  1. Hello all,

I was sitting in the plane to take of to Brussels for a family visit and a wedding when my husband called...' your appointment letter for biometrics came in' ... so then what do u you...he called the uscis right away to see what goes on and they say if u reschedule it can take again 30 to 90 days that u get a new apointment, we already waited from August 12 till november 3rd to even get a biometrics scheduled for my EAD and Green Card....

Right now im in europe and not sure if i should fly back (which changing tickets is gonna cost 1500 euros!!) or just send my paper back with the question to reschedule it....anybody help??

    Thanks Jeanine

  2. Hi Everybody!!

Im back after a long time again...of being busy!

Everything is going fine and we are waiting for news from USCIS again:(

I got already approved for my AP and waiting for AOS and Employment. On september 11 we got an email saying my AOS case was transfered to California...hopefully that means good news!

Glad to hear that Peet is settling down and must be excited to go in a school bus first time! Insurance wise I'm set because John works for AIG so he has pretty good insurance and could add me after the wedding without a problem.

Liz...your wedding is coming closer and closer I see you must be getting excited!! Its a great time, enjoy it all!

Ri...lol i knew that about Schulte..you didn't have his son? he's the younger doctor, but still in the very very old building its ridiculous! And yeah i know that Hawaii is great!! We went there for the honeymoon but you know;)

Our flight was very scary btw cuz the plane on the way from Phoenix to Honolulu broke...there was a hydrolic fuel leak and we had to return to Phoenix...scary times! Hopefully we never never have something like that again cuz we thought we werent gonna make it!

And welcome to the new people that I haven't seen here before! Good luch with all the cases and have patience because they are usually slower than we want! But its all worth it!

    Jeanine

  3. We sent the application for AOS, AP and Employemnt all on August 4th and received the NOA's on August 12th, since then we didn't hear anything until September 11 where I got an email saying that my AOS case was transfered to CSC. I didn't get an appointment for my biometrics or anything yet...is this good news or bad news?

I got already approved for my Advanced Parole on September 10th.

From my Employment application I didn't hear anything...

    Anybody had the same?

    Thanks!

  4. K1 entrant in almost every case is not authorized to work without DHS Authorization - even with a temporary EAD stamp (if that is what you got) - presumably you entered through JFK airport in New York since that is the only POE that issues the stamp any more.

You will very likely need your EAD card.

There is 2 stamps..one is on the I94 and the other is on the visa..both in red from DHS...i have my SSC and that says valid with DHS authorization only...so if i have the tsamp dus it mean im good to go?

  5. Hey K1 filers,

I arrived in the US on my K1 visa and they put a Homeland Department Security stamp on the visa....when i asked if he stamped my visa for being able to work he said..yes for 90 days...so this little red stamp means i can work? Little confused..but im offered a job already and i dont want to let this chance go by...

    Hope anyboy knows!

    Thanks,

    Jeanine

  6. There u go Peet!! I only had to get my DTP one..cuz that has to be renewed every 10 years or so.

Too bad u still didn't hear anything! Ur timeline says u should hear something very soon;) Lets hope so!! How many days now since NOA1? I guess we were very lucky to get approved within 4 months....

But ur approval will be here soon!! Keep ur hopes up!

I'm really counting down here..less than two weeks!! Friday we got scared so badly because 3 of Johns gparents were all of sudden in hospital...but so far we know now going all a little better...

Rianne I hope u are getting used a little again to NL life without Daniel, i hope time goes fast for u! Why cant u go back to usa faster as 3 months? u have to be away for 90 days too?

Have a good week all!

  7. Hello all!!

Sorry sorry i haven't been on here in a while cuz i've been really busy!!

I'm leaving NL on May 22!!! The wedding is July 31 and there's like 35 family members who are coming from NL to our wedding! So was alot of organizing, planning etc for the tickets and hotelrooms!

I picked a moving company named World Freight Logistics in rotterdam. They bring the container to my house and i have 2 hrs to fill it myself...then it gets shipped etc and brought to the final address and we have to unload it ourself again in 2 hrs. That was the cheapest option..but means i have a whole 20 ft container to fill;) 2200 euros...yeah its a bit but its worth it in my case;)

Anybody who has questions when im not on here..just email me jpladdet@yahoo.com. Cuz i might be busy in the coming weeks! But ill try to answer questions as soon as i can!

    Jeanine :star:

  8. Hope you have a good flight and a nice time Peet!! Def hope for u guys that u get approved when u're there!

The packing hasnt really started..but i did get my prices from moving companies..i have to compare them and decide what i want.

The wedding date now is set for July 31!!! The reception will be at the brickhouse in nj ;) and im surprised cuz kinda a bit of ppl from my family are coming over! so far around 15/20 ppl!

Still didnt get my passport with the visa back and i am getting a bit nervous;) wnat to have it!

  9. No date set yet for when i fly but itll be 3rd or 4th week of may...depending on when the wedding will be...most likely itll be August 1!!

At this place: Ramsey Golf and Country Club

The 107 something euros are for the Immigrant Visa Unit from the Consulate....i guess some fee to make the visa. Itll tell u in the letter that Pat will get in packet 4 when he gets his interview date. U cant miss it cuz its at the top in bold red letters haha! Pay right when u get the letter cuz u have to bring ur bankstatement that shows ur payment. I didnt receive the bank paper yet...and im glad at the time i paid i made a print screen...so i had proof.

  10. Hey all....here comes the whole story about yesterday;) lazulineiris asked me some questions and i wrote them this story in an email...so thought why not just copy it on the dutch/american topic so all ppl know!

    There i go....

I thought it would be all hard etc and was very good prepared with all copies from everything and showed up there with my big binder full of paperwork

I came in after some waiting by the gates, went through security, then stood in line for half hr..then was my turn and a very friendly person asked for my passport, birth certificate, the I134 with supporting documents, proof i paid the 107 euros, and he needed my J1 visa waiver cuz i've had that visa in 2006 and it has some requirements. Then he gave me back the Xray and the vaccination record and told me that i have to have my original brith certificate in my hand luggage during my travel to the usa. He took fingerprints from both my hands and told me to sit down and wait for the interview.

I sat for another idk half hr 45 min maybe and i was called to booth 6 (first was 5)...the guy behind the glass said i smelled like flowers lol and said he got confused from the smell  ...and made some jokes, was really friendly. I thought..now itll start...well he asked 'where did u meet ur fiance, whats his job, do u have any wedding plans' that were his questions and he put his fingers in the air and said a sentence he prob says a million times a day :star: that i could promise i filled it in all tru...so i said i did and he made me sign some papers.

Then all of a sudden (i expected more questions) he said "allright, ill give you the visa  , it will be send to you in a couple days" so i looked at him and said "thank you" ...that was it. said good bye and good luck in the usa.

Jeanine all happy...walking outside the buiilding with my big binder;) mostly still filled cuz they didnt even ask proof of ongoing relationship!! (he told me tho that i possible had to show that at the port of entry. I walked outside and as i was almost by the gate, the window opened and i was called back  ....i was like oh no! now what?? so again had to go trough the security and i came back by the window from booth 5 that called me through the window and he said 'they just forgot to verify ur vingerprint' and guess what...i had to wait another 20 minutes before the guy acme back and he said 'it was all cuz the flower smell when u walked up that i forgot to verify the finger print, if we dont do that we cant give the visa' so i was like 'glad its only this..thought u called me back to tell me the visa wasnt approved :) ' lol...he had to laugh and took the fingerprint and i was done!!

Thats all! Thought ill write it out good..so u all know how it goes during that day. I met another VJ member and it was nice to talk with her.

Make sure that u have document A (geboorte akte) and not 'uitreksel van het geboorteregister' cuz thast wrong. U need an international birth certificate. And u'll most likely need that at the poe.

Hope this helps and makes u feel all ready for the interview! So nothing about the I129 they asked....

    Jeanine

  11. Easter was good..actually still is good cuz in NL we have 2nd Easter and everybody is off then so im still enjoying my long weekend at the moment!

This is the week of my final visa interview...cant believe it!! Thursday is the big day

Wow that would be fast already January filers! Liz maybe you hear something soon already;) I def hope Peet will get approved now fast cuz she's a december filer!

Congrats Peet with the new job

    Jeanine

  12. Hey!!

I see you found out already how to open a topic haha.

About ur first question...its just as pushbrk says that the right side of that paper is for you and the left side is for daniel to fill in. So just fill in ur current employer in NL. You acutally arent supposed to be in the USA now right..cuz u cant have an emloyer in the usa yet because u just start the petition:)

Its always good to add proof. If u have them add pictures, always good. I see in the guide it says 'evidence of bonafida marriage' But teh options 1 till 4 u cant really do as i read...so id go for 5 or 6.

    5. Affidavits sworn to or affirmed by third parties havingpersonal knowledge of the bona fides of the maritalrelationship (Each affidavit must contain the full nameand address, date and place of birth of the person makingthe affidavit, his or her relationship to the petitioner ofbeneficiary, if any, and complete information and detailsexplaining how the person acquired his or herknowledge of your marriage); or

    6. Any other relevant documentation to establish that thereis an ongoing marital union.

About the question that it didnt get saved...or u cant change..idk. Should be possible to add things i think.

Good luck with filling in the paper and getting ur proof together!!

    Hopefully you can file soon!

    Jeanine

  13. The consulate will give you a map of the area, the Xray place isnt too far from the doctor, you can ask the doctors assistant that time how you have to go...(then she says...look at ur map haha)

I dont like it either when they take blood..the worst part is when i try to concentrate and they start the stupid questions to distract my nerves like where do u work, what work are you doing, where are u going in the usa, why are u going..etc then im almost like..stop asking me stuff..i try to concentrate on what u're doing, dont distract me! lol

I love this weather we have right now...hopefully it def stays like this over the weekend!!

  14. There i am with the story from yesterday.

Left around 8 in the morning w/ my parents, cuz they wanted to come with me:) that was nice.

Arrived in amsterdam at like 11, but because it was busy driving there i was a little late at the doctor, came there around 11:10 and had my appointment at 11. It was an old looking doctors office....

The lady at the reception ( i think its doctor Schulte his wife, but not 100% sure) opened the sealed envelope that i got from consulate/department of state. She asked for my passport and wrote the info on the papers, asked me to sign a couple and then asked for my vaccination record. She said she would fill in the papers while i was there.

Then i had to go into a room where they would take blood, and there were 2 ppl. The old doctor M. Schulte who said this is my son J. Schulte and he is going to take over from me. The younger doctor took the blood test (after i told him i wasnt a hero with this at all;) he said i have to say myself, im pretty good at taking blood..so ok..he was). then when that was done he told me to go into the waiting room and i waited there like 20 min  cuz more ppl were before me.

After a while the women brought back my vaccination record she said she was done with it.

Then i got called in again by that doctor and he did the check, weighted me, measured me, listened to my lungs, heartbeat and stomach. Knocked on my stomach, felt if my liver was in good spot. I had to do an eye check, he looked with a light in my eyes and then he said now we're goign to go over a checklist with questions. Stuff like did u have an operation, do u smoke, do u use medicine, ever though about suicide, are u pregnant etc etc. All the answers were no and he said..there u go. Oh yeah..also checked my blood pressure and he said its perfect;)

Then i was done at the doctor and they told me to go to medisch centrum jan van gooyen for my X-ray. I came at the reception and said i come for the chest Xray from the consulate, so the women said...go back outside the buidling and go to that building with the blue sign on the outside...wasnt really a building, was more a bit 'shed' . There were 2 doors;) and sign with 'ring for help' so i did..and a women came out one door and said...yes...so told her why i came and she took my paper ( doctor schulte gave me that...it also came out sealed envelope) and said im back with u later. Waited a while and then had to come in and she took the Xray..said it would b forwarded to doctor Schulte and he would bring all the results to the consulate.

When i dont hear anything within a week that means it was all ok and i passed the medical...so lets hope i dont hear anything this time haha!

Its def nothing 2 worry for!!

  15. Awww Sanne I know the sad feeling that you have now ur fiance left :crying: ! Its always the worst those first days alone, i hate going to sleep and hate going to wake up and have the lonely feeling! But soon it will be over!! It will be May 14 before you know! If u really want the date earlier and have plans in short time, I think you could contact the consulate about it, but then u have to have real plans i think, she asked me 'do u have wedding plans soon' but i didnt.

 Tomorrow I have my medical in Amsterdam....getting a little nervous already  This afternoon going for my wedding dress again, they made it fit..so we'll see how that looks! Curious!! :star:

Peet - U didnt hear anything yet? I really hope that soon u hear good news!!

    Have a good day all!
