a couple of day for my interview and I still need to review tons of things for the test.. I don't find the senator, representative of the state of new york. There are couple of questions I need to know about some representatives. Does any body know that? I looked in google but I am not sure about that. I know the governor Andrew Cuomo.

The two senators for the state of New York are Charles Schumer and Kristen Gillibrand.
While the representative is Gary Ackerman.

Okay, the best from that I know - you should start with filing the form I-130. Go to HERE. Better to do it before she will be 18, this is a shorter line for kids (after 18 all process can take years!).
Read instruction, fill out and print the form, and send it with payment ($420 for today). After 2-5 months you will have it approved, and they will write you what to do next. And, you can find same stories here, on VJ, and study what to do. Just send the form to start it first.
As for her father and his authorization, it depends of Cameroon law and American Embassy's rules when your daughter will go there to her visa (or Green card) interview. Find their website to find out more.

Thank you so much for the information..So,here is what i have so far,,,,
I filled ,printed and signed form I-130.
A large folder of western union transactions to Cameroon (prove of financial assistance to my daughter ).
A copy of my naturalisation certificate.
My daughter,s birth certificate that showed me as her biological mother .( on her birth certificate the space for father,s name is blank because he abandoned me when i told him that i was pregnant ,he was not there during birth and has never expressed any form of serious interest in us.He did came by a couple of times when my baby was around four years old and that was it.Fortunately my family was financially capable of supporting us and has continue to provide for her till today.)The American embassy in Cameroon webside does not provide any information regarding getting permission from her father inorder for her to leave Cameroon.
On tuesday,i will get a money order for the application fee and i think that is about it???Will take another look at the guide before sending the application into phoenix lockbox office.
Do i need to send a copy of my marriage certificate?

Hello All! I had my Oath this morning. I am now a Citizen
Congratulations on your citizenship ceremony.Same here,the ceremony was scheduled for 9AM,79 people were sworn in from 22 countries.Four people offered to share their experince to the whole audiance .Super happy that this show is finally over for me.I did filled an application to update change of status with social security and will wait to have that updated before applying for a passport.
On the other hand i will start the N600 process for my daughter from Cameroon by the end of the month.
I have no idea what documents to summit ?How long will it take? She is under 18 years ,so interview not required,right? I read somewhere that i will have to summit documents of financial assistance over the years to my daughter?And because i had her out of wedlock and her father has never been in her life ,a letter from him giving his authorization for her to leave Cameroon is not needed?
Please guys,if anyone has been through this process ,please give me a helping hand.I know its a straight and faster process if the under age child was living with the parent already,but this is not the case as she lives with my sister back in Cameroon.

Anyway,my interview was today at 7,,45 AM.Everything went as hoped and hubby and i were in and out in less than expected.
Interviewer said it might take three weeks to two months for oath letter.I hope it takes less than that time.

It look like Shashar and I havent gotten the Fingerprints appointment yet... Hmmm it sucks to wait but I really need to know when the appointment is so I can reserve a plane ticket for my Anniversary Vacation.
And our applications were sent on the same dates too.
Anyway,i got my finger printing letter today scheduled for July 31 here in Phx AZ.Hopefully yours came in today too?if not you should have it early this week.

Hello June filers,happy 4th of july and congrats to the person with the interview appointment.
I filed June 23, notice date is june 27 and check cashed june 28
Filing office is phx AZ.
On my NOA,it said to verify all personal infor listed above and notify them if there are any changes.This is the area that caught my interest,,,UPON RECEIPT OF ALL REQUIRED RECORD CHECKS,YOU WILL BE SCHEDULED TO APPEAR FOR AN INTERVIEW AT YOUR LOCAL USCIS FIELD OFFICE .
My question is ,what about BIO appointment? Have things changed that i am not aware of?My hubby seems to be in doubt too.
Will someone please state what your NOA says?

You can send it this week (30th May would have been the earliest date). You can send it in 90 days before your actual elligibility date for naturalisation, because they recognise that it will take a while to get the paperwork processed. You cannot have your actual oath ceremony until the 3rd anniversary is over.

Yes, June 1st is ok to send off your packet. No need to send things express, it only wastes money.
Hi,i have a semilar question that my husband and i are not on the same page ,,,,,I have been a resident since 08/28/2009, and i was thinking that i can send my application in this week.Having read the eligibility guide,i have to be a a permanent resident for at least three years which would be after august 28,right ? It does not say we can apply 90 days prior to our 3rd year as a permanent resident at all?
My package is ready to go anytime this week.Should i send it in or not?

Also preparing my package for the N-400. I calculated for early filing and it said June 12, but I am going to give it 2 days and file the 15th so I don't look desperate..(Arggg)
I am so anxious for this 3rd step to be over! and I can't wait for my 4th one to be started. It will be to bring my dad over to the states. It has been my plan for so long to have my family finally reunited and can't wait for my dream to come true. It breaks my heart that I couldn't bring my mom. She passed away a year ago, so close to finally being with me. But nonetheless I have to make sure I continue this process to have my dad with me.

Count me in too..We have everything ready for this next big step and will absolutely send application first thing next week.
Its so nice to see familiar face ( profiles )that i started this journey with.Unfortunately for me,this will not be the last step as my daughter,s N-600 application is contigent on my N-400.So looking forward to bringing my daughter to live with us.
My application is base on a three year marriage to a US citizen .

Hey guys,i have a quick questions and will appreciate any fitback .OH ,Congratulations first for our recent approved cases.
Hubby and me are getting ready with my citizenship application for next month and i want to know if i can include my under age ( under 18 ) daughter with my application.
When i read the guide it said something about inluding prove of financial support to your depending children who do not live with you with your package.Plus a letter from a relative or whoever stating that they have been looking after my daughter for all these years.
When i read that my interpretation was that i could summit an application for her as well.
Thanks for any suggestions.

Is it also realted to WHICH local office we did our biometrics? Why? I thought it is decided by the officers in Vermont center rather than the local USCIS offices.
I feel your fustrations all,,,,i do know that as long as you have not received a RFE there is nothing to worry about.I know how badly you want to hold that card in your hands,but as long as you have your loved ones,the wait will not be as painful .You will all be approved soon.
And BIG CONGRATS to all the approved cases from CSC.

I can only imagine what you all (Those who filed with VSC in particulary ,and those with CSC still waiting for approval) are going through.Our prayers are with all of you and hopefully good news will start coming in .

Thank you so much again, Drogs, Inky and mark101! We have some good news. we sent out the package on 09/15 and received our NOA with the 1 year GC extension on 09/23. A big weight lifted off our shoulders, because we have plans to travel to Sri Lanka in November, and my GC would otherwise have expired 1 week from when we return to USA. So now hoping that we won't have to mess with any additional evidence or that any interviews they set up won't be during the time we will be in Sri Lanka *fingers crossed*.

A month before we filled for ROC, i was added to the gas,electricity,cable and internate bills which were actually the few bills that i pay from my checking account.WE had all other documents such as life,house ,health and car insurance ,credit cards and joint checking and saving accounts,etc and felt pretty confidence about our documents.Its a huge difference what a few bills will make to your package.My husband started stressing out about it because like many people said,your evidence has to cover the last two years of your marriage.VJ is a great place,i insisted we have me added to them,three weeks later we mailed our package and was approved in less than three months.I will suggest you go ahead and have you added to these bills just in case you received a RFE,,,,
