Yeah, I sent my package June 1st, they received it on the 4th, and still no NOA1.

Hi again our check was cashed this morning took two weeks for us! Thank you for adding me to the chart!

Hi there, we are in the same situation, we sent ours on June 2nd and was received on June 4th by D Renaud, we are waiting for the NOA1 and move on from there. There are still people out there waiting as well.

Hi everyone

We sent our I 751 packet 1st of June and it was received the following day ( Vermont) getting concerned though as I have had no response from Vermont that they have received it also my cheque hasn't been cashed? Anyone else in similar position? Thanks in advance for your reply.

I rang Continental Airlines and they told me it was because they put more restrictions on the round trip?? Ok... guess it kinda makes sense lol! Gonna get a return nearly $300 dollars cheaper. Thanks for your reply tho... glad it wasnt just me that couldnt understand it!!!

Hey October people, Hope you are all well! Does anyone know why it's cheaper to buy a return ticket rather than a one way?? I can't see any logical reason at all??? Your answers will be appreciated? M x

First of all HELLO everyone !!!!

It's been a super long time since I last posted on here, however I have had a quick read over everyone's posts and everyone seems happy and moving swiftly along to the finishing line, which is great to see!!!

I am glad to say that Mike and I had our Visa approved. Mike came over for a weeks visit recently, and coincidence should have it that My visa interview and medical were scheduled for the day after he arrived in London; therefore he got to come with me!!! I must say it was a lot of waiting around, and the interview itself was such an anticlimax!!! I really thought I was going to be taken into a room and interigated lol!! Glad to say not the case ... up to a window where the consular took my fingerprints had a laugh and joke with Mike and I and told us what to expect when I get to the US!!! He mentioned it's bit of a prison sentence until I get my AOS etc.... Anyway everything going smoothly fingers crossed, hoping to fly to Houston on the 9th of Sept to be with my better half!!!

Well done you!!! What a relief that must be for you!! I am just waiting on police certificate from Cyprus so I can get packet three sent off... how long did it take you to get your interview after yours was sent? And did you have your medical same day as interview or beforehand??? Not sure which is the cheapest/best way to go about that? Your advise would be appreciated. M x

Hey, yeah it is a relief! Its taken 7 months from the first NOA. I had my 2nd NOA mid Feb but didnt send what I needed until the end of March as I was in the US. Then I didnt send all the correct forms. I did a few days later and felt very lucky to get a 1st May interview. Before I got the interview I booked my medical, which turned out to be a week beore th interview. I live in Reading so its pretty easy getting to London within 25mins. I do feel for those who have to travel a long way to get to london. Its not cheap doing what you need for the visa and was happy that I didnt need to pay for hotels etc.

When I booked the medical, the next one they could give me was in two weeks. So I dont know how easy/ hard it is to get the interview and medical on the same day. The two places are not very far apart at all so it does make sense. The only hing I would say is that the medical place sends your results to the embassy within a few days. I dont think this matters too much as the embassy will just simply hold off sending the visa for those over lapping days.

Cheers Thanks for that. Hmmm I am not sure how to go about the medical really... probably best to have it done beforehand just to be safe. That appears to be the new way of doing the packet three. You following the link and it will tell you what to do. lol So yes, that is your packet three.

All is well here...packet 3 is at the consulate and I'll be waiting for my interview. Seems that things are picking up so we're planning a mid-August move, July interview! The forms for me were weird to fill out because of the kids...anyone else with dual citizen children??

Hey everyone just popping in to say hello...life has become considerably hectic for me after finding out we had our approval from Vermont roughly 2 1/2 weeks ago...been busy sending off police certificates to Germany, Cyprus and UK of course...Good job we are in no rush for the interview cause Cyprus have told me it will take 2 months for the return of my police certificate...good grief...apparentley it takes a month for the payment to clear, whatever???? Hoping to get a july interview and move end of, beginning of August.

Whilst I am here can I just ask a quick question? All I have heard about is people receiving packets ie pack 3. I never received a pack , so to speak... just a letter telling me to go to a website that had all the forms to fill out, docs I will need to get, and information about booking a medical??? Has this happened to anyone else? M x

He's so cute learning and practicing a little bit of english. Last night at the restaurant after asking me if it was right he said "Excuse me sir, the check please." I'm so proud of him for practicing so soon! When I was so "young" in learning Spanish I was too nervous to use it with native speakers!

Congrats!!! I am about to take Balvino to his ESL class. I told him last night he needs to talk more. That is great Josue is jumping in with two feet. Balvino is doing well it takes time. I am so glad that I will have a buddy with the AOS process. I have put it on hold until I get back from NYC plus the wedding has taken over my brain at the moment.

The since my fiance aply for my k1 visa ,Oct 27 2008.We got a touch so many time. After we got the RFE we had touch on march 03,04,05,06,and nothing happen,any approval at all . Just said your case is processing and resumed . From this time, today become 50 days ,after we got the RFE...So, my fiance sent the letter to VSC on april, 17 ,2009 and Him went to talk to congressman in Maryland,Rockville on manday 20, thats means yesterday. She said to him. I'll contact USCIS to know whats happenig in your case and don't to worry . I'll help you....so we got touched, April 19 and 20,2009. Well I rang the NVC today and was told that our petition was approved on the 7th of April, the NVC received it on the 9th and sent it to the Embassy in London on the 13th!!!! Gave the American Embassy in London a call and they said that yes they had received it and I should be hearing from them any day now!!!! Wow only last week Mike rang the USCIS to be told they were working on Sept the 23rds petitions and that he needed to be patient Seeing as we never received a email, update on the website or hardcopy NOA2 the NVC were able to gve me the date we were approved so I have just updated my timeline. What a difference a day makes people!!!! Hope you are all well M x

What a relief! Won't be long now!! Our packet 3 was lost in the mail, so we just put it all together and sent it in. We tried emailing Montreal (they don't accept phone calls) and they replied with "click here' to some obscure page on the state department website. We emailed two more times and no reply. Please resend packet 3, etc... no reply so, we did it ourselves, sent it in, scheduled the medical (yes, you can), and both mailed and faxed a copy. I called the state dept. to confirm this was acceptable. the lady seemed pretty surprised that we were able to pull it all together. Goooo VJ

Ok I kinda get wot you mean. So you received the notification from NVC saying they're forwarding your petiton to London Embassy BUT you haven't received notification that you've been approved?

Hmm, that's a new one! Call USCIS & see what they say. Maybe you'll get your NA02 hard copy in the mail soon.

I've heard of this happening to others on this website. I'm not sure what the result was - whether they got the NOA2 much later, or never?

Does one actually need the NOA2 document for anything?

Yep, monkeyjuice that is what has happened no email notification, no update on the USCIS website, and no hardcopy!! And sara you are right you do need it for the AOS, I have heard that aswell. Sara how are you doing? I think about you everyday on this journey, your story is unbelievable!! I just wish I could help in some way! M x

Ok here's the deal, Mike called me last night and told me that there was a letter from immigration at his mum and dads, which is strange because he changed his address with USCIS back in Oct...21st to be precise to his/our new apt, this change of address is also confirmed when we call the USCIS by Mike completing security, and also on the USCIS website it shows the last touch being the 21st of Oct which is the date he called to change the address; therfore they must have the correct address????? Anyway, when he gets to his dads and reads the letter its a letter from the NVC stating they are sending our stuff to the American Embassy in London and to expect packet 3 soon???? Wonderful/#######/HUH??? where the Hell is our NOA2 ????? Ok peeps this is where I need your wonderful help???? I am now really concerned that 1. we havent got the NOA2 and this may sound stupid but will I need this for the interview 2. With the NOA2 don't they send all the original docs back to Mike ie..... petition evidence etc..... I am over the moon , however worried now as to whats happened to our stuff???? Can anyone advise me as to what we should have expected???

Sorry guys if this doesnt make to much sense I have had about 4 hours sleep and in a rush to get out to take my car for it's MOT anyway what it all boils down to is when Mike called and said we had been approved and that he had received the letter of approval I assumed it was the NOA2 ......but it's not it's the letter from the NVC saying it's on its way to London!!!!!!

What Laura says is correct. Just make sure you make copies of things like birth certificates or two originals. Look over the items you will need for AOS it will seem daunting but will help in the long run.

Regarding the NOA2 I am in the same boat. I did receive an email telling me it was approved and my status changed on the site but I never got the hard copy of the NOA2. I called USCIS and they told me to wait at least 30 days and then to call again. I have been so busy with the wedding that I have not called back...which is always so frustrating any how. I have the same letter you have but no NOA2. I have looked on VJ for people with the same problem and there are quite a few. Some people stated that they are sending in a print out of the email and a copy of the NVC letter instead of the NOA2. This seems very ghetto to me but a replacement for the NOA2 is $340....Ouch!

The strange thing about my situation is our petition was approved on a Sunday March 1st so I am thinking someone forgot to do the paperwork once they got back to the office on Monday. Just a theory but USCIS will never admit to a mistake. I can hear them already, 'Sorry but it says the approval was sent out'. BTW: My address never changed. I will keep you posted. I know Laura got her NOA2 after a bit of a wait so maybe it will take a few weeks. Congrats on the approval!!

Thank you Laura and Winifredbee Really informative information from both of you thanks again I havent had much sleep last night so I am a bit foggy today, however have been having a look at the guides and flowcharts etc... to try and get my head round whats needed during the next phase, it just really concerns me that we have no proof of the NOA2 as we didnt even receive a email or update on the website??? Like I say I am a bit foggy today... it's been pretty emotional over the past 24 hours... and it's still early days, the noa2 may turn up still like you say Winifredbee Thanks guy's once again for your support I am just so happy that we are out of the hole!!! Ok here's the deal, Mike called me last night and told me that there was a letter from immigration at his mum and dads, which is strange because he changed his address with USCIS back in Oct...21st to be precise to his/our new apt, this change of address is also confirmed when we call the USCIS by Mike completing security, and also on the USCIS website it shows the last touch being the 21st of Oct which is the date he called to change the address; therfore they must have the correct address????? Anyway, when he gets to his dads and reads the letter its a letter from the NVC stating they are sending our stuff to the American Embassy in London and to expect packet 3 soon???? Lol you're funny! Well first of all congrats..That letter is your NA02 or notice of approval! Woo hoo

Your petition & all original docs will be sent to NVC & then they will send it to London Embassy. The embassy will send your packet 3 out to you.

I think you should take a look at the UK forum on here. There are threads on there that will give you all the information you need to know.

Don't panic..& CELEBRATE!!

No disrespect to blondes...but I am one maybe that explains it??? Mike seems to think though that the letter was from the NVC??? not the USCIS?? Sorry to be a pain , however I dont think this is the NOA2??? Is there a scan of one on this site, or what do they look like, say.... etc... Thanks for your help once again you're a Monkeyjuice!!!

Firstly congrats!!!

You don't need the NOA2 for the interview but you will need it for AOS. Get Mike to contact USCIS and ask where your NOA2 is as you have received the letter from NVC which should come afterwards. It may be that it is floating around in the endless black hole called the postal system.

I got my packet 3 about 2 weeks after the embassy received the approved petition.

Sorry guys if this doesnt make to much sense I have had about 4 hours sleep and in a rush to get out to take my car for it's MOT anyway what it all boils down to is when Mike called and said we had been approved and that he had received the letter of approval I assumed it was the NOA2 ......but it's not it's the letter from the NVC saying it's on its way to London!!!!!!
