  1. yes she is right.ako man sticker na lng.ngattend ako seminar dun 2 years ago na wala naman expiration date un db?

    Hi,

Just want to ask what the requirements for the CFO are? Ano po ba yung sticker na sinasabi nyo?

I'm waiting for my visa too...maybe within the day, hopefully. I just got approved last March 5.

Congrats to all and Good Luck. Godspeed!

  2. Your fiance should contact his senator or congressman about this right now. He shoulld tell them the story just as you have said it here. This is the sort of thing you want to get outside help with right away.

Really? This sounds really serious then. :( Do you think what happened today may affect our application? I'll inform my fiance about this, though I hope I can go on with the interview and prove them wrong. Thanks for your advice.

You should be fine, As you told the truth.

That is the one thing that pisses me off about the Philippines, Is people in authority try to push people around, especially woman.

In USA we would of told the doctor to "Get Fu@ked" and stick his evalutiion up his A$$.

That is one reason I went to the Interview and CFO with my fiance, I was waiting for someone to pull this type Power Trip on my Fiance, but lucky we didn't encounter it.

Just play thier game, and tell them it was only a scar from a accident, and stick to your story.....

    Hi Tallcoolone!

Thank you for taking time to respond to my concerns. I appreciate your support. :-) I am really stressed right now. I should wait til Thursday to know if I passed or failed. My daughter's gonna miss more than a week in class because of this. I don't know if basing on that freakin psych evaluation, I can be denied of a Visa. I don't think they're in the position though. Before going through all the burden of this issue they should've arranged and included PSYCHIATRIC EVALUATION in the requirements for petition and not NOW when time, effort and lotsa emotions have been invested. I feel sad not just for me, but more so for my fiance and daughter. Maybe if my fiance were with me, I wouldn't have been scrutinized like a street puppy! Maybe he studied his profession, sure...that is why he had the right to interrogate me that way but calling me a liar because he thinks I had stitches done is really off! He should study further.

  3. Sheesh!

I have many scars which are all very visible from different kind of accidents. First, I have one in my forehead which I got when I was like 6 years old when my brother pushed me, and I banged my head in our wood furniture. Then, I have long scar in my foot which I got when I was like 9 years old when a bottle of coca-cola fell down from the fridge, then cut my left foot. Then, I have in my left foot again, long one, because of my operation when I got accident last December. I wonder if they will undergo me that kind of test because i got so much painful accidents, they might think I have suicidal attempt. Just thinking, because you got scar in the arms because of helping which is obviously an accident.

From my experience, the physician will ask you where you go those scars. I think it varies. They oly look for suspicious looking scars. If she asks you, just tell the truth. If you're going to undergo a psychiatric evaluation, so be it. I think the only thing they want to prove is that you are not going to harm yourself or anybody. I just hate it that they are so rude, esp the psychiatrists. Just because they study that profession doesn't give them the license to scrutinize people esp making you appear you lied when you are telling the truth.

  5. Hi VJ Members!

I just wanna share what happened to me last week and today at St. Luke's. We went to SLMEC Wednesay, Feb. 18 at 11:30 am. We went through everything that were to be done on the first day. We were told to come back by Friday at 1pm for the results since I have a child and they need to observe the skin test done on her. When we came back last Friday, I was called to approach counter G and was told to fill up a 3-page form which was all about Psychiatric Evaluation. The girl who attended to me said that it was sort of an SOP to those who have scars on their wrists or arms. The physician who did my physical exams asked me how I got my scars and I told her it was a slash from a knife when I was help up 10yrs ago. I didn't really think it would such a big deal since what was more important to me was to pass the "medical exams" so it didn't occur to me that I would have this uch trouble because of my scars. I was really upset about that but I was more relieved coz my daughter and I are safe healthwise.

We waited for my daughter's name to be called...for her xray and supposed vaccination. But we were told to come back Monday.

Anyway, I came back this afternoon at 1pm for my Psychiatric Evaluation sched and my daughter's vaccination at 2pm. When my name was called after like an hour, I was asked to proceed to the 6th floor where the Psychiatrist's office was. I told him my story but apparently he didn't believe me and he even insinuated that I had stitches done on my wrist which I have not. I have keloid which would make the scar even more prominent and protruding. he asked who treated me, I told him it was my sister... He meant who did the stitches! There were no stictches done at all! he can check all the hospitals for any record and he would see none! He insulted me and told me I am inconsistent. He said he studied this profession and still is studying, then how come he can't tell a stitched scar from the opposite?! I asked him why he thought i'm what he thinks I am and he got even more upset. I was really dumbfounded. I told him please don't make this as a ground for visa denial..I got so nervous. I was like a child being interrogated. I just shut up and asked if I should go...then he answered "you may leave".

I'm really scared. I felt like the world just crushed on my shoulders. But we went through with my daughter's vaccinations anyway. She was released and they took her passport. I dunno if I should assume we can go on with the interview because they got her passport assuming my daughter can't of course go to the embassy for interview without me. I was told earlier that I have to call St. Luke's for my results in 2-3 days from today for my results, and that's when I'd know if my interview is still pushing through on March 5 which is next week. Gosh! Why are they making it so hard? I cancelled our trips without refund from PAL because we got a non-rebookable ticket. My daughter missed her classes for 3 days and now we have to stay a little longer til I'm through with this horrible experience! Time, money, emotions and physical efforts are wasted for a journey i'm not sure I will ever succeed. It's frustrating and stressful.

Fellow VJ Members, Do you think just because the psychiatrist didn't believe me, it would be a ground for visa denial? I'm really worried and sad for all my loved ones...my daughter and my fiance. :( I'd appreciate an insight about thi from those who have experienced the same situation. Thanks. More power to us!

sigh :( everyone is leaving here, its sad, by the time i eventually get my noa2 no one will be left here and who will congratulate us
  9. Thanks for the info ha...I'll try to ask him if he can expedite his IRS. I don't know why he's hesitant about his 2007 tax returns. So it's fine if financial docs are scanned? that's cool..it'll save us time if that is so. Did your fiance just forwarded to you all his financial docs without any hesitations? :ot2:

From my experience it should be OK.. I only submitted 2007 Tax document since my fiance doesn't have 2008 yet (I believe they can have it by April). I only even have a scanned (recent) financial documents (I-134 form, pay stubs, & bank statement), e-mailed and print it here because we didn't have enough time if we have it mailed considering we move our interview earlier than scheduled. I wasn't questioned about it, passed the interview easily, I just don't know if that was a cause that it took so long for my visa to get to me though...

Just make sure you have copies of your fiance's recent financial documents to prove he's financially able I guess ;)

Hi to all VJ members! :help: I hope you can help me with our concerns re Affidavit of Support requirements. What financial documents that can support the affidavit are you going to submit to the embassy? Is the 2008 W-2 good enough? I want to be sure if this is fine. My fiance just received his W-2 last weekend and he's still going to apply for his tax return since we're in the beginning of the year. It may take awhile before his IRS can be produced and we don't want to delay my interview which could have been this month had it not been for the Affidavit of Support. I really hope you can share with us whatever financial doc is okay based on your experience. :-)

Thanks and Godspeed to us all... ;-)

  11. Congratulations! I'm glad that a lot of those who are in the same timeline as me have been approved. We're kinda in the same timeline and I wish I get this over and done with. The problem with my application is that we still don't have the IRS for 2008. My fiance just got his W-2 last weekend. I wonder what supporting doc you gave for your affidavit of support? He doesn't want to give his 2007 tax returns since that wasn't what he's used to getting and he said there's a big difference between his 2007 and 2008. Do you think his most recent 2008 W-2 will do? I hope you can help me. :help:

    Thank you.

    Godspeed!

Hi! Congratulations on your approval! :star: Our petition was filed about the same time as yours. I just received a letter from the US embassy last January 15, 2009 that I am now legible to schedule for an interview. Did you receive a packet? Coz I didn't. I'm still waiting for my fiance to fill up and send the affidavit of support. I haven't called for scheduling yet because of this. Should I call them and schedule my interview a month from now? or should I just wait for the Affidavit of Support to get to me?

And having received such letter from US embassy, does this mean that my interview is right around the corner? No more months of waiting? How about the medical exams? Are they the one that's going to schedule us as to when we should go for our medical? When we call to schedule our interview at the embassy, is there anything else we should wait for them to mail us? Isn't the letter from the embassy telling us that we are legible for interview also the appointment letter or they are going to mail to us an appointment letter when we have already scheduled?

I apologize for so many questions. I hope you don't mind at all. I'm just really clueless about the whole thing. :innocent:

I hope to get a response from you. God bless us all.

  15. :dance::dance: congratulations!! :dance::dance:

Hi! I'm new here..I've been searching for days for answers to my questions.

I received a letter from the embassy that I am now legible for an interview and that I can call the call center to schedule. I didn't receive any packet 3, just that letter from US embassy, though I heard for some, they didn't receive any packet as well. In my case, i'm just going to download the forms online. Maybe because we filed the petition ourselves and not through an agency.

I am still awaiting for my fiance to file the affidavit of support coz his tax return should be current and such should have been in the mail January 31st. I didn't call for scheduling because of this and this leaves me wondering on when I should call for my interview. Is it best to wait till I get hold of the affidavit of support before calling? or Is it okay to call now and schedule ahead, say a month from now for an interview? If you can help me on this matter, please do respond to this. I'd truly appreciate good info on this.

Thank you very much and Godspeed to us all!
