    Hello all,

    My wife just had an interview at Islamabad embassy. The CO told her that the VISA has been approved and she will get her visa in 2 weeks. He gave her a pink token number and attached it with a sheet which has the courier company's address. My concern is that the CO also gave her passport back??

    Can anybody please confirm if they stamp the passport with the VISA or they just send the Visa Packet for CR1. If they just send the visa packet, do they keep the passport or give it pack to the beneficiary at the time of the interview?

    congrats to your wife on getting the visa!!!! they will return her passport with the visa inside. the visa is a sticker sticked on one of the passport pages :dance: :dance:

    You worry too much like me!!! I sent them the police report, but they said that my wife will have to bring it at the time of interview. It will expire anyway, so we will get a new one. But i sent them the original one. Please let me know if same thing happens to you! Only one operator told me about it, but I also recived an email from NVC that says the same thing.

    Same thing happened with me. This is a normal rfe for pakistani's because of the 90 days only validity of the police character certificates. My husband will be taking a new one with him to interview when the time comes. I was pretty happy that my entire review was completed in JUST 5 DAYS!! But then I got so depressed that oh no.....I got an rfe. Then when I received the checklist I understood that obviously they would be needing the police certificate at interview time...I should have anticipated that anyways. So, I would call this a false RFE if anything at all. Nothing to be worried about, atleast we don't have to mail anything and wait for out cases to complete!! So nothing to worry about.^_^

    Congratulations for case completion!! When did they complete your case and could you update your timeline!!

    Per NVC Operator, our case is on Final Review and was told to call back tomorrow or Friday for an update. I was also told that my wife needs to bring PCC at the interview. Hopefully they complete our case by tomorrow. :innocent:

    PCC was issued by the City Police Office Lahore and there is no expiration date mentioned on the document. Does you PCC had an expiration date listed?

    By the way i just spoke with an Operator and i was told that my case is still under review. Do you know normally how long does it take for them to complete the case after they disable the Login on their website?

    I think within 1-3 days, your case should be complete. Mine took about 3 days. Yes, our PCC has an expiration date. It was issued in May and it will expire in August. It was issued from Rawalpindi City Police Office. I am not that worried because we will need a new PCC anyway.

    Yaar, filghts are all packed up in August especially flights from Pakistan because all people will be coming back from summar vacation!! I just spoke to my Travel agent and he says taht even now, it is all packed up and if you buy a ticket in August, it will be very difficult to get a seat. ok, Best of luck again for case completion and for interview :thumbs:

    Yeah, i am kinda worried about the packed flights as well. Etihad is much better than any other airline since they have Daily flights from JFK.

    Does this mean that all my documents are correct no RFE for these???

    We have reviewed the documents which you submitted in support of an application for an immigrant

    Well, if by normal you mean does everyone go through it then no. But lots of people's ds230's and aos packages go under supervisor review. It's also called a second review. Usually they are just making sure that all of the information is correct. Usually supervisor review used to be for complex cases....but nowadays most cases are considered complex. I suggest you review what you sent in your ds230 packet and try to predict the outcome of the review....whether you may or may not have caused an rfe. Double, then triple the fripple(that is so not a word) checking is always the best. If you find anything worrying, just let us know on here...maybe we could help clarify whether you'll get an rfe or not. And if you do (god forbid) get an rfe at least since you double checked and knew before they issued it you could easily prepare yourself to send in the missing or incomplete info, saving yourself upto a week or two in extra waiting time.

    BTW, I wouldn't worry too much, loads of people get second and even third or forth reviews before their reviews were complete. They are usually just cross checking information....basically double checking.

    Hopefully i am not getting an rfe, because i checked my package like 10 times before mailing it out to them.

    Yes, I think you are good to go because these are all the docs that I sent them and my case was just completed yesterday. Don't worry! Hopefully, your case will be completed within few days. Just wondering, did u get the birth certificate from NADRA or from local Union Council??

    I sent my Wife's Original Urdu Birth Certificate (Town Hall used to issue the originals) AKA Birth parchi and i got the Certified translation from NADRA. Now NADRA is the only issuing authority for all Birth Certificates. The document i got from NADRA has details in Urdu and English. You need to go to the Town Hall (Mall Road Lahore) to request this NADRA document.

    Do you know if your case went to the Supervisor before they completed it?

    I am looking at the NVC website and there is nothing mentioned about the Spouse (Petitioner's) BC. see below

    The DS-230 is all about the beneficiary, so only the beneficiary's BC is required. Good luck! :)

    hi S&F how did u get your case number? i just called and they said they have no record of my file yet! why am i so unlucky!

    i called them yesterday and the AVR was playing the message that they do not have any records of my case.

    I called this morning and AVR gave me the case number and it was entered in the system on May 11th.

    So maybe your case has been assigned and the AVR hasn't been updated yet? Try to talk to an operator?

    Congrats S&F for NOA 2....

    I have one question for u....did u apply for K3 only & I-130 or only I-130(Because my NOA 1 date is Feb 3 & still waiting for NOA 2 :( ).

    I submitted I-130 only (CR1).

    Trust me you will be getting your approval really soon. Looks like there is something wrong with their website and it doesn't show the updated status of the case. Maybe your petetion has been approved and the status didn't change on the website. Maybe you will get your NOA2 letter in the mail tomorrow?
