  1. Hi Journey 05, thank you for your reply and help. In four years of our marriage we don't have children yet.

woh. that IO must be a difficult person. anyway, did u and him have any children since 07? I have never encounter dthis even though me and my wife are filing on merit of marriage to a US citizenship not a 5-year continous residency. If you have children, you can bring in birth certificates just to prove you have a real marriage. This is what my wife will do when she goes to the interview. and that we have two children as proof.

by the way, I did not realize my wife have to provide evidences of marriage to me before sending out the N-400.

    Good luck.

  2. yesterday was my appointment test or interview for citizenship. i passed all the test but the officer told me that they need more documents dated 2007. i am filed the application under marriage with a us citizen, the officer asked me if i have copies of bills, bank statements and insurance policy dated 2007. of course at that time i said i only have the latest documents with me. then they issued a n-14 form stating that they need more documents and should be hand delivered on the re-interview date. failure to submit the documents might lead into denial of your application. my problem is one of the documents in the list or n-14 form is an insurance policy with the spouse showing beneficiary for 2007 & 2008. my husband does not have life insurance but i have one with him as beneficiary dated 2008. will that be sufficient? pls give advice on what can i do thank you.

  3. Immigrants do not adjust status. Adjustment of Status has to do with a NON-Immigrant adjusting status to Immigrant, that is a K-Visa holder filing an I-485 to adjust status to an immigrant and get a green-card.

A medical is not needed when filing I-751.

wow thank you for this posting, i just finished my biometrics. i was just wondering if i am going to have to go for another medical exam. :)

  4. Hello! :) I just received my biometrics and was so happy to receive a mail from USCIS. But problem is my first name was misspelled in the form and I'm scheduled on 4/11/09 (its a saturday). I didn't know they work saturdays, anyway I called up USCIS to notify them of their mistake and they said I should go on the specified date and bring my passport and driver's license. Oh well I think I'm gonna go thru a bumpy ride :unsure:
  5. Hello,

Yesterday my husband and I Feb. 13, 2009 went to the Philipppine Consulate in New York to ammend my passport. I was surprised when the passport officer informed us that I have to apply the report of marriage in Los Angeles, California, since my marriage was solemnized in Las Vegas, Nevada. But I told him that I live here in New York and he said it is not in their jurisdiction. I came here in US with a fiancee visa, I'm currently in the stage of removing my conditions. I'm not sure if I need to ammend my passport, we never had any interview with the US Immigration

Did you have to report your marriage and go through the ammendment your passport? My passport still has my maiden name and it expires on 2010, we can't afford to go to California at this time. I hope someone here can help me,

Thank you for any help :D

I did report my marriage a few weeks after our wedding. You can send the application to the nearest DFA in your area. Also i went home sa Pinas that is also one reason i had to ammend my passport .

Ammendment of passport is through mail you don't have to go to Calif.

Hi Thank you for your help, I found their website and accomplished all the forms hopefully by monday its out of here
