Help! I am new here. My fiance' is Jamaican and lives in Ochis Rios, Jamaica. He mailed me some passport photos to go with the G325, but they haven't arrived yet. I want to mail our packet this week. I found this on the USCIS website. Can I print it, and include it in my package?

Hi. I agree with the advice you have received. I think you should wait for the passport photo. You will already be stressed by the waiting...no sense adding to the pressure waiting for an RFE. I know one old poster waited for 5 months, only to get an RFE and have to wait even longer. If they didn't get an RFE, they would have been approved in the 5 months. Hope that makes sense.

You need to learn as much as you can about the process, your honey's country and culture. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Thank you for all your help! The passport photos arrived today. I think I got scared because I heard the Jamaican mail system was very slow. Well thank GOD that it only took 1 week to receive them. He mailed them to me on the 12th! Now, I can mail the package tomorrow! YIPPIEE!!!

I heard them speaking different to each other. No one ever clarified that it was called patois (thanx Hotlegz). I just thought it was called Jamaican. I don't know anything about the Jamaican culture. I'm sorry for not knowing. GForce just laughs at most of my questions. He said he will teach me when he gets home to me.

Right, the confusion in this thread began with poster number 4 who indicated there was nothing in the G325a instructions about passport photos. That's what prompted the response.

Only twice. Does it show? LOL. I know that I don't know anything about Jamaica (but my man). I didn't even listen to Bob Marley before my first trip. Now, I love his songs. I went back to visit his childhood home on my second trip, and I could actually feel his presence. It is weird because I didn't feel that when I went to visit the MLK site here in Atlanta. I guess because we took so many field trips as kids, that it doesn't have the same feeling when you become an adult.

Okay Beautifulbaby, I read your post about the passport picture, this was my solution, I had my husband to scan his passport picture and e-mail them to me. I save them on a CD disk, and took them to CVS, Walgreen, and had them to downlaod them as passport picture size on to the correct picture paper.

Thsi worked fine with me, and I didn't have to deal with FEDEX, ect.

I have learned the hard way about the Jamaica mail system. Does it matter which State in Jamaica? (I know it is not called States, but I can't remember what he called them) I mean like if he mails it from Montego Bay instead of Ochis Rios?

Air mail is regular mail - an RFE is a request for evidence - not a denial, just a delay -

I understand you on the money issue, but you have to know when to hold your ground and choose your battles - You are filing to build a life together, and your money is his money, visa versa - if you really want to get it filed ASAP, I would suck it up and send him the money to retake the pics and send them via Fed Ex, DHL, UPS, etc...

I had the same problem before I sent in my petition. It took a month or more for me to get his pictures so as others have suggested see if he will retake the pictures and send via Fedex.
