  4. If the sponsor income is sufficient that is all you need for the I-134.

THE INCOME IS MORE THAN ENOUGH , BUT DO I NEED A BANK LETTER ,SINCE THE INCOME IS 93000 $ PER YEAR WITH NO DEPENDANT I KNOW I DONT NEED BUT I WANT TO ADD INVESTMENT , CAN I HANDWRITE IT ?

If the income is sufficient, you do not need assets or bank statement(s).

If you do want to submit investments (yes, you can hand write it), you'll need to also submit proof of said investments (certificate numbers, copies, etc). You can not just simply state what it is...

i know i need a proof , i have a document from the investment company stating the amount of the investment the income is 77,000 $ a year , with no dependents i know it is enough but he has also an investment of 266,000 $ so i want to add it , thanks for the answers

    Dear Sir or Madam,

Other than the I-134 and my documentation for that form, is there anything else that you need of my documents (the Petitioner) to be provided at the Interview? I see nothing in the I-129F instructions, or in the instructions that were sent in the packet to my fiancee that says to provide or bring a complete copy of all the documents submitted at that time, however rumor has it that you need these. I hesitate to mail original documents such as my passport, birth certificate, and other sensitive documents overseas.

Please let me know if any of my documents as the petitioner are required at the time of the interview. I assume since my I 129F was approved that my portion of the process is complete. (OTHER THAN: the I134 and supporting financial documentation.)

    Please advise.

    K and H

    Dear Madam:

Thank you for your e-mail message.

Please be informed that you do not need to mail any of your personal documents to us as it is not requested. Please review the checklist that was mailed to your spouse with the packet of instructions to review the documents that are requested for the interview.

    Regards,

    Consular staff

    ni

We only sent originals of the I-134. The tax returns were obviously copies! However since I am self-employed I didn't need to file any other documents, and made more than enough $ and didn't need to send bank statements, etc. either.

I marked each document we sent with our case number and also put that it was a true copy and an original document was available upon request. I sent a 2nd I-134 signed and notarized for H to keep with him in case they lost the one he sent with Packet #3. I believe he sent the original of the police report, but I could be mistaken. And he did not send his passport, just copies of all pages that had anything on them.

I was given a lot of advice on this site to send originals of everything and am glad that was totally unnecessary.

I found emailing them much better than calling. If you have instructions from them in an email it's something you can show them if there is a problem later.

thats right , you are the best , this is exactly what i was thinking and totally makes sense

i already emailed them i hope they email back tomorrow, God bless you

  8. man i guess you should ask the embassy about anything you want to ask for as well and don't depend on any others expierence because i guess each case has it's own circumstances and my thoughts to you is DON'T be panic or shy to ask them and i guess you can call everyday ...they have taken alot of money for that and their job is to help and to serve people :) and as long as they asked you to send the originals then there's no exist for you to say i guess they will need it or not ...do as they ask if you want this whole issue to be worked out ;)

what affadavit of support did they ask for ?? I-134 or I-864 ?? or both ??

best of luck and we are waiting you to tell us how was your interview :)

haha, you didn't deal with them before , Egyptian staff working for the embassy basically know nothing , i called them and they said originals while the pckage says copies ,

they are literarly ignorant and useless . thanks for the help pray for me and i will let you know the updates ,

I134 is the one for k3

  9. Yes that is crazy I sent in Copies of my tax returns but we were K-1. I used Turbo Tax and just printed out extra copies for them....maybe they considered that originals. But anyway however you look at it they were not in color like the original tax forms are.

i guess i will send in originals and ask IRS to send more 2005,2006,2007 and i will keep a copy from 2008

  10. They didn't ask us for original tax returns...my lawyer just made copies and that is what we sent. Since we have not had our interview yet, I guess we won't know if it's accepted or not. But they did require originals for the marriage and divorce decrees. Are you sure they need original tax returns???

i guess they dont need original tax papers ,because simply there is not originals and since they didnt send back your package 3 , so your papers are accepted

  11. We were a K-1. 0ur case was a bit different as Iam retired, so I just sent in the original transcripts that stated I was exempt from filing any income tax at that time. 0bviously, they accepted that. Perhaps someone will have a more definite answer for you who is doing a K-3.

thanks alot i hope somebody who did k3 will be helping soon ,

my joint sposnor is retired too , so should i send transcripts original ones?

  12. Why not contact IRS and have them send you transcripts? There is no charge for this.

i guess i will but what about 2008 ,they are not ready in IRS now , i have already got the 2005,2006,2007 from IRS but my joint sponsor just got his tax filled for 2008 , do you think a copy will be fine , they will never ask for originals again , but anyway i will get 2005,2006,2007 and a copy from 2008 and a copy from the bank paper ,

what did you do why you applied?

  13. my wife is a student , she used to work part time Jobs , she made 6000 $ last year , she didnt file taxes , does she write student in 134 or un employed , i guess better to write zero income for her or what

Better to tell the truth - list income and can write a letter explaining why she didn't file taxes (but include any supporting documents). I presume there is a co-sponsor helping out...

yes but she doesnt have any proof of income ? and the joint sponsor makes more than enough 93000 $
