I called USCIS today and they said that at the time of the interview they would give me a stamp. I really dont even know who has more information anymore, as I made an infopass appt for my EAD, and all they told me at that time was to call the 1 800 number! Which, of course the 1800 number had been who told me to make the infopass appt in the first place. I'm reaaaaally getting frustrated with everything as nobody I contact seems to know anything except what I can already access online through the USCIS site, which isnt even updated to the current status! I guess though if I make an infopass appt, they can tell me if that office gives the stamps.

I cant seem to find a straight answer on the I-551 stamp. Ive read that they dont want to give them out anymore as it takes a few days to approve the AOS...I'm REALLY hoping they can do something for me, I cant drop out of a wedding a month before!!!!!

SO, after calling and waiting and getting nowhere about my EAD still not here after 93 days...I recieved my AOS interview letter in the mail. I have a trip planned as my best friend is getting married in Edmonton on Sept 4th and I'm a bridesmaid, the rehearsal is Sept 2. My interview? Sept 1. Do I have to surrender my AP at the interview? Am I allowed to ask to keep it? I've read that it isnt a good idea to reschedule the interview, what are my options?

Alright, so found out why my EAD hasnt been approved yet...received an RFE in the mail today stating that we need to send in my husband's W2 from 2009. The thing is, I have a full photocopy of EVERYTHING I sent in with my AOS application, and I sent his W2 in at that time (April 30th!) My first RFE was for income tax forms, and those were sent in right away. They didnt notice at that time that the W2 was missing?

I'm getting REALLY frustrated. AOS is a lot of time, money and work. Why does it seem that they are so disorganized?!?!

Also, where do these missing forms end up? Hopefully not in the hands of anyone who doesnt need to see it! I called USCIS today and all they could tell me was that if I was concerned about the missing document to speak with an immigration lawyer It also sounded like she was reading a script. So annoying.

I waited til I had my appointment date, then used the online service to email the medical office and asked them to schedule it for the day before my interview. I also asked the consulate for a specific day of the week so I could do it all in a few days in Vancouver, I cant remember which day the medical office does the physicals...but they both were very accomodating. I had no troubles getting the dates I wanted for both.

Yes they contacted me by email, and I think it was a few days after I filled out the form. Yes they still did my medical, after a loud annoyed sigh from the receptionist and her chewing me out for not reading properly. I think that if that's all I forgot, then I was doing pretty good

I asked the same question awhile back and decided to try our bank just to see. We had absoloutely no issues. I've cashed three Canadian cheques there since March and havent paid any fees or anything. They just convert it into American funds and deposit it.

Its very easy Plan on being at both places for several hours, and for the love of god bring everything that is on the checklist for the medical. I forgot the photocopy of my passport and had my head bitten off Both places are pretty close to each other, and Vancouver is beautiful have fun!

I have an insurance claim reimbursement coming to me at my new address >:I It was supposed to be at my old address weeks before I moved..but they goofed! Big shocker there, eh? So now I'll be stuck with a cheque I cant cash. I might have to send it up to a friend to deposit in my Canadian account I guess

Is there ANYWHERE that I'm able to cash a Canadian cheque in the U.S?
