  1. hello everyone,

I have question for my daughter, oh well my stepdaughter.

My wife came here with K1 visa last September 2008 and got married October 2008. We haven't filed for AOS yet cos I got laid-off from my job before and just started to a new one. But we're planning to file next month or so.

Now my question is, what do we need to do to bring my stepdaughter here in the US? Can we still use the follow-to-join benefits?

Thank you in-advance for all the replies.

  2. hello everyone,

A friend of mine, ask how long can her son stay out of the US? The son got his US passport through CRBA and they're now in the states. They're planning to go back to Philippines this November. They just came here last June (not sure but just recently).

Any answers are highly appreciated. Thank you.

  3. here it goes:

I am married to US Citizen and I'm already here in the States.

I am a singlemom, have a daughter who is still in the Philippines, we're planning to get her in time.

She'll be in school this coming school year. My question is, is it ok to use my

husband's(USC) surname when she starts schooling? Or would it be a big problem in the future.

In her Birth Certificate, she's using my maiden name.

any ideas are highly appreciated.Thank you so much.

    God bless us all.

  4. Does it really have to be a Civil Surgeon? Can a family doctor sign the I-693 form?

Any replies are highly appreciated. Thank you so much.

Nope you have to use a "USCIS designated civil surgeon." GOOGLE away!

Thanks for the quick reply...that's really frustrating cos the nearest civil surgeon from my place is about almost 2hrs travel.

Maybe I should start calling for the payment from that office. Hope they won't charge me for hundreds of dollars. :(

    Thanks again for the reply..
