I received a white paper with the date and time of interview (Jan.31,2013 at 10:30am).it's funny,my interview is in Jackson,MS and i thought it was going to be in New Orleans. I never knew anyone having their interview in Jackson...really..!

How come it says on my White Paper •request for Applicant to Appear for Initial Interview"? Is there a second interview? No Yellow Paper for me...whatcha guys think...?

Hi formywife! When you checked your online status, was it "Placed inline for interview" or "Scheduled for interview" ?

I've been "inline for interview" since Oct.31,2012. Then " scheduled for interview" last Dec.27,2012.

I should receive the Interview Letter for place and time in the next 7-14 days after Dec.27. (You will receive IL only after you have been scheduled for interview as per online status. But remember that sometimes USCIS website has some glitches).

Anniversary was Nov.30,2012.

Seems like ive been moving through the process every almost end of the month.

Oct.31:placed in line

Dec.27: scheduled for interview.

Fingerprint letter on hand,gonna be on Sept.24,2012 at 8am. Mixed feelings still! Boohoo! Anxious about the early filing....should i call uscis again?

I spoke to USCIS on the phone and asked about it,since I also sent mine earlier. Sent on Aug 30,2012. Received/Priority date on NOA is Sept.4,2012. My earliest elig date is Sept 1,2012. They said its fine,they base it on Priority date not the date application was

Sent but im.crossing my fingers still.

Jackson,MS-it's a Satellite Field Office.I can't remember being interviewed in AOS. I know someone from Jackson who got interviewed in New Orleans.weird!

I got my packet delivered yesterday 09/04/2012.woot woot! Hope they won't look at my mailing date.I spoke to someone from

USCiS via phone and asked about my case.He said,they will look at the Date they actually received it.=)

Whew! Should have waited for Tuesday before mailing it bt packet is there now.

This sounds like a dumb question,but what do you mean by local office? Is that the one where we go for fingerprinting? (if thats the case then thats gonna be Jackson,MS)Or are you referring to district? By the way,I have no idea whih will be the district office i'll be since i'm midway between New Orleans,LA and Memphis,TN.

Uh-oh...but i hope it will be ok.The lady told me that it will arrive there between 3-5 business days. May arrive there Sept.1(Saturday) but i doubt that they will work on it too soon.you are right,I shouldve waited a couple of days, for it can cause high stress level thinking they might return it.yikes!
