Hello everyone i need some help. My wife came from Germany on a K-1 visa 1 year ago and she has gotten her greencard for 3 years. We now are going back to germany to visit some family and my question is she still has a valid german passport good until the end of 2010 and her greencard is that enough to travel with to germany will it be valid for her to go there and come back…thank you so much for the help

hey guys recieved my green card but it has the same last name and i want to change it to my new last name...how do i go about that...i want to do that for all my immigration documents...thanks so much for your help in advance

hey guys i dont kno if i said this already but i recieved my travel document and work authorization... i got the travel document about 5 days after the approval was sent and the work card about 1 and a half week later...about three days after that my case was transfered to CSC and i recieved an email that they recieved my file and continued working on it.....things are really moving fast now then the k-1 visa and it is espeacially more easier when your loved one is with you.....good luck to everyone

hey guys i got an email saying my case was transfered i heard that means i might not get a interview and they will just send me the Green Card...can some 1 explain that further and does anyone know how much longer will it take from here on???? thank you

YIPPEE....I am so happy today!!

I just checked on line.....AP was approved on the 26th and EAD today. I can hardly wait to go home ot Nova Scotia.

That 3.5 hour drive does not sound fun at all. Perhaps see if you can schedule it on a Friday afternoon & make a vacation out of it by hanging out in New Orleans for the weekend. Even if you don't, tell New Orleans "Hi" for me, as that's where I'm from.

There isn't a closer CS? Even if he or she charges more, it may be worth it to save on the drive time & if they can do it sooner.

Hearing how far away the CS's are from you two makes me REALLY appreciate that the CS we went to was 1.2 miles away, and available an hour after I first called her. :: ducks from flying shoes ::

all the forms that i filled out for AOS i put my wifes original last name i lready changed her when we got our marriage certificate...when i get the green card is her original name going to be on it or her new last name???

Finally received my biometrics letter today and I'm supposed to go get it done January 14th at 3pm. However, I'm going to try doing a walk in. Anyone know if they do walk ins at the Jamaica Avenue office in Queens, NY?

im not sure if the do walk-ins but ill tell u what that place is never busy so when u go u should be in there for 30 min max...good luck

hey guys thanks for your help i sent out all the forms from my RFE and my i693 sealed envelop so i hope everything goes well.....

the Application number on the noa1 for my wife is also MSC so i think its ok...

We went to my wifes biometrics yesterday and we were in and out of there in 15 mins and i thought that was weird.. is that common are the biometric appointments usually that fast??

you do need to have it signed of by a CS and they need to transcribe it and seal it in an envelope. you then send that in with your AOS paperwork i had the same problem as far as a doctor wanting to perform the medical again. the doctor i found just did a blood test and a TB test so imma go sign tommarow and take the sealed envelopei had to pay $160. hope i helped

I don't know the answer to your question, but you might try to ask in a separate thread in the AOS forum where more people might be familiar with the answer.

Anyway, we got our NOAs in the mail Monday, so that's 5 days for NOA + another 5 days to get the hard copies. We haven't had much (any) luck in getting the online case status to work so far. But my bank account went down by $1010, so I guess we didn't forget any signatures. Anyway, now that we have the notices, when the I-94 expires on the 31st, we should be ok.

just to clarify things a little i am the patitioner my sister is the sponser for my wife i filed for AOS of course and i got an RFE i was told that i need seperate i-864 for me and for the sponser.. i had some help from my lawyer when i was filling it out. from the check list for the sponser i need her citizenship certificate and 2008 tax return transcript... and since i have non of those because i am a student im not sure if i need any type of supporting documents.?

can any1 help me with this?? i got a RFE for the i-864 because they need 2 separate forms because i have a sponser. the proof that i have for my sponsor is her citizenship certificate and her 2008 tax return....for my i-864 that i filled out i put ALL zeros because i have no job do i need any proof since i never worked and i never filed taxes... i am a student???? thanks

i got my wifes birth certificate who is also from germany tranlated from a company called ultra translate (google them) i just faxed over her birth certificate and i balieve for about $80-120 they got me all the information and it was certified.

so the i-693 in the sealed envelope is the only thing they need and no other immunization records like copies or cetified translations?

When the Civil Surgeon fills out form i-693 is that also were they transcribe the vaccination history or do they give u a seperate letter?
