  1. Today we had the Biometrics done.. It was fast and easy. Brought my step-son since he was on his dads form as they arrived together to the USA.We also included the biometrics for him with the application. We never received a Bio appt for my step-son, Only my Husband. The people at Biometrics said they usually dont call the children under 14 yrs the second time but they will call him maybe in a coupe years. Said it wasnt unusual. They also said you always have to pay the BIO fee for him even if they dont call him.

Anyway, glad to say the BIO is done......now awaiting the next step!!

    Good Luck and Congrats everyone!!

I dont get on here much , but trying to update .

    CIAOOOOOOOOOOOO :star::star::star:

  2. NOA letter BIOMETRICS received today!!!! notice dated 07/03/12

    appointment 07/18/12

Funny thing, only the Biometrics for my Husband (with his name only) arrived/ not for his son.

I remember the time before they both got notices.

Maybe it will come tommorow............I hope so!!

Does the petitioner have to go to the appointment with him or can he take anyone to help fill out forms? :help:

  3. hi guys im filling this 21 of june, that is the first day of my 90 days period, but should i send it before the 21st? so they will receive it by 21st?? and if im with my daughter to came here at the same time its just 1 fee right?? she's only 3 and we came here at the same time and we got our GC at the same time too.. i called the uscis customer service but told me that i have to pay $590 each of us, then i post a forum here some comments told me that if i came here at the same time as my daughter then she will be in my I-751 and just 1 fee but she have to pay the biometrics... is this right??? i just want to make sure...

and do i really need a affidavit letter from my friends when i came here for proof??? thanks in advance :)

when I called , they told me one filing fee 505.00 plus 85.00 for my husband plus 85.00 for son of 10 yrs which will be included on his form. they arrived at same time......Ive seen posts about both paying the 505.00 fee but I dont think its correct. Now , you have me wondering.dont want them to send it back :crying: for wrong fee

  4. You should file within in the 90-day period before your greencard expires.

Your packet should be sent to arrive in the USCIS office in advance of your expiration date. So, you don't want to think it's good enough to just get it in the post the day before it expires.

Otherwise, you have to supply a letter outlining the reason you are late to the USCIS with your packet. Don't put yourself through having to do that. :)

    Thank youuuuuuuuuu

  5. Hey There!!

This is kjmel, i have a question for you?? What if??? Visa Approved at the same time, but came here at a different times??? it happens ,that time i lived in Hong Kong & my Son was lived on the Philippines??? do i need to pay 2x of $590.00???

Thanks in advance, now preferring to all documents needed for ROC.

think I saw something about if he arrived within 90 days after you, then you can file together, but not sure.

  6. Alright guys...time to get this party started! I am super excited that our immigration journey will be O-V-E-R in about a year and 3 months! (depending on processing for citizenship, of course :) ) that is, at least until or unless we move back to the UK.

I spent yesterday and today tracking down and printing off all the evidence I'm planning to use...how is everyone else's coming along? Unfortunately our lease is up in December and we're not sure if we're going to stay. I'm thinking about getting a PO Box because from the processing times at the VSC, it doesn't look like we'll get the card within 6 months. And I don't really know if I can trust USCIS not to send the green card to the correct address even if we send them a new one. I just foresee myself paying another $500 to USCIS for a card that David will only use for a couple of months :bonk:

Here's what I got (fairly final):

    • Copy of the green card of David

    • Copy of joing tax transcripts from 2010 and 2011

    • Copy of our joint checking account statements every 3 months (first page)

    • Copy of our joint credit card account statements every 3 months (first page)

    • Copy of our joint savings account statement from 09/2010 and 04/2012 (first page)

    • Copy of Term Life Insurance for David with Justine listed as beneficiary

    • Copy of medical & dental benefits from Justine’s employer with David listed on the plan

    • Copy of Justine’s life insurance through her employer with David listed as primary beneficiary

    • Copy of Justine’s 403(b) account through her employer with David listed as primary beneficiary

    • Copy of our driver licenses with our current address listed

    • Copy of our current lease that we signed together (first page)

    • Copy of our health insurance card listing both our names

    • Copy of our joint car loan (first page)

    • Copy of our car insurance policy (first page)

    • Copy of various wall posts made to each other on facebook

    • Copy of various pictures of us as a couple together

What do you think? Anyone else sending more/less than this?

Looks good!! I actually havent started yet, got to get the ball rolling now, have to send it in as soon as the 90 day time window starts which is June..dreading starting the waiting game again. Although, can not be worst than when we did the K1 app. thank GOD!!
