  1. I got mine through DHL

Hi, i just had a quick question to ask. Once the USEM has received our case from NVC, what mailing method does USEM send the confirmation letter to the beneficiary? in other words, via regular mail, priority mail or registered mail? thanks in advance for any input.

Oh you did? do you mind me asking how long ago was that? if it is thru dhl, then someone would have to be at address that my fiance had given, right? no one is at home during the day so that is why i ask about method of delivery with USEM. i don't want something getting lost or any mess up etc.

If u can wait USEM mail, it takes time to arrive...if u cant wait the mail, call USEM to set an interview and they will send appointment letter to both of you. My fiance called after a day we learned that our papers were alreadt at USEM and he was able to set my interview date...I received nothing from USEM (except email) even a day before or after my interview...if u call USEM, prepare your case number bcoz it will be asked and her email add or both. GOOD LUCK.

  2. Hello. I still disagree of what u said on this forum. Its maybe the NVC sets the interview date, but its the USEM still has the power to send appointment letter and not NVC. I noticed in your signature that after consulate received your case, it was the time only that you had your interview date which will be on March 25. Its only very clear that USEM sets and send interview letter. Actually, I was confused on your post, I guess, you have to review and ask if who really send appointment letter...if its NVC or USEM...if its NVC, then...thank you and if USEM, the you are a liar. If you are correct then il believe you, but if not...then I may say that someone like you entered in this furom with lack of knowledge about visa. Good Luck on your wife interview.

It is interesting to see how you are bent on providing incorrect information to people. Stop being an expert on CR1/IR1 when in fact you are following the K1 track. At most embassies NVC schedules and directly sends the interview letters for all CR1/IR1 cases to both the beneficiary and the petitioner.

Oh...benting incorrect information to people? I never said im expert on CR1 man :innocent: pls go over with my post if theres a word saying im expert to CR1. And why you so defensive Mr. noname? As what ive said in my previous post, if u were telling a lie, then thank you...it means to say that you are not LIAR :innocent: Only defensive man...k?

  3. Yes, you are correct that USEM sets the interview dates, but that is ONLY for K1 Visas. What they were discussing in this thread is for CR1/IR1 VISAS, which NVC sets the interview dates for...pls be consistent of your post bcoz we are here to help others and not to make them more confuse.

WOW! AFTER 3 YRS without visiting her and only petitioned her last year? You still remember your wife face  ?

Yes, it has been 3 years since I have seen her in person, the hows and whys really being none of your business. But I remember everything about my wife's face and the rest of her too. I spent 8 months with her. So I know her very well.

Of course its none of my business bcoz fisrt and foremost I dont even know you...well, you answered my question already why it took for you to petition your wife after almost 4 yrs, its bcoz u stayed here for 8 months  good luck.

  4. There was really no need to get nasty in your post. You were wrong and you were called on it. Attacking me doesn't save face for you. I wasn't being anymore sarcastic with my post than you were with yours. The only difference was, I gave the correct information, whereas you were wrong. I choose not to be nasty on here, and will be civil towards you, and wish you luck with your visa.

  6. CORRECTION ON THIS; THE NVC WILL send the LETTER not the USEM

Embassy will send appointment letter and not NVC. If your case already at USEM, u can call and set an interview date. They will ask your email add, you can give both P and B email add and after an hour you will both receive a notification letter about interviw date and you can take this to your medical and interview. On medical day, NOA2 and NVC letter are also accepted, but interview date is a letter from Embassy. Hope it helps.

  7. Hello,

I have a niece also she's 4 years old now and really wanted to bring her over in U.S. to be with me and my husband said yes to my plan but it's a very, very complicated thing to do I found out since she is my relative and not an orphan. You need to show that they lived with you in your home and prove that you provided full support for those children for at least 2 years when you were still there in Philippines You need to hire a very good lawyer if you really wanna pursue it.You must adopt them in Philippines,in the Philippine court system and how old are they? The adoption must be 100% complete before they turn 16.

Good luck to you.I know how it feels my niece calls me mama I'm the one who took care of her whe was hust a baby until I left for the US :crying: missed her so much.

It was on 2003 when real mother found a new one, left the house without any single word, abandoned my nieces whos ages that time were 3 and 1...after a year, my brother found new one also, got married and now they have one daughter(now in Manila) and the two kids stayed with me (Samar) after that...took care of them, they call me mommy since they were still young and real mother was NANNA and father DADDA. When I got married and decided to be with my husband now, it was the hardest decision I made ever...so many explanations, crying days...I came to the point that I dont wanna leave them and wanted to continue teacing in the Phil and invite my husband to joined me there...but his work is here, his life and property are here, so, I need to choose between family and him...I chose him even it broke my heart knowing that Il not see my neices every time as i wanted to be...so painful but it made me realize also that this is God's plan for me, I chose my husband so I can support them also as I like to give to them the best of everything(I cant give them everything with my $300 salary monthly less deductions when I was still in PI teaching). As a kid, they are so happy if they have new dolls, new dresses, chatting, i call them sometimes during class hours and weekends, they always asking me if when im gonna go home...I said on their graduation day (4 year from now hehe) eldest is grade 2 and grade one is youngest....but i made a promise that il go to Phil to visit them on Sept (feast day in Samar)

Il arrange everything esp the adoption...hope i can make it before they turn to 16...cant invite them also for a visit as US policy is very strict, you can invite only real kids, mother and sisters...thanks for the suggestions and idea, it really helps...now im relieved and am start imagining that one day, il bring them over here. GOOD LUCK TO ALL.

  8. I miss my life in PI...going to school at 7am riding on a motorbike, going home at 11 and go back at 1pm-4:30pm...(sigh) scolding my pupils if ever arrived to school with dirty sorroundings :) chatting with my co-teachers during break time...(tsismisan) waiting for salary time  and most, I terribly miss my neices who were with me since the real mother abandoned them and my brother remarried and the two kids are now with grandma who is already 63yo...il not see them growing up, sleep with me, prepare their breakfast and give them baon in the morning, roaming around the village...wish i could adopt them but i dont know where to start and how much would it costs? I googled but could not find the link on how to adopt my neices...pls help and if anyone has an adopted kids here, pls share if what is the process and if possible for me to bring them over here in US. Any idea, suggestions are very much appreciated. Thanks and Good Luck to all VJ Members.
