  1. Do you have a marriage registration certificate(government issued). Does your original nikkah certificate has any kind of stamp?

I don't have a marriage registration certificate from the government. I understand that the nikkah certificate + notarized English translation is officially recognized by the indian government. Both the marriage certificate + notarized translation are stamped.

  2. All,

I just got off the phone with the NVC and they said there seems to be an issue with your Marriage Certificate. They provided no further detail so I'm at a loss for what the issue really is. I submitted the Original Nikah Namah (Muslim Marriage Certificate in Urdu) and also a notarized translation in English. I have requested that they re-evaluate the case but that will take 10 days. Has anyone else been in a situation like this? Any suggestions? So close yet so far....Help please!!!

  3. My wife, beneficiary, sent an email to the NVC indicating her Choice of Agent (DS-3032). How long does it take for this to be accepted by the NVC? Its been four days since she emailed and every time I've called they still haven't received it. When is the Packet IV ($405) fee generated?

I would greatly appreciate your inputs.

    Thanks

  4. Folks,

My I-130 was approved in 86 days and has was assgigned an NVC case number as of 4/16/09. How long does it generally take for the NVC to send me an email for AOS and Bill payment? I also called the NVC to request the "Invoice ID Number" as referenced in the "Shortcut." Apparently they don't give that information over the phone anymore. Are there other ways of getting this?

Everything seems to be moving quickly. Hopefully this pace continues.

    Thanks.

  5. Can someone help answer a question about filling out the I-129F after filing the the I-130.

Reading the I-129F instructions on page 4 paragraph 2 are very vague, it says i need documents for Items 1, 2 and 4, but not item 3. but I can't figure out what "ITEMS" are.. I called the USCIS National Customer Service Center and they couldn't answer my question either...

Can someone explain what I will need to send? Do I send all the same documents again? Birth certificates, 325a, marriage certificates..etc..etc...?

and did I read it right, there is no fee if used in conjunction with the i-130?

    thanks in advance

  6. Hey guys...I just got my NOA 1 for my wife and am now preparing the I-129F. The I-129F checklist calls for a Copy of the I-130 Transfer Notice as well as the NOA. All I have received is the NOA. Isn't the I-130 Transfer Notice and the NOA the same thing???The NOA does state that the I-130 is being transferred to Vermont. So i assume thats all I need to send in. What do you say?

  7. I filed on 31 dec 2008 , recived NOA1. Still wondering if i should apply for I129f. Confused about it. I read somewhere on the forum that it takes pretty much the same time as I 130. Any one has any sujjestions.

I'm pretty sure you have to submit the I-129F to make the K3 VISA process forward. Once you receive the NOA1 it will inform you to submit a I-129F to the designated Service Center. Right, guys???

  8. Hey Guys & Gals...I'm new to the website...Applied last year for a Fiance VISA and was rejected because the "Consular Officer was not convinced of our relationship." This was completely bogus as we have been together for the last 5 years and I had presented numerous amounts of supporting documentation.

So, Saima and I decided to get married in December in Lucknow, India. I have recently applied for the I-130 and am praying that everything goes smoothly. Lets get through this together!

    12/21/08- Married

    1/16- Submit I-130

    1/20- I-130 received at Chicago

    ???- NOA 1
