  1. Here are a couple of 'TIPS' I have used successfully recently. Just wanted to share with anyone who may need it. Good luck! ~Jan~

TIP #1: How to track your case from NVC to Embassy:

When you know from NVC that your case was forwarded to embassy (mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case that was forwarded to embassy on March 20th 2009.

1 ~ Go to DHL TRACK

2 ~ Under track list, click on Track By Reference

3 ~ Type the reference in this format: EXP19MAR2009A, below that enter a date range and click track.

4 ~ A list of packages will come up and you can search for the city of your Consulate and it will show details.

This worked for me and I was lucky that there was only 1 for Casablanca.

    ----------------------------------------------

TIP #2: You can track the progress of your case after NOA2 & it has gone to NVC and/or Embassy by calling the Department of State visa line at 202-663-1225 options 1, 4, 1, 5, 0. This will get you to an operator. (M-F 8:30AM - 5PM Eastern time) Give them your USCIS or Dept of State (NVC) case number and they will be able to tell you if the embassy has mailed Packet 3 or 4, the interview date, ect...

**This is how I found out our interview date even before my fiance' has received his letter in the mail!**

    ----------------------------------------------

i'll be adding this page to my favorites on the computer so i can come back and use this info when our time comes, thanks for posting this!!! :star:

Not a problem! Once I found the information and used it for myself, I knew it would be helpful to others going through this journey as well. Good luck!! ~Jan~ :D

  3. Hello, I was wondering if anyone can tell me if the NVC or Embassy/Consulate will send me (the petitioner) a letter notifying of me of my fiance's interview date or is there only one letter about interview date sent to the beneficiary? Also, will the NVC know of the interview date once it is set by the embassy so that I can call the NVC to find that out? Thanks for any help. ~Jan~

The petitioner will not receive any notification from the embassy but you can track the progress by calling the department of state visa line at 202-663-1225 options 1,4,1,5,0. This will get you to an operator. Give them your USCIS or DOS case number and they will be able to tell you if the embassy has mailed Packet 3 or 4, the interview date, ect...

AWESOME info! Thank you so much!

  4. Once your case reaches the Embassy/Consulate it becomes the foreign fiancé/spouse's visa application so the notification is to him/her (not to the USC). Also, NVC will not know what date the Embassy/Consulate has scheduled for interviews.

You however may contact the Consulate/Embassy directly - check the Embassy Section (above) for best method to contact them.

Thanks very much for your reply and information!!!

  6. This may be a bit silly but Im completely baffled as 2 y there r so many copies of the G-325A when you download it do we both need to complete all copies each?? :bonk:

Yes, you need all 4 for each of you and All must be signed. You will notice at the bottom of each they are numbered and each go to a different location once they are received and processed. DO NOT leave them out or your packet will not be complete and you will have to do it again. Good luck and read all instructions closely. This should help...

  7. I know how you feel mstamiz2much - I filed at the sametime as you and still nothing yet for me either. My congressman hasnt even got back to us yet depsite it being 2 weeks since I asked him to enquire. And its true people not caring how uscis process cases out of order - but the people who don't care tend to be the ones (I said tend) to have there noa 2 very smoothly and effectivly and are probably already at the stage were there nearly about to enter. Its amazing how such a big government structure can't even organise a proper filing system on first come first serve basis. And I wonder if they know how many hundreds of lives they are messing up and around with because of it. The worst thing about this is the rediculous system in which they are being processed - I mean come on FEB PEOPLE ARE GETTING THERES without even bothering to complete january's or even some decembers! - good for them but I hardly deem that to be proper conduct on behalf of the uscis!

Fingers crossed extra hard for myself and everyone that this unjustice doesn't continue for much longer

I heard back from my senator's office a few days ago. He said that USCIS responded that my petition should be processed in the next 30 days... Okay, Im at like 4 months 21 days- in 30 days I will be pushing 6 months.. So I honestly think they just told him Im within the 6 month processing time still... He just turned it around to try to passify me...

Maybe your right, but at least you got a response and I bet now it will be sooner than 30 days! Good luck and keep your faith!

  8. I just checked my mailbox and got a letter from NVC saying they have our approved petition and will process and forward it to the consulate within a week. After the NOA2 comes, things really speed up! i'm hoping and praying everyone on here gets theirs this week. i called the embassy in Trinidad and asked them about processing times once they get it and was told six weeks, start to finish. i really cant believe after all this waiting , she will actually be here.

Hang in there guys...it seems Vermont is working in spurts, yours has to be coming..........

Just wanted to pass this info along to help. Good Luck!

Thanks so much! really appreciate that! i am amazed a how fast things are moving now after going at a snails pace before. I just got the hard copy NOA2 on Monday. Wed[ yesterday] a letter from NVC saying in a week the case goes out. I feel really good right about now, but i want the other filers on here to have that feeling too. Really hope some more approvals happen this week......

Yes I agree, everyone deserves to be together as soon as they can be. We all know how hard this process is to endure but WE WILL get through it and the future will be worth every second we've waited! Check my post just before this, I corrected something in the steps.

Also I want to say that having Visa Journey and the forums and information here, is truly a blessing for everyone. Bravo! to the person(s) who gave this asset to us!

  11. Hi brothers and sisters we all have that curiosity to know when our cases arrived at the embassy ,so i tried to find out how and it took me a lil while from what i been reading in some topics here they told how but when i tried never worked  but when i just tried simple thing found it worked and got the track # and where is our files now just follow those simple steps and you will get to

1- when you know from AVR that your case was forward to embassy ( mm/dd/yyyy) lets take an example case forward to embassy March 20th 2009

    2- go to DHL TRACK

3- then under track list click on track reference

4- put the reference in this shape EXP19MAR2009A and push track

now we seen its completed in 2oth but we searched in 19th yes because they schedule shipping day before so DHL know in advance when they will ship it so day before will be your exact day for NVC shipping your case to your embassy

i tried it this way and worked but i found 2 cases to cairo so which one is mine dosent matter as along as i can keep an eye on it for sure the month will be changing just the example above for explanation

    Good luck all :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

Thanks for the info, I did try this today for mine and Bingo, there is was. Someone else had given my other instructions that did not work. So, I really do appreciate your clarification and correct method. Good Luck to all!

  12. Just got home from work and had to tell everyone that we got our approval today! It was dated May 22. Also got our letter from NVC dated May 29. Can't believe it all came on the same day! We are so happy! My only problem is that they have not removed the attorney from my case that I fired. Anyone know what I should do about this? I have sent uscis a letter and the attorney did also.

CONGRATS! I really have no idea what to tell you about the attorney issue.

I have an idea, not sure if it will work but call NVC at 1-603-334-0700 and mention it, maybe they can tell you what you should do.

  13. Another day, another dissapointment. I told myself I wasn't going to check the mailbox unless its a Saturday. Obviously I know what a crackhead feels like because I'm having withdrawls if I don't check the mail. Then I go to get my fix with it only ending up with "junk" mail and no NOA2.

oh geeez, next week will be 5 months.

I know exactly what you mean, it is hard waiting and waiting and waiting. But your time is coming, keep your faith. The day you see the envelope that says from US Citizenship and Immigrations Services, you will jump for joy and it will be a great day. Ours just came on Saturday after being disappointed daily as well and it is such a relief. I know you will feel that soon also.

I got my letter in the mail on 5/30, the notice date was 5/23 and it was post marked 5/27. NVC received our file on 5/27 and I called them this morning and got my case # and then today a letter form them came dated 5/29 post marked 5/29, so they received my approval before I did.

Just try to keep checking and hoping. :goofy:

  14. YES, I AM SHOUTING[ CAP LOCKS ] I JUST WENT TO MY MAILBOX AND I GOT MY NOA2!!!!! LIKE 10 MINUTES AGO! I CANT STOP SMILING!!!!I WAS JUST TALKING TO MY LADY THIS MORNING AND SHE SAID " YOU KNOW, IF WE JUST STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT , IT WILL PROBABLY SHOW UP IN THE MAILBOX" . I TOLD HER THAT I WAS JUST THINKING THE SAME THING. I DID, AND HERE IT IS. She doesnt even know yet- tried calling her but she's at work and no answer. I can hear her scream already! I dont know if contacting my rep helped or not, but i did that last week. all i know is i got it and it feels FANTASTIC!!!!! To those of you still waiting, hang in there- you should be getting news soon. Man, i want everyone on here[VJ] to feel what im feeling now-joy-relief-excitement, etc. i really do....hang in there JimBeezy13, mstamiz2much and NatPatBen ...... Now on to the next stage.

    AWESOME NEWS, CONGRATS!!!! :D

  15. After the NOA2 is received, can the 2nd 'Letters of Intent', for the beneficiary to take to interview, just be the same as the first one included in I-129F packet with new dates and signatures or should the wording be different? Thanks for any feedback!

Updated letters are only asked for by a few consulates... Is Casa one of them?

That is true. Kiev is not one, we didn't need it. I was covering all the bases and it took maybe 30 seconds to produce.

Thanks, that exactly what I'm trying to do, cover all possible bases to be prepared.

  16. Yes it depends on the consulate. For Korean Embassy it was not needed. Although i made one just in case =)

But you should always double check with the embassy prior to the interview.

Thanks, but my question still is if the wording needs to be different from the first one we sent in the I-129F packet or if we just need to update the dates to current dates and just sign them again. I would rather he have the letters in hand in case they ask for them anyway.

Not sure to be honest, I am jsut trying to get things prepared in advance and I see this is one of the things on the checklist here on VJ to send to beneficiary after NOA2.

    Quoted below:

"What to send to your fiance(e) once the I-129F is approved (Receive NOA2):

    1. A copy of the entire I-129f package (that you made when you sent the petition in) and a copy of information that you sent back due to an RFE (if you received one).

    2. Send all originals of the documentary proof that you submitted for the I-129F to your fiance(e) for their interview at the embassy.

    3. Send an original letter affirming your desire to marry your fiance(e) and your continued support of the K-1 Visa. Sign and date the form. This will be similar to the letter you provided with the I-129F, but dated much closer to the interview (it will have most likely been several months since you submitted your I-129F).

    4. I-134 Affidavit of Support form. Ensure it is signed, with all required supporting evidence. Begin collecting the required information ahead of time, as it can often take several weeks to collect it all.

    5. You will likely need at a minimum (for the above form) two to three of your most recent pay stubs and a signed letter from your employer listing you job title, start date, your salary, and the status (full-time) of your position. Begin collecting these ASAP after your NOA2 arrives. You will also probably want to include other evidence such as your banking information and other assets as required by the I-134. Specifically you will need at least 2 of the 4 options mentioned in Section II-Supporting Evidence of the I-134. See this FAQ for more tips and ueful information on the Affidavit of Support Form.

    6. A copy of the NOA2 that you received in the mail.

    7. Proof of your ongoing relationship. This needs to be taken to the interview! Include photos, travel documents, emails, etc from between the time you filed and present (NOA1 date-now)."

  18. Me too and I am new too and up to date .............. HOWEVER I cant figure out how you can add date u met , date you visited so and so forth ... then I see everyone has it posted on the replies HOW HOW HOW do u get that on there....

    thanks

That information you can enter in your 'signature' and it will show when you post. Go to My Controls and on the left side look under Personal Profile and click on Edit Signature. Enter anything you want here and it will show as your signature automatically.

(Boy, I'm slow, lol, I see someone already told you how. Sorry I am giddy today and need sleep.)
