Republic.. All the applications went through Mexico because that is where he has been living for past 8 years. The consulate that has our file is Ciudad Juarez Mexico. Im sorry.. I feel like an idiot, im sure you can understand my frustration.. we went to Juarez with high hopes and now all this begins again.... would you suggest me to call Consulate to set up new appt, will we have too , i mean we had an open appt.

  10. What visa are we talking about??? K-1?? Your profile lacks details like what you filed for: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...rCP&CODE=01

    :time:http://www.visajourney.com/timeline/profile.php?id=61952

If K-1, the consulate will extend the NOA2 validity until they are finished with your case. FAQ: http://www.visajourney.com/faq/k1k2visa-I129f.html#3.7
