  1. Hello,

I havent had a chance to post the interview details since I just got back to the States today. The interview was on 11/05 at 8am. I took some originales and copies of all the paperwork. We got there and they let me in since I am the petitioner. We got inside and after 10 mins. they called my mom but we all three of us went to the window. They just wanted to verify that they had all the paperwork and they gave me back some copies that they didn't need anymore. We went back to sit down for about 45 mins( it was a long wait....my dad was sleeping most of that time) and then we were called to go to another window. The lady asked my mom and dad to sign the DS 230 (the last page) and then made us to swear that everything was true. Then, she started asking some questions to us.

How long have they been married?

If I was conceived after they got married?

How many children do they have and where do they live?

If they have ever stayed in US more than 6 months while they were using their turist visa?

Also the lady asked me, where do I live and where do I work? Since I am not working at this moment I told them that I am a full time student and I am doing my externship now. then, she asked me for my husband's (sponsor) and son's name and where they were born. After that, she said : "We have all the paperwork and everything is right, so I will issue the visa and welcome to America"

It was very quick no even 10 minutes. My parents and I were very excited and they picked up the visa today from DHL.

I am very happy that this process is over...Once again, thank you guys for the guidance in this process...

  2. hello there,

just a quick update. my parents had their medical exams last thursday and everything was fine.they had their results later the same day.

When my parents called to make their medical appointment they were told to bring the letter showing when their interview date were...because they scheduled their exams at least 2 weeks prior the interview.

I'll be flying to see my parents and we will go to the interview together. I emailed to the USembassy in my country asking them if they would let me be at the interview and they said yes, beneficiaries and petitioner and/or sponsor can be at the interview.

    i hope everything goes well.....

  3. If you are separated, you need to file for a waiver, and all supporting documents, plus a letter explaining that you marriage was bonafide but things didnot work out. Then , you will receive a letter for fingerprints and then USCIS will send you a letter saying that they need to see you final divorce decree and then they will make a decision.....that;s what happen with my brother.....the whole process took like 8 months...he was tryingt to remove his conditionds, but instead he joined the navy and he got his citizenship in couple months after joining....so he didn't even show his divorce decree to USCIS.

  4. Hello everyone,

I just called NVC to find out if they approved my AOS(I 864)for my parents. They said everything was fine...no RFE's on 864......good!!!Also, they told me that they are waiting for the DS 230(biographic forms) which I mailed them yesterday...so they should be getting sometime today. I should've send them last week, but I was waiting for my parent's passport pics.

My family (sisters and brothers in law) and I here in the States are planning to visit my parents sometime in November or december....and since I am going to my country, Do anybody knows if they would let me be in the interview day at the US Embassy? or I am not allowed to go inside for the interview?

    Thanks

  6. Hello Tayriver, Richard or anyone who can help me please,

I am excited but at the same time nervous because I am not sure what should I do now:

I have case number assigned for both parents at NVC last week. Few minutes ago , I only got the choice of agent form and AOS fee for $70 for my mom. I have 2 questions:

    1. Even though they sent me the choice of agent form to sign it and return it, I want to do it by e-mail so they can receive and acknoledge faster. But, is there a form or a letter sample that I write when I send this email to NVC. Please guys tell me whjat did you write on there.

2.I know that I only have to pay $70 once(mom and dad), but Should I pay now or do I need to wait until I got an email from NVC regarding my dad's choice of agent and AOS for my dad...

Please guy help me with these question asap.....

    thank you so much

  7. I have a question,

Richard UK, It looks like our documents are being processed almost at the same time....

I got a case number assigned for each parent on August 18th, I gave them my email and parent's email address and I am still waiting for the choice of agent. Are they going to e-mail me that form(ds 3032) or do I need to call to see if the choice of agent has been generated?? What did you do?

Also, I am getting a little bit confused about if I should translate some docuemnts such as police records or should I just mail them in spanish whenever the time comes? I friend of mine told me that I do not need to translate some documents for the DS 230 if they are in english or spanish.

Pls everybody tell me your experience...

    thank you.

  8. Hello,

I am just waiting to call NVC on monday to see if they have assign a case number for my parents petition yet. My parents sent me their police records, and court records in spanish....Do I need to translate this documents too? I read on this forum or somewhere that the only documents that I DO NOT need to translate are the police and court records...Pls, I want to make sure that I am doing this correct.,.....I checked the NVC website and they say that ALL documents need to be translated. Please, can anyone clarify me on this?

    Other questions,

What is the email address that I need to send the Choice of Agent? Do I need to wait until I get the case numbers from NVC, correct?

    Thank u so much.....

By the way, My I-130 was in VSC , not in CSC.

  9. Hello everyone!!!

I got my I-130 aproval notice by email yesterday. But, I am still waiting for the I-130 notice sheet to come by regular mail.

I have all the documentation ready to mail to NVC, but sometimes I get a little bit lost....Iam afraid to miss something up and delay the process.

    I have a question:

The next step is to email the choice of agent, but do I need to wait to get the NVC assigned number for the 2 cases(mom and dad)? or Can I just email it to NVC? If so, what is the NVC email address?

Thank Tayrivers and others that post their experience. We all can benebit from there. I am sure I will have more questions later...

  10. Hello,

I became US Citizen in January, and I want to submit the petition to bring my parents as permanent residents.

My big concern is that I do not know if the embassy (interview) will approved my parents to come to US. because when I left my country I had a J-1 visa and I didnot go back like I supposed to. I overstayed in the states until I met (my husband now), and then I started with all my paperwork...

I read some of the interviews at the embassy, and the officers ussually ask the beneficiaries how the petitioner went to U.S. , i mean what kind of visa ....I don'y know if any of you overstayed here in the states and then when become us citizen , file the petition for their parents....Please let me know if you think I will have problems bringin my parents.

    Thank you so muchhhh....

    Nancy
