  1. Hey fellas, I am really angry, just got on mail from the local social security office (suburb of Philly) about my wife's ss number

"Before we can issue you a ss number card, we must verify the document you gave us to show your Citizenship Alien with the Federal, State...

This is the second time they declined her a SSN!!!

First time we went there, we provided the Visa fiancee, and then certificate marriage, then we applied, they waited long after 30 days then said "your visa is expiring"

so we waited, my wife got the Employment authorization number, we went back to the local SS office, applied for a new one, we provided her employment authorization ID, our certificate of marriage, and my driver's license. And yet today we got that letter...

damn what do we do???

Freaking social security they should disappear now rather than after 2025

  2. Hello there again.

My mother has filed I-130 for my married sister in 2006, and last august of 2009 her application was approved at the USCIS and was sent to the NVC which she will probably wait 5 years. My sister has 2 kids, and when my mother filled the I-130 she listed both of the kids.

The question is, my sister wants another kid to have, would having another kid cause problems??

    Thank you.

  3. Hi ladies and gentlemen.

I just checked my wife's I-485 online and it states:

On January 15, 2010, we transferred this case I485 APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS to our CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER location for processing and sent you a notice explaining this action.

I live in a suburb of Philadelphia, aren't they supposed to send somewhere in the east, or I should chill out?

    Thanks :D

  4. Hey guys and gals, thanks for the info and the help.

I did not submit the vaccination copies, I thought they had in the database the USCIS once they took her medical exam reports at the JFK airport, the immigration officers. I called the USCIS, and told them that she had the medical exam 3 months ago, and they took at the JFK, and the USCIS idiot said you still need to take the medical exam bla bla :S

But anyways, before all of this, I thought it would be nice to get a wife from overseas, now its pinching me, hah, she is talking every day when im not home to her 4 sisters back in europe, instead of learning the English... :S

    Thank you.

  5. Hello there everyone.

My wife got the RFE for I 693 is missing.

I did not fill out that form because she had the medical examination back in her former country 3 months ago!

Now, she has an appointment at a civil surgeon for medical examination and vaccinations thing. She brought the vaccination report that she took from her former country.

Does this RFE mean trouble ahead? Also she has the biometric appointment tomorrow. Will they tell her tomorrow to come again after the I-693 is sent???

will they delay the process for AOS even longer???

    Thanks!

  6. Hello there everyone.

I just got a mail from Social security administration saying for my wife:

We cannot give you a social security card at this time because:

your legal immigration statusand/or documents will expire before an SSN card can be issued to you.

    Please contact us when:

you cangive us the document we need.

What the hell, when i was there we provided them her K1 visa which will expire on December 16th., marriage certificate.

Last week we got on mail the notifications from USCIS that they got the forms from us for I 418, I 131, and others.

    What do we do now???

  7. Hello to all of you.

Recently, I just got on the mail a note from I-485 telling me that they got the application for AOS and $1010.

I put everything including the bank statements.

But right now, I just put my name into my mother's bank account (now we both use that account).

I also have my own bank regular checking account which I had since 2002. But it states that if I go below $1,000 daily balance, I will be charged, while with my mom's checking account, there is no maintenance fee or charge.

I want to close my regular checking, and use the one with my mother.

Would this affect my AOS for my wife? Any complications?

ps. originally I was born and raised out of USA, so traditionally the only son even married still lives with parents ;)

    Thank you all.

  8. Hello guys and gals.

My wife she came on K1 fiancee visa to the States in September 15th, and she got the visa on September 5th. We applied for her social security number on October 1st, but we didn't receive yet. Because in the I-485 it asks for social security number, we did not mail the AOS yet. Should I mail the applications for AOS, or should I still wait for the social security number?

    Thank you.

  9. Finally, she got approved and will get the visa next week. Its been long worth the wait and it brought joy to us.

God is great, thank you God, everyone should believe in God! As well visajourney.com was really really helpful, whereas she was told at the interview that she had plenty of proof that we are together.

Now, I just checked out on the K1 Flowchart:

after my fiancee arrives in the States, the next few things it says like this:

-after two weeks get social security number then

    -get marriage certificate then

-go back to social security to get a new one with new last name

is this the right thing? to get first the social security, then marriage certificate, then a new social security with new name?

Thank you...and good luck to everyone...just follow all the guidelines in this website, and you will get the visa for your love ;)

  10. Hey ladies and gents. My fiancee's visa interview is in 3 weeks. While right now I just got the approval NOA2 of my sister and her family to bring them here in which my mother filled this form back in 2006. Now her NOA2 is in the NVC and probably on the way to the embassy.

Since, I filled for my fiancee, and my mother for my sister and her family, both my mom and I live at the same appartment which we listed in the forms. Should I get worried if the embassy receives my sister's NOA2, would they deny a visa for my fiancee??? I want my fiancee to come over before my sister

    any suggestions?

    Thank you

  11. I know I am asking too many questions, but my life is so hard those days.

My father passed away 2 months ago, in the day it was my fiancee's birthday, and now I miss him everyday. Its only me and my mother, everyone else back in my former country. My fiancee's presence here would lessen our sadness.

Her interview is in September, is it OK if I email the embassy and explain them my situation about my father, and tell them that my fiancee's presence will not substitute my father, but it could help the feelings of me and my mom? So, that the chances of her getting the visa might be higher, or they would feel bothered if I emailed them?

    Thank you.

  12. am i really doomed???

All of this is for the embassy interview.

I just got the tax return transcript from a local IRS office. It looks like they printed from online but its stamped IRS and all the info. But its good.

So, since I did not list the two part-time temporary jobs in the G325, should I:

-send the tax return transcript alone (are the chances high of RFE due to not supplying 1040 and W2 forms?)

    or

-send tax return transcrips plus 1040, and W2 forms (including of 2 companies that I did not list in the G 325 form)

    or

-send tax return transcrips plus 1040, and W2 forms (including of 2 companies that I did not list in the G 325 form) AND WRITE WITH A PEN on W2 forms of the 2 companies not listed in the G 325 form "Temporary part-time"

Please please help me, because after all the hard work of collecting all this evidence, emails, phone bills, job verifications, too much time consuming, I feel freaked out that this tax thing might not let my fiancee get the visa :S

    Geez, unwind! :)

You said in an earlier post that you were leaving on Sunday. Are you going to see your fiancee? If so, bring BOTH the transcripts AND the 1040 w/W2's. That way you're covered no matter what the consulate says in response to the email. I can't imagine them not accepting the transcripts instead of the 1040. I've never heard of a consulate that didn't accept the transcripts.

Unless the consulate says they specifically want the 1040, and won't accept the transcripts, then have your fiancee bring ONLY the transcripts to the interview. If they insist on the 1040 (again, I've never heard of a consulate that does this) then have her bring the 1040 and W2's EXACTLY as they were submitted to the IRS. Write NOTHING on the 1040 - the only exception is that the 1040 MUST be signed by you. The transcripts do not need to be signed. If she brings the 1040 and they happen to notice the discrepancy then your fiancee can explain that they were part time temp jobs, and you didn't think they needed to be listed. If it's a low stress consulate then they'll probably accept that. If it's a high stress (i.e., high fraud) consulate, then they could use it as an excuse to deny, but that doesn't mean that they will. That's why I said it depends on the consulate and CO at the interview.

By the way, what country is your fiancee in?

Oh I see, I will take both the transcripts and the 1040 w/W2 forms. So when she goes to the interview she will take only the transcripts.

In Macedonia, I have no idea if they are high or low stress consulate :/

    Thank you!

  13. Yes you will have to include your W2's with the I-864. What I would do would be to explain the temporary work in your cover letter when you submit the entire Packet 3.

From the I-864 instructions even though he is at consulate stage and will be filing a I-134

    25. Federal Income Tax Information.

You must provide either an IRS transcript or a photocopyfrom your own records of your Federal individual income taxreturn for the most recent tax year. If you believe additionalreturns may help you to establish your ability to maintainsufficient income, you may submit transcripts or photocopiesof your Federal individual income tax returns for the threemost recent years.

You are not required to have the IRS certify the transcript orphotocopy unless specifically instructed to do so by aGovernment official; a plain transcript or photocopy isacceptable.

Thank you so much brother!!! All day long Ive been stressed about this. I got the bank statements, and I will copy the papers that I own the apartment. As well, pay stubs and employment verifications and the tax return transcripts stamped by the IRS.

WhidbeyGirl, thank you, I will give it to my fiancee the W2 and the form 1040, but she will leave it at home during the interview, just in case they give RFE.

  14. Hey ladies and gentlemen. All of this is for the interview.

When I filled the G325 form, i did not list 2 companies that i worked for last year because they were temporary part-time. Now that my fiancee said in the packet 3 it says she needs 1040 form. While on the embassy's website it states this: acceptable forms of proof are a letter from your employer that indicates your current earnings and job history; most recent federal income tax returns; and bank statements or documentation of other assets.

I just got the Tax return transcripts (it does not state which companies i worked, but it states my income for last year which is $35,000)

Do i need to send both the tax return transcript and 1040 w/ W2 forms? If I send the W2, there will be two W2 from two companies that I worked last year but did not state it in the G 325. Should I write with pen on the W2 forms of two companies not listed on G 325 "Temporary part time"???

For this year I started to work for a different company as full-time, as well another part-time since 2007, got work verification from both companies, and pay stubs collected.

What should I do??? Please help me :(

  16. God, I am in trouble :S

My fiancee received the packet from the embassy, and on a letter it said that she needs to have the 1040 form from me...do I need the 1040 form that I have here with W2, or does the tax return transcript work without the 1040 plus W2???

or is the tax return transcript same as 1040 form??

Most consulates ask for the tax return and W2's, but I've never heard of one that won't accept the IRS transcripts. You should contact the consulate, just to be sure. The transcripts are usually considered more reliable than a tax return because they show the numbers the IRS recorded into their computers. Anybody can download a 1040 form and write anything they want into it. Forging an IRS transcript would take considerably more work because it contains a tracking number that can easily be confirmed with the IRS.

It depends on your embassy, but many of them take a long time to respond to an email. You may not receive an answer to your question before you leave. I'd get the transcripts and bring both transcripts AND 1040 + W2's with you, just in case.

Jim thank you for your time and help.

I am going to email the embassy and ask them. Should I ask them like this "as for the tax return for the 2008, do I need to send to my fiancee the tax return transcripts from the IRS that I will get it, or should I send something else?"

  17. You're supposed to list every job you've held in the past five years on the G-325A, and also supposed to account for periods of unemployment. You didn't, and now you're going to submit a tax return to the consulate that shows jobs that were not listed on the G-325A. What happens now is anybody's guess, and probably depends on the consulate and particular CO who reviews your package at the interview.

You have a potential problem. If you submit the tax return without W2's for every job for which you claimed income, you're probably going to get an RFE for the other W2's. Otherwise, the CO is going to think you're doctoring your tax return to make your income look better. If you submit the W2's for the other jobs, then you've given the CO everything they need to deny your case for misrepresentation. All they need is to find something that USCIS didn't know at the time you submitted the original petition and they can nuke your petition and send it back to USCIS with a recommendation that the approval of the petition be revoked.

You can't submit a revised G-325A to the consulate because the G-325A is not approved by the consulate - it's approved by USCIS. The consulate cannot replace any document in your original petition that's already been approved by USCIS.

And there is your quandry. You have a document in your initial petition that conflicts with material information you must now submit to the consulate.

I recommend you get transcripts for the tax returns from the IRS. No W2's are required to be submitted to the consulate if you send transcripts, and the transcripts do NOT list the particular places you worked - they only contain a line item list of the dollar amounts from your original tax return. Don't ask - don't tell.

this is really scaring me man, everything is falling apart, the reason i did not post 2 other companies in the G325 is because I worked part-time temporary :S damn what do i do now?

in the packet 3 it says that I should give the 1040 form...while I will receive the tax return transcript from IRS in 10 days...does this tax transcript help or do i also need the W2??? :S
