Yeah, I'm in Indy too.
I dunno they are particulary good or not but I go here.

If you live in North side, I would recommend here. They use Community North, which has 60+ nice matanity suits, pretty cool

I am scheduled to see the doctor on May 5th for the vaccinations that I need (HPV and TD booster) but the thing is, we just discovered yesterday that I am pregnant. Am I excuse to recieve those shots that I need? In case the doctor won't give me shots because I am pregnant, can I ask the doctor a document stating that I am pregnant which I can send to the USCIS together with the rest of AOS documents? Do I still need to transcribe my medical records eventhough my shots aren't complete?
BTW, my medical in the Philippines will expire on August.
Thanks in advance
so...you are in USA (indy) now right? then you have to go to see OB/GYN first to ask to write a letter to certify your pregnancy. civil surgeons don't do that, that's what I was told. Then civil surgeon can file the letter and also put a note on I-693 that you are excused due to pregnancy. at least, that worked for me.

I dunno it helps you or not but I sent I-693 without getting some shots and chest X-ray due to pregnancy with I-485, but at interview, I was just asked to re-send I-693 with chest X-ray. Not mentioned about those shots I was supposed to get.

Hi, I am also adjusting from F1. I was not sure about my status as well so I asked international student advisor and she said as soon as I receive NOA, technically my immigration status is AOS pending, so it is not required to maintain full-time student status. But many ppl on forum seem that they are adviced to keep maintain the F1 status just in case you have denied. I sent my package in the end of January and received NOA in the beginning of Feb. I just brought that NOA to international student office and they said I am fine now. I did not take any classes this Spring semester.
Try forum search. I think many ppl have discussed about this issue.

Congratz!! I am 36weeks pregnant now and I did medical exam when I was about 5 months pregnant. I had to do same thing as well.
If your wife has been vaccinated with all required vaccinations in Mexico, get the English translation of the record then show to the civil surgeon. He/she can write your wife's vaccine records on I-693.
If TB skin test was positive, yes, your wife still needs to take chest X-ray. But I'm sure you don't wanna risk the baby So, get a letter from her OB/GYN that certifies your wife is pregnant, and due date, so it is not recommended to get X-ray at that moment. Bring the letter to civil surgeon, then he/she can include the note that your wife is not recommended to take X-ray and needs to wait after baby is born to do it. In my case, the civil surgeon just wrote down the note on I-693 then attached OB/GYN's letter then sealed it and gave to me so I can go ahead apply for AOS.
If you have interview appointment before baby is born, you will be asked to send I-693 again with chest X-ray (again, if it's required by getting TB skin test positive). If your appointment is after, get the chest X-ray and ask civil surgeon to write I-693 again then bring that to the interview. At least, that's what I have to do...and that's what Immigration officer has explained to me
I suck at explaining...hopefully it makes sense. good luck!

1. I am adjusting from F1 as well but I sent all in same package and I think my case has been proceeded pretty fast.
2. I sent only the last year's, then brought this year's tax return to the interview, which was today.
3. I am not sure but I would send all of them. I was asked if I have stayed with other visa at the interview, and I had L2 visa before F1, so no papers for that visa now but just answered verbally.
hope this helps a bit.

uhh I just want to make sure something.
I was asked to submit family registry in Japanese, but which "koseki" paper is it?
I only submitted English birth certificate which was issued by consulate general of Japan for I-130, I-485, so asked to submit the originaly written in Japanese >.>

My hair on visa picture is almost blonde, now I got old and have dark brown hair with some highlights but no one ever questioned me about my hair color. On my old passport, I was wearing green color contacts but never had problems either. I wonder wether IO asked at immigration or something if I get face lift or do nose job .....lol

That was my plan but I dont think my baby will be born before my interview date. Our AOS interview is scheduled on Apr. 20th and my due is in May >.< Now I just hope I won't have contractions on the interview date cuz of the pressure! Hopefully I can use my big belly as evidence lol

I am not sure it depends on the location or simply you have nice solid record in US since you have been in US 9 yrs. In my case, the interview date is less than 3 months from when they received my package in Chicago. And I have been in US quite a long time now...over 10yrs, so I have SSN, bank account, etc. Well, I guess not so many ppl are applying from Indiana...

I believe you do. I cannot tell your situation just from your post, but yes you need to see certified physician to fill out the I-693.

An immigration officer has told me that F-1 visa is valid when it is with valid I-20, so I sent copy of I-20 as well.

My question has been asked in this and other threads but my wife and I are so worried and would really appreaciate an updated answer.
My wife arrived here December 2007 on a student visa and we married October 2008. We sent in her AOS paperwork in November and she has already had her biometrics appointment. Due to the high cost of international student tuition, we were hoping she wouldn't have to go to school this semester since she was in AOS mode. An immigration lawyer friend of ours told us that was fine. When my wife mentioned this to her academic advisor last December he told her that she was required to attend all 12 hours of school each semester until she received her green card. This week we are planning to talk to the director of the international student department. I'm planning on taking our all our NOAs, but not sure what else we should tell her. Can we try getting removed from SEVIS? What do we say if the school threatens to tell USCIS again or cancel her I-20? Other responses seemed to indicate my wife is no longer on an F-1 visa since our paperwork has been received by AOS.
Any help and advice on what to tell the school would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Daniel and Gertie
I was wondering same thing but some ppl say, keep F1 status, some ppl say no need to. So I checked with my international student advisor and she said once I received the NOA for AOS from USCIS, they will remove my F1 status. Did you guys ask her school's internatinal student department by now? I happen to receive my NOA today so I'm going to the internatinal student office now to change my status. Hopefully your school will do same to you too. Gl.

I'm glad to find many other ppl are actually doing same (AOS from F1)!
I haven't read all posts for sure yet but I have found lots of helpful info here and sent out my package last week.
Now I need to wait a long time, I guess ^^;;
By the way, does anyone of you got married from F1 cuz of pregnancy? >.<
I haven't found anyone yet so far or maybe my search technique sucks lol
I am just worrying that USCIS might think its visa fraud since we got married after 3 months I came back to school.
anywayz, thank you for the all good info!

Hi, i decided to publish this topic,
as a way for others to share their expereince in this journey.
I came here as b1/b2 and overstayed.
When i was in highschool, i met who is now my husband.
Because of money issues, we just sent our package couple days ago..
I have submitted the I-130 package, concurrently with I-485, I-765, Medical exams and supporting documents to USCIS Chigago.
and now the waiting time starts...
Of course we all would like to get an immediate response from USCIS about our case,
but for some people take longer than others, (depending the office the package was sent to)
And as i was reading this forum, there are many cases like mine, or similar who have gone trough the same process.
So, i was to the people who has gone through this process to share their experience with us.
I'll be posting updates on my case, for others to see, and help (if there is something i can help with)
and make this process less stressing.
Hi ^^ I sent my package in January too!
Im worrying about USCIS might think of visa fraud since I'm staying in USA with F1 visa and dropped this semester due to baby delivery
well I'm sure everyone has something to worry about..and thats why we are here.
good luck to both of us!

I'm in North too. Maybe we are close well, that's depends on which doctor you went. The civil surgeon I went to emphasized the letter has to be written by OB/GYN. So if you just went to a nornal physician, they may not accept that document as proof of your pregnancy. I don't think you need ultrasound, they are just looking for the evidence from specialist. Anywayz, congratz!!
