  1. hi everyone.. I need your help. I already have my K1 visa which was approved last December. In the course of 3 months, a lot of things happened, my fiance and I mutually decided not to pursue getting married soon due to the many personal matters involved. We agreed of delaying the plans since we both realized that we might have just been deceived by our emotions in getting married too soon. We love each other, yes, but there are areas we still need to work on and for us to prepare ourselves more for a better partnership in time..

    1. I just want to ask what shall I do with my visa? leave it like that and let it expire? or shall I inform the embassy regarding the changes of our plans?

By the way I am planning to get a tourist visa since I already have my ticket and a two more round trip passes to US issued by my employer (Philippine Airlines). Will there be any conflict if I apply a tourist visa now since my K1 isn't expired yet?

I need your help.. sad.gif it was never easy to decide not to pursue but we really have to.. I just praise God we're still good and ok. Appreciate your future responses! God bless

  3. Gud day everyone! To those who know sumthing about my concern:

I already have my visa, it has been delivered to me on dec 7 last yr.. The visa is valid until may 19, 2010. My fiance and I were planning to get married on May, I was hoping to leave on the last week of April since I still have my work here in PAL and I can't leave my job yet because im still waiting for the result on my inquiry to the company regarding the benefits i will get. (I was about to receive 4 sets of roundtrip tickets and cash for my service but to be given on May) My question is, will I still be able to make it if I move my flight on May 10 (granting that my visa is still valid for entry to the US)? 'coz I was thinking that the immigration officers in my point of destination (GUAM) might throw questions on me why I left philippines that late..

One more thing.. Me and my fiance are both ministers of the same church.. since i cant leave the philippines soon until may, we decided to ask you guys if we can do sumthing about this:

We were about to attend a seminar in Malaysia on June 6, 2010. I know it would be impossible for me to attend it if I have already entered Guam by May. But is there any possibility that we can adjust the validity date of my visa? pls don't get me wrong with this. This conference is very important for me and my fiance to attend together to.. We were just hoping if we can do something about it.. Then marriage takes place after the conference.

If I can't do something to adjust my status then I would definitely leave on May 10, But if by chance there is a way to attend the conference, we will be very glad about it! smile.gif

We would appreciate your response.. Godbless everyone!!

  5. I was called at window 29 last dec 3, the consul was a good looking guy.. like in his early 30s.. he looks very serious.. didnt even give me any facial expressions.. i thought he was going to flunk me.. not until he said CONGRATULATIONS.. honestly, the whole 5mins of my interview felt like the last 5 mins of my life.. my heartbeat was very fast and i feel numb at all.. u know.. if u were able to browse through the forums, ur case is not a rare case.. there a lot who experienced the same,.. dont be bothersome.. try calling them again.. fight for what u believed in..

  6. i think we both fell on the same consul for the interview.. i agree, he is very sensitive on what he wants to hear from u.. what particular question did he ask u? think it through.. u may have missed something or may have delivered the answer wrong.. just don't lose hope.. there are cases like that.. sometimes they even ask the applicant to go back in a week or so for them to have enough time for further checking.. God is in control.. NOTHIN'S IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM WHO BELIEVES.. Il include u in my prayers.. Let HIS will be done :)

  7. Hi everyone! Good day! i just had my visa approved last Dec. 3, 2009. Got the whole package last week and found out that my visa is valid until May 19, 2010. I just want to make it clear.. When will the 90 days period start counting? as soon as i stepped in the US or as soon as I received my visa which was last week? I am a bit confused with the 90day-period. Tnx hope yiu could help me.. God bless!

  14. hi people! gud day! my fiance just passed our form application form last may 21 this year.. we were just kida confused as we read different timelines from different VJ members..He lives in Guam and filed his petition there.. According to the General Instructions of for i-129f, if a person lives in guam, the payment should be made in treasury, guam. Im not sure if we got it right.. He got money order and included the payment inside our package.(money order was labeled for treasury, guam as how it was stated in the guidleines). can u help us with this?? we're a bit worried.. tnx for ur immediate response!

  15. hi everyone! i just wana ask if it is possible for the petitioner and the beneficiary (i.e. me and my fiance), that after i've been approved for a k1 visa, and have been married as soon as arriving in the us,,could travel in any state like visiting his family in new jersey and my family in maryland?? (we will be living in guam) but as soon as i complete my residency there, we are planning to get jobs in the mainland wherever.. hopefully so we cud be with our families, getting there in a much cheaper and easier way.. :) il appreciate all ideas and advises.. thank you!!

  16. good day to everyone.. i need your help again.. i just wana make it clear.. if im my fiance's going to have a co-sponsor to petition me, should he submit the affidavit of support together with the i-129 packet?? should he include it on the i-129 cover letter? pls pls.. we're already getting ready to submit our papers.. i need immediate help.. it gets me confused.. thank you!! goodluck everyone and godbless!!

  17. Having met the person u wud want to marry is an essential requirement. The reason is not only for the approvement of your visa but also for your personal security as his fiance. How can u even tell everyone that you've totally known that person if neither u nor him haven't experienced the joy of physically being together?? If he really loves you, he'll go beyond his reasons. think about it.

  18. gud day.. my fiance lives in guam and work there as a guest service offcer. the problem is, upon gathering the datas and the requirements that we need in filing the petition, we learned that his annual income should be at least 125% of the poverty line.last year, he didnt make it so we need to have a co-sponsor. is it still possible that we get approved with a co-sponsor?

  19. hi there everyone, i need knowledge from anybody who has filed a k1 visa. My bf is in guam and currently working as a guest service offcer in a hotel, according to the requirements in filing the visa, the petitioner should have met at least 123% of the s poverty line. last yr, he was able to complete $14,000 as an annual income but still, not reaching the upper 125%. Jus wana ask if its possible to include an affidavit of support from his aunt living with him since his parents are both in mainland. will an affidavit of support matter in filing a k1 visa?? is there a possibilty to et denied because of this? pls pls.. il be very glad to get response.. godbless!!
