    Thank you all for your quick responses, I also contacted the Canadian Consult and they told me , by air you must present a passport by land you do not...so I am gonna just fly to minot and then rent a car to cross over...

    I also live to far from a consult here in Illinois to get the expedited one , which will take about 3 to 5 days ..

    Airlines should not give too much trouble. They follow Canada's TIM which is issued by Border and Customs. Canada does require your passport to be valid upon arrival. Even if you are a Canadian national. However, the passport exemptions lists that canadian certificate of birth can be used as well as a US Green Card.

    My advice take all three, birth certificate, expired passport and GC. Explain to airline staff your emergency, if they are hesitant ask them to call immigration at your POE in Canada and ask for a reference to permit you to enter..(yes, we airline staff can do that.. we have internal telephone numbers for such a thing) and since you will have the required documents..you should not have a problem obtaining entry.

    I will also take all documents with me ...even have my old Id from Canada as well..

    Hi there, just found out today that my mother was put on life support, my passport has expired and don't have time to wait to get an expidided one...can I being a Canadian citizen travel back home with out a passport..will renew my old one in Canada to get back in the states

    We are getting the same stuff here, i am in Southern Illionois and yes it does suck!!! I want Spring!!!! Feels like i am back in Saskatchewan!!!

    We have alot of freezing rain right now, no snow yet...

    My poor dog is having a hard time going potty, he does the splits out there...LOL

    Hello all, my question is this....

    My receipt date is 02-11-08 I have been trying now since i recieved this to put my case on the USCIS webpage and always it comes back as not valid cannot find..

    How long before i can trace my case online?

    I always thought that once you had a receipt number you can track it online, i have never had a problem before everything else was no problem...

    Hello everyone, sorry that i have not been on here in some time...

    But it is that time again to deal with the INS...

    File Feb 6 mailed my packet off, check cashed Feb 14th, recieved my letter today...

    Case was transfered to California, which i find strange or is this a new thing that they are doing, i mailed everything to Nebraska??

    Since i am out of the loop these days, is California still faster??

    When i applied for my Canada EI all i sent in was my i-94 my K-1 visa ( photo copies ) and i recieved EI with no problems, also when the lady that was on my case told me once i recieve my EAD to photo copy it and send that in as well...Oh also sent in a photo copy of my application for my EAD just to prove that i did apply for it..

    I crossed at North Portal , from Regina Sask. I did not have to pay any 6 dollars there, also they were not to sure on what to do , but they did get out a manual and followed that, everything for me turned out fine, my package ended up in Chicago where it was suppose to go..

    How does anyone even know he was DUMPED by someone?

    GEEZ!

    We don't but it sure looked that way , it was in a parking lot with a ton of people around and a very busy street. We waited to see if anyone was calling or looking for the puppy, we asked people and so on. To this day no answers to the add that they lost a puppy.

    My MIL cannot keep the puppy after all, so sad, but she is trying to find a good home for her... So does anyone want a puppy???

    There is a girl at my work, she is nuts about animals like i am, she also has a friend that feeds and spays all the strays here in my town, they do great work also tries to find good homes for these poor things that are out on the streets.

    But there are so many people out there that just do not give a ###### you know, they all say , well it is only a dog or cat or whatever and just turn there backs and walk away... That just kills me how can you not love a animal!!!!

    In a way i do hope that no one comes forward for this puppy, because it did look like it has not eaten in awhile and was full of fleas. Trust me she is better off where she is right now, my MIL will give her the best home ever!!! She will have a friend there , they have another dog and also plenty of land to run and play!!

    Yes she is going to try to see if anyone is looking for there puppy, would not want to keep a puppy that belongs to someone else, she is putting it in the paper today.

    You would not believe how many people had there dogs with them at the fireworks i am like those poor things are going to be so scared, or maybe they are not afraid of loud bangs.

    Hi all i am so pissed off, last night me and my mother-inlaw and my nieces went to the fireworks had a great time there, but when we were walking back to our car, this little puppy comes out of nowhere, it was like he was dumped off in all that traffic and people walking all over...Poor thing was scared . So we stood around for a bit asking people and waiting to see if anyone lost a puppy. Nope so now it is with my mother-inlaw. I have a feeling she will be keeping it.. The puppy is lucky it found us there was no way in hell we would just walk away from it...

    But what do people do this???? It is a poor helpless animal!!!
