i just received my k1 visa and will leave for the states soon to finally be with my man. I know that i have to file AOS which will take some months. But now my soon to be hubby gets deployed again soon and he thinks it will be better if i return home for the time he is gone.

So he wont leave before the AOS is (hopefully) done. So can i go back home for the 11 or 12 months (after a completed AOS) or is this messing everything else up for the future?

Did u ever experience emailing your embassy and not receiving the automated email response that the consulat/embassy received your email?

I sent an email awhile ago (sunday - do they shut it off??) and never gotten the email response and therefor no answer to my email.

I didnt get the autoresponse the first time i emailed and of course no answer from frankfurt.

The second time i emailed i got the autoresponse and an answer from the consulat within hours. Maybe the email got lost somewhere in the system. Or they shut it off on weekends so the account wont load up with too many questions, cause the first time i wrote was a sunday.

To make a long story short. Did u receive that automated email too when u wrote from ur personal account?

Or did they delete my first on cause i forgot to put case number and full name in the subjectline? The automated email i got today said u should do so.

I have a question for people that email the frankfurt consulat before.

I emailed them weeks ago from my normal email account and never gotten response to my question. Today i tried again but i send the email from the usembassy website ( that form u can fill at the immigrant visa section). Today i got an email saying they received my email and it will be answered soon. But i never gotten this email when i emailed from my account.

So is it normal not to get it if u send from ur personal account? Or maybe they never received my first one?

Just out of curiosity. Did u admit to working while ur case was pending (like on ur DS156) or did they find out by running ur name through the system and seeing and open application or whatever?

Can i do the medical a day after the visa inteview or on the same day? Or does the medical HAVE to take place before the interview? I understand no medical, no visa. But i see nowhere that it has to be done before.

Wouldnt have something come up at one of the Visa interviews?? I mean if it does flag the system one or some of u guys wouldnt have gotten ur visas in the first place, or am i wrong?

I have to admit, the line about getting arrested is really scarey. But isnt this just about terrorists or really serious cases. Or am i getting this all wrong?

I can only speak four our case. We faxed request for expedite on 02/16 and had our approval on 02/19. But we never received approval for expedite.

Ok great review (Hallo von june87 ausm anderen Forum). Im already nervous but havent received Pack 3 yet.

No FedEx or anything like that from where he is. Well i guess i have to go with the suggestion to have him send it by snail mail and email and as soon as i have pack 3 i will write to the embassy to explain hthe situation and if they dont accept it we will have to wait til the snail mail gets here.

My question is. Is it ok if my fiance scans the afidavit and sends it by email and i print it out? My fiance is currently deployed and "Snail-Mail" can take months or not even get here at all. Anyone experience with it?

After requesting expedite this monday cause my fiance is deployed we were approved on the 19th..yay...
