I wonder is some of those who are still black have just not been back to report!!
Congrats to all those who have received or attended their oaths.

Still waiting here. Most of people you had interview on same day as us were from our hometown. Many of them had oath on May 21.

Ying passed the interview ! We arrived at 9:30 for a 10:05 interview, another couple we knew with a 9:25 interview were still waiting. It became clear they were running behind schedule. About 10:45 am, one of the interviewers came out and called Ying's name, it was a false start, she just wanted to let her know it would be another 40 minutes and we could go get a coffee or something. A nice touch, we saw her advise a few other folks. No other interviewers were doing the same, as other folks we talked to were just waiting, with no other info. About 90 minutes late the interview started and lasted about 35 minutes. Wanted to see Ying's birth certificate and kept the tax transcripts. The tax info was the same as sumitted with the N-400, but also included 2008. ?? I was the last one left in waiting area when she emerged. She was told would get the oath letter soon.

Congrats, You have jumped ahead in the interview schedule. We will be so happy whn this is over, it is a real pain to travel on a Chinese passport.

Interview Letter arrived Today! Monday April 6th At 2pm.

Also got my transcripts from my 2008 returns... so I really am ready for my interview! just studying the questions now!

Dual national Americans, particularly those with dual Chinese and American nationality, should realize that entering China using their non-U.S. passport could mean that the Chinese Government may not afford them the consular protections to which they are entitled. While the U.S. Government will offer consular services to all U.S. citizens regardless of dual nationality, use of other than a U.S. passport to enter China can make it difficult for U.S. Consuls to assist dual national Americans who have been arrested or who have other concerns with the Chinese Government.

China does not recognize dual citizenship. U.S. Embassy and Consulate officials are often denied access to arrested or detained Americans who do not enter China using their U.S. passport. Lawful Permanent Residents of the United States who do not carry unexpired or otherwise clear evidence that they may re-enter the United States will encounter delays departing from China. Lawful Permanent Residents should renew and update U.S. residence documentation prior to their departure from the United States.

As i know, China doesn't allow dual citizenship either. I am Chinese, going to to an american very soon. I would hate to get visa everytime i go back to China after i get my US citizenship.
Somebody talked about keep 2 passposts, just use whatever one on whichever country you are entering. My question is when you enter or leaving one country, you will get a stamp on your passport at the airport.

just say i go back to China,

1. leave with US passport, is the immigration officer in the US going to check if i have a Chinese visa before they let me on the airplane?

2. enter China with chinese passport, if the chinese immigration officer asked me about why i don't have a stamp on my chinese passport,what should i do? however,this probly can get away easily.

3.When i come back to USA, the chinese emmigration officer is going to make sure i have US visa before they let me go. if i leave with a Chinese passport without a US visa,they are not going to let me go. If i leave with a US passport, will have problem because there is no entering history or chinese visa on my US passport.

so, i know people can get away with it all the time. But it is so easy to get in trouble. Anybody have a better idea???

I think it would be pretty much impossible to travel between USA and China on two passports. I would not even want to try, given that the discovery of the problem would occur in China. You are correct that China does not recognize dual citizenship, the US state dept says the same. The Chinese embassy requires that new US citizens who used to be Chinese nationals submit their Chinese passport ( so they can void it) with your request for visa in your US passport

A few observations on your scenario, if you depart the USA on your passport, USA immigration is not involved, but the airline will check to see if you have a valid visa to enter China. So you need to assume that you leave the US and enter China on a Chinese passport. ( you won't have a Chinese visa in your US passport). As you noticed the problems start when you try to leave China. You cannot use the Chinese passport as you have no visa to enter the US. You cannot use the US passport as there is no record of your entry into China. It is more than the stamp, there is a computer record also. Thats why the passport is passed through the reader each time. There is no way to not get caught and I would hate to get caught up in the ensuing mess.

I think most of the previous discussions are based on countries that allow or tolerate dual citizenship and where both countries do not require visas.

Did anyone who had their application forwarded ever get a delivery confirmation from USPS? Or did you just know it had arrived because your check was cashed? My application was forwarded from Lincoln, NE 10 days ago and since then there have been no further tracking updates. USPS said they are willing to investigate why it has not been delivered but I didn't see the point in pursuing that if everyone is in the same boat.

Here is the latest status we have from USPS online tracking , submission was Piority Mail with Delivery Confirmation, the outside of envelope was clearly marked as N-400 Original Submission

Just got the email, card production was ordered today. Funny, it is exactly 2 years ago, to the day that AOS was approved. No interview also .

We sent my wife's I-751 petition to the Nebraska Service Center last week via Priority Mail with tracking. A few days later I checked the progress of the package and saw that it had been delivered to the NCS. This morning, while checking my bank account online, I observed that the $545 check had been paid. But...I noticed that the endorcement on the back of the check read "California Service Center." Does anyone know if all checks to the USCIS for I-751 processing go into the same account? Or was our case transfered to the CSC?

Your case was more in likely transferred to the California Service Center due to the back log at the Nebraska Office. You should be hearing soon about your biometrics and that notice will come from the California office too. Hopefully it moves quickly for you.

The NSC cases are being transferred to CSC. Don't worry, ours was transfered and we had biometrics one month after filing
