  1. We will be interviewing in Madrid soon, how did yours go??

Ours went very well. It was back in 2009. It was a very easy process back then. My husband is now a U.S. Resident without conditions and is now studying to become a U.S. citizen. Wishing you lots of luck on your interview. The immigration officers in Madrid are very nice and the interview went by really fast. Just take all your stuff in order and you'll be ok. :)

  2. CONGRATULATIONS TO EVERYONE!!!!! looks like a few of us July filers have received good news today!!!1    My husband also received an email today stating that his employment card has been ordered and on Saturday 08/29, we received the interview date for 10/07. For the others still waiting to hear some new. I'm praying for all of you and I'm sure something will arrive soon.

  3. OK EVERYONE!!!!!!!!! My check was cashed today!!!!!!!!!    Looked for the check on my online banking and there it was. Andddd when I got home from work, I checked the mail box and there they were........2 NOAs. One for the application for employment and the other for the AOS. What a relief.... Now it's await for the appointment letter for the biometrics.

Good Luck to Everyone else. Praying for everyone.

  4. HELLO EVERYONE!!!!! Congratulations to all who have received their NOA's. We're also July filers and we haven't received anything from USCIS Chicago Lockbox. We sent out our I-485 on July 6th and USCIS received it on July 8th. To this date no cashed check, NOA, or anything. :crying:

I'm starting to stress. I know that from here on out it takes patience, but being pregnant it's not very easy. Does anyone have any suggestions for us? Something that we should if we don't have word?

Your suggestions are greatly appreciated. Visajourney is awesome. It got us through the K1 visa process. Lots of Luck to Everyone!!!!!!!

    Hola!

Mucha SUERTE!!!! a ustedes tambien. Espero que reciban algo pronto!!!!

  5. Well I'm sorry to say If they actually received it on the 8th and your check hasn't been cashed it's probably on its way back to you :( Or maybe it's just lost in the process somewhere and it'll turn up and make its way through the system!

Ours was received on the 9th and check was cashed on the 14th...

My guess is you'll be getting your packet back in the mail this week.

I was thinking that myself too. I just wish they'll send something soon so i can stop stressing. Although, it took a week for me to receive the return certified receipt, from when they received it. Well, hopefully we'll have some news this week. Either for me to correct or a cashed check.

  8. My fiance is Colombian and we went through the fiance visa process in Spain. He was living and working legally in Barcelona. The process was easy. The people at the US Consulate in Madrid are Awesome!!! As for your fiance obtaining police certificates from Peru, he should be able to obtain them through the Peruvian Embassy in Spain. He should get that ASAP as for the Colombian Embassy in Spain takes 2 months to get them. As for getting documents translated from Spanish to English it is not necessary in Spain. Although it will be the US.

My fiances case was approved in a total of 4 months from time of filing to the day when we received his visa.

My fiance left Spain on May 5th to visit family in Colombia before coming to the US. He will arriving in the US on June 3rd.

I wish you guys the best of luck. If you have any more questions in regards to the Embassy in Madrid just let me know. I'll be more than happy to help you guys out.

  9. Hello, Everyone!!!!! I'm very happy for those who have their interview scheduled. Just wanted to let you guys know that my fiances visa was approved on March 4th pending medical results. On March 17th we traveled to Madrid to personally deliver my fiances medical results and on March 20th we had the visa in our hands.    The Embassy in Madrid was nice enough to give us the visa personally, something that is not usually done.  We celebrated with a nice dinner and a Flamenco Show.... Awesome!!!

My fiance will arrive in the US on June 3rd and we'll be getting married in San Francisco, California on June 12th.

    We are VERY HAPPY!!!!

Good Luck to EVERYONE!!! You are all in my prayers.

Joe, We are very happy to hear that your fiance has her interview at the end of the month. CONGRADALATIONS!!!!

  10. Hello Everyone!!! We wanted to share our good news with everyone. My fiance passed the interview. We have the visa in our hands. His interview was on March 4th, was approved pending medical results. Due to an illness he had in the past it was affecting the medical results. After further testing and traveling to Madrid 2 times, 2 weeks later we have the visa in our hands.      THANKS TO GOD AND THE HOLY VIRGIN MARY!!!!

The US Embassy in Madrid is awesome and very friendly.

Everyone is in my prayers!!!! Thanks for all your support and words of encouragement. (L)(F)

  11. Hi Everyone!!!! Well my fiances interview is next week and of course I had to find something to stress about. :girlwerewolf2xn: Here it goes. My fiance is Colombian and he'll be interviewing in Madrid (since he's living in Spain). On form DS-157 question 14, where it asks if he has any specialized training or skills with firearms, explosives, etc..... and on question 15, if he's performed military service, he answered yes to both. Being from Colombia all men at the age of 18 have to perform obligatory military service. Their he received responsible firearm training with a rifle. Will this cause a problem with his interview??? Has anyone who comes from a country where military service is obligatory have any problems with the interview??

Your help or words that can help me calm down would really help. I do the stressing for my fiance and myself. :help:

Thanks in advance and Lots of luck to all of you who will be interviewing soon, your in my prayers...
