  1. I did the F-1 visa for my wife's niece the process was pretty simple, all you have to do is to show that you can pay the 1st semester and the school will grant the I-20 of course there is more to the process we should 25k and she was accepted to the UNC-Fayetteville State University. they processed her I-20 in just one day i did all the other leg work but what you need to do 1st is find out what school she will attend take the SAT and Teofl test there in manila and if her scores are good the get her high school classes evauated by the agency that the school has choosen to do the eval if you need or want help just let me know.

  2. I'm honestly just making sure I'm not missing anything here. My gf is trying to study in the us and we've tried to do research but all I see is that you have to show proof of funds in order to study here, and it's obviously a lot more expensive for someone out of state/country, like riduculous amounts. I know that many colleges value having international students, so I'm thinking that there has to be some that would offer a partial scholarship or something? Or are there other general scholarships for international students? I haven't found much luck finding any. Can anyone please provide me with some good links to check something like that out? If she has to show proof of $30,000+ that isn't happening. She's smart but didn't have brilliant grades or anything, just above average. She is studying to be an elementary school teacher after taking 2 years off college she has 2 to go and just transfered to a new college but like I said, she has put countless time into trying to find out how to study here. Her college has a foreign exchange program with Austrailia but nothing with the us. Are there any other options? I know this is kind of a pipe dream of ours, but it seems really impossible :crying:

  3. Hi e. me and my wife sent in her packet in November . but i i have leave coming up in April. we were woundering if its possible to get a visit visa for a couple weeks.... i just signed a beware contract here in Kuwait for at minimum one more year. she has residency here under my visa. her father work here in Kuwait also. we have complete intentions to come back as i have to work. she does not work. do you think the embassy here in Kuwait will approve the visit visA?

We were in kuwait also and i can tell that chances are not good for that visit visa but some people do get them there, but the embassy is very very picky.

  4. Does anyone know what the chances are that I'll be able to expedite my petition through the "financial loss" category because it looks as though the groom won't be here in time for my huge (250+ guests) wedding? I know my chances probably aren't good. If there is a chance though, does anyone know how I would go about doing this? And before anyone says it, I know it was stupid to plan a wedding before we knew for sure when he'd be here, but we didn't realize Vermont would be so slow

It wont hurt to try you have nothing to loose but try and go through your state senator they have a little bit more weigh than you do trying to request it by yourself, i did a expedite and my process took off after my senator her in NC got her staff on it and now my wife is a LPR with her greencard, hit me up with a message and we can talk you through it the best way i know. But never say never each case is different and yours may be the one that they approve.

  5. WHY ARE YOU WASTING YOUR TIME, IF SHE CANT SEE THE GOOD IN YOU TOO COMIT THEN ITS TIME TO MOVE ON, LIKE OTHERS HAVE SAID THIER ARE SO MANY LADIES THAT ARE LOOKING FOR LOVE BUT HAVENT MET THE RIGHT MAN YET, CUT YOUR TIES WITH HER AND THE FAMILY AND MOVE ON TO SOMEONE THAT WILL LOVE YOU FOR YOU AND SOMEONE THAT IS READY TO BE YOUR WIFE. SHE HAS COLD FEET?, I DONT THINK SO, MAYBE SHE HAS SOMEONE ELSE AND DONT KNOW HOW TO TELL YOU, IF IT WALKS LIKE A DUCK, QUACKS LIKE A DUCK ,THEN ITS A DUCK PLAIN AND SIMPLE.

  6. Let her run she wont get far because she has to go through you to adjust her status get you lawyer and cut your ties, she had a plan but hers will backfire on her, so now protect yourself and let her go.

I am looking for some information regarding my exposure currently. My then fiance and her son entered the U.S. on November 30, 2009 on a K1 visa. We married on January 19, 2010. Soon after the marriage I began to see signs that I was being used for a green card, so I did not start the AOS process. She has established quite a network of ladies whom are also from the Ukraine and have been in the U.S. for years. On Mother's day ironically, she and her son left me to move in with one of the ladies family, and I have not heard from her since.

If anyone can comment on my situation, mainly with respect to my exposure. In a perfect world I would like to obtain an uncontested divorce, and get on with my life.

  7. You really what someone's opinion of what you asked? your kidding right? why would you try and override a doctor with a bribe? what if she is positive and you bring her to the states? oh how sad you she maybe, you need to wait and just be suppoertive of her as she deals with this, its only 7 months and if that doctor reports it to the embassy which he will then she is screwed and so are you she will never get a visa then, so think about what you are trying to do.

St. Lukes has marked my wife as TB active, even though they wont tell us that directly. They say she needs to stay here for 7 months. If my wife had active TB then she would be coughing really bad along with a whole ton of other symptoms. I am 100% sure that my wife either has latent or no TB at all.

St. Lukes, from my understanding, gets paid big money by the embassy for their "observed treatment service" that they provide to the "customers", which would give them plenty of motivation to mark people as TB active when in reality they really aren't. I have tried speaking to the embassy and they aren't willing to help.

I am thinking about going down to St. Lukes and passing some $ under the table to a pulmonologist to get her approved. I think the whole "business" they have is a complete scam. Has anyone ever done such a thing or can anyone provide advice on how to go about doing such a thing? I understand it's a big risk but I am 100% sure they are playing games with us. I have high ranking radiologist friends in the states and they highly doubt that my wife has active TB as well.

    What should I do?

  8. Can i ask why you even wanted a fake name?

    Hello,

I came to US in 1998, had 2 different Social Security numbers & I.D's. I left in 2004, 10 year bar applied, I-601 approved came back to US in 2007. I went to renew my real name ID & License, it went OK. In Feb 08, I received a letter to appear at the Secretary of State's office. I went at the office and they showed me both files with my picture with 2 different names on it. I accept my mistake and they canceled my fake name file and SS#. They gave me 1 year of suspension on my Driving License as a punishment which was from May 2008 till May 2009. I got my license back in May 2009 in mail but it still appears on my Motor Vehicle Record that I commit Fraud in making of an application since 09. I made a mistake in the past but never used the fake name to do any kind of fraud besides going to the night clubs.

I have a 10 years Green Card and now I am eligible to file for my Citizenship, I don't know what to do. Should I hire an attorney to file the case for me or I can do it my self. Should I mention my license suspension and my other name in the form or not. I really don't know what to do? Please help please.

    Thank you so much.

  9. Ok here is my question, i work overseas in Kuwait, i want to change my K1 to get married here and do DCF, now from what i was told by the embassy is that once we are married the K1 will be no more, i understand all that but now i hacve to ask why is it that if you both have lived in the same contry for 4 years together and i have maintain a home in the states banks and pay my US taxes, i was told by the embassy here that if i want to bring her to the states i would have to show that i am moving back to the states meaning i would have to resign here and show that i have a job in the states or be truly seeking a job, now is it me or does that sould a little out of norm why would i quit a job here and be unemployed and show them that im looking for a job wouldnt that seem dumb to leave a 120k job to be unemployed? well that what they told me i would have to do for a K1 visa and if i wanted to file there DCF, i need a little advice from someone who has done DCF pleas leave all the smart comment off just want some sound advice please.

  10. As a Black American the MLK holiday has true meaning and it to us is a very important day of rememberance. In his own life’s example, he symbolized what was right about America, what was noblest and best, what human beings have loved unconditionally. He was in constant pursuit of truth, and when he discovered it, he embraced it. His nonviolent campaigns brought about redemption, reconciliation and justice. He taught us that only peaceful means can bring about peaceful ends, and that our goal was to create the love community.”America is a more democratic nation, a more just nation, a more peaceful nation because Martin Luther King, Jr. became her preeminent nonviolent commander.

  11. One of the reasons I would like to move to the philippines one day with my wife is the attitude of the poor filipinos and how they deal with circumstances. Look at these two photos and see how big the differences are.

In philippines 24 hours after the flood, a woman is already starting to clean up her home.

In the united states after hurricane katrina...about 24 hours after the flood (you can see the waters have still not subsided) people are looting like crazy.

    Looters2.jpg

I read a post on here of someone saying that louisiana is still recovering from the flood. I would bet anything that within a few months people in the philippines will already have recovered from their flood.

This is also what scares me about my country (the US) That when bad things happen here, we take forever to bounce back from it. With what is happening with the economy today I think its going to get so much worse in the US over the next year or so and I just dont think the people here can handle it and things will get so much worse than the great depression.

Perhaps the reason the filipinos recover so fast is that they all pray when disaster happens and God helps them recover quickly. In the US, many people do not believe in God anymore and do not pray when bad things happen which is why i believe we take so long to recover from disasters.

I have to disagree with what your saying about us americans, we have and always will pray in good times and in bad, in case you didnt see the pictures of hurricane katrina clean up began soon after the storm, people who lost alot in the storm in the phillipines will feel the effect long after the storm just like katrina, storms like that come maybe once in a 100 years so to praise the people of the philippines for their slow recovery and to put amricans down is just flat wrong and you were not there when katrina hit all you saw was cnn reports, i was there and i know clean-up started soon after we were allowed to go back to our homes.

  12. My fiancee just came here about 1 month on a K-1 visa. She has to marry me within 90 days, but we haven't yet. Recently her relatives that live about 2 hours away have been contacting her. Everytime i asked her what do they want, she says they just wanted to say hi and see how she is doing. Yesterday i came home from work, came to my surprise, she took off with them and took our baby along with her. I called the cops but they said she has the right to go anywhere, and also can take the baby anywhere she likes since that's her baby. She took her visa, passport and all the baby paperwork with her, the baby is a US citizen. Now i am so depress, and need everyone's help on this. What should i do, the cops cant do anything about this. Does she have the right to take the baby anywhere? what about back to Vietnam? please help me!!

Ok 1st thing is to get you a family law atty. many people here will have opinions and thats good, but get you an atty, i went through this with my ex in my previous marriage and i was able to get my son back through the legal system on the spot, she has parental rights, but to move the child across state lines without your consent is not legal, so take my advice and get you an lawyer get the judge to sign the court order and go to wherever she is staying have the police dept there to serve the order and get your child of course there is more but i will let your atty. be the one to explain it to you, she has made a very big mistake and this is one she will lose.
