Got my GC in the mail today!

It was funny because my husband had requested a Debit card for me, and he had requested a new one for himself too. So he was opening the mail on the other side of the room and he takes out the card, he's like '...uhhh this is not your debit card... It's your Green Card!!'

what a surprise!!

(I also got my debit card LOL I never in my life had carried so many cards around in my wallet B)

My wife and I were so surprised that we received a Welcome to the United States of America letter and I-130 approval notice from USCIS all dated on Feb 23, 2009. It says in the letter that I will be receiving my green card in the mail within the nxt 3 weeks.

Folks, I wish you all the best in this entire AOS process.

im doing the happy dance just about right now!!!!!! :dance:

Long story short..

waited in the lobby for about 40 min... then a nice Filipino/Samoan guy officer called us in...

He asked for ids and how we met...

after that he just flipped through my file.. and looked at some pics..

then he asked for all the bonafide documents... (lease, insurance, taxes)...

and that was it... nooo what is your name , your dob, how long you have been here, etc etc...

im guessing it lasted about 5 min...

he made me sign the paper for the removal of conditions and he said that my green card would be getting to my adress in 2-3 weeks..

ohh he took my tourist visa.. and he let me keep the EAD for future jobs that might appear during this upcoming weeks..

Im really happy and exited... I cant believe how good and fast this was...
