213 days, no touches, no RFEs !!! no NOTHING.........
I would be calling SOMEBODY on a daily basis.

...and I guess my next question would be, how do you delete a topic that you accidentally posted multiple times?
LOL. Hey it is a good topic.
We used pretty much normal communication, telephones and email. Expensive, but it produces trackable "evidence" that can be presented at the interview. Mainly it was our choice because we were both working and with the 7 hour time difference it was difficult to choose a time to "meet" online. We used long distance phone cards, purchased on the internet for our calls which saved lots of money. They also produce a printable "call log" of all calls for interview evidence.
I visited her 5 times in the time since we met until she arrived.
We also worked on all our Packet 3 documents. I downloaded packet 3 when I sent the petiition and we got all the documents we needed, got them translated, everything was ready before we got our NOA2. The day the embassy got our case, I made the interview. As it turned out, we never received packet 3 from the consulate, good thing we were prepared and not waiting for someone to send something.
Thanks for the advice! I save all of our messenger conversations onto a pindrive. I have them all nice and organized by date and month. I plan on taking that to the interview just in case.
We have already started working on the packet 3 as well and we are really at a stand still point until we are a bit closer to the interview...I sent out the I-129F packet on Feb. 12, only 8 days ago. So we are super prepared, ready and all of that. Just struggling daily with the waiting.
I don't know, I guess we are just going to do the best we can and get used to the waiting
UNLESS..............we can smuggle her in my carry on! She is pretty small.....

Just curious, I would like to hear different ideas about what everyone is doing or has done to pass the time until thier fiance comes to the U.S. and how you make it as easy as possible for each other. Currently my fiance and I use Yahoo Messenger with webcam and the free calling that it offers. It is pretty good considering it is a free service but of course it's nothing like physically being together. So if anyone has any good suggestions, fun ideas or anything like that to pass the time, I would love to hear it! Thanks!

Can someone point me in the right direction? I am very lost after the NOA2. It says to wait until your fiance recieves package 3. What should I be doing? Waiting on the package like it says or mailing him stuff myself? Just don't know what the next steps are.....can someone explain. Thanks!
mail everything that you have recieved from USCIS...your NOA1..NOA2....pics, aff of support....look at the guides, it will tell you exactly.
then you sit and wait for your fiance to recieve the packet 3, take the medical and go to the interview
read the guides, everything is in the GUIDES
What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2): 1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).
2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.
3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).
4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is notarized (by a US Notary Public), with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.
5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.
6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.
7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now).
Examples: Copies of phone bills, cell phone bills, emails (you can edit personal info with a marker), letters (edit personal info also), stamps on the letters (to document the date they were sent), and other written documentary proof. Provide a reasonable amount; two to four of each type. Pick a range of dates up to and including the present. You can also include a copy of engagement ring receipt (this is something that is a big optional - do not worry if you do not have a ring yet!)
NEVER EVER sit back and wait for anything, unless you paid an attorney lots of money, no one should be waiting for anything (it is one of the "benefits" of paying attorneys, you get to wait more)
Go to the website of the consulate you will use, TODAY, when you filed the petition would have been better, but TODAY will have to suffice. Download the packet 3 and get working on everything NOW. He should have had his police certificate by now, as soon as you get the NVC case number, make the medical appointment. Get everything translated, there is lots to do and you should MOVE IT, MOVE IT, MOVE IT!!!!! Do you think anyone on earth is more anxious about this than you? Do it today and it will save you 6 weeks, minimum, in the process (3 weeks from NOA2 to consulate and 3 weeks to receive this packet 3, which you can receive today, and could have months ago) As soon as your documents are ready you can make your appointment. We made our appointment the exact day the case was in their files in Kyiv. When they hit the "enter" key on your case at the consulate, their phone should ring and it should be YOU making an interview appointment because you haven't waited for them to do anythiing except hit that enter key For what it is worth , my wife has her green card and the packet 3 is yet to be delivered to her flat in Ukraine. Our online status of our I-129f petition is "received and pending". DO NOT WAIT.
As soon as you have the packet 3 downloaded, get the papers you will need for the AOS so all those are ready before he arrives. We never waited for anyone and went from petition in the mail to green card in hand in less than 10 months and only OUR schedules delayed it that long. Could have been, minimum, 3 months sooner but for our own schedules interfering with interview dates, etc. Our interview was in August, ALL our packet 3 documents were ready in MAY, before we received the NOA2. We had only to make the medical appointment and I waited until the last minute to put the final figures in my I-134 but I didn't have to.
I'm sorry...Where can I find the information for the Packet 3? We will be using the Bogota, Colombia consulate. Thanks!

us too, just got our NOA1
Hey friends! I havent filed just quite yet. I just returned today from Bogota today and had my sweetheart sign the necessary papers. I am going to sent it out on Thursday!!!
Is anyone else using the Vermont filing center? From reading previous posts, I get the feeling that it might take longer than the usual 6 months...Is this so?

So, I am a few months into this waiting game after I have received the NOA1. I have the case number and I am checking the USCIS site almost daily (like everyone else I imagine). Just curious as to what a "touch" looks like when you view the case status. Does it just say TOUCH, a new date or what? Nothing has changed since the first time I logged in. Thanks!
