She is lucky that she can live fairly normally. She is on a cocktail of medications that manages her MS pretty well. But she does get tired pretty easily. Since she was diagnosed in September 2007, she has not had a relapse. She works full time but as she gets older she feels like she can't do so much. Oh, and she is 52.

My mum has multiple sclerosis too...she had to keep it a secret from her old employer because of people either accusing her of faking/having something contagious, or just not understanding.

No, I just went. When I was in the office, it appeared that only beneficiaries were there, and not their spouses. Only children were with their parents. So your wife should be okay by herself!

Oh, and I had my appointment letter, I did not try and do it the day I got the letter, I waited about five days.

Hi! I tried to do a walk in twice and got knocked back the first time. I live five minutes from my local office so I went there on a friday afternoon and they would not take me and told me to try in the morning the next week. I came back, was very friendly to the security people and they let me. I really think it depends on the office though. You might as well try!!
