  1. SO it was an arranged marriage, thats good. I don't see anything is wrong with that. CO's in ISL knows how things work in families from Pakistan, even if they are in US for years. In Majority of cases its arranged whether it was arranged by a person from within the family or through some AUNTY :) . two people met online, did chat for months, US citizen came to pakistan spent few weeks or months, took pics, went back, kept chatting , kept the logs, had sent some gifts, emails, blah blah and then filed to K1. if they can believe such a romantic love story, they should also know that people especially from pakistan and india perfer arranged marriages.

Keep it in mind, always, NEVER EVEN THINK ABOUT LYING! not just infront of CO but everywhere in your life. if its arranged, its arranged. if you would lie, you would have to lie 100 times more to cover that one lie. so keep it simple OK.

Just keep faith in GOD, THIS SHALL TOO PASS. Good Luck.

ohh yess it was an arrange marriage mashallah through an AUNTY  ...im 100% in favor of arrange marriages after mine..hehehe well anyhow thanks you've been very kind with your words..yea i know i dont believe in lying..but i guess in frustration u can think of the oddest things to say.

  3. Any male coming from Pakistan have to go through AP, in some very rare cases it could be for few weeks or months but you can't dodge AP. The average time for AP is six months, no ten months because when you would email embassy at pakivinfo@state.gov you would get a reply that you don't reply to emails about cases that are pending for less than ten months...

aserene20 did you see news yesterday, Al-Qaeda is plaining to attack US from Pakistan:President Obama. i am also one of the victim of AP and its over an year now for me. but i have accepted it with open mind (now, because whatever they are doing, they are doing to protect their country. if i was one of then i would have done the same. but its also true that they gotta do more work to make this system move faster). where there is a will, there is a way, as you have seen in FBI name check backlog elimination. i guess there is no will right now to reduce the AP period at embassy espicially at ISL.

I hope and pray your AP won't be that long. Now its the exam of you patience and you love for eachother.GOOD LUCK.

thanks for your kind words..its very frustrating:( but anyhow my heart n prays go out to u for being stuck there for more than a yr...plz tell me one thing so i can have some relief ... do you think if i had told my husband to tell them at the interview that it was a love marriage it would've made a difference?? i mean i just didnt want to lie about anything...or is it his name that started some sort of red alert to them?? i cant think of anything...i couldn't even sleep last night. well you're right thats what we get for being part of a society that is purely built on corrupted self indulgent politicians. i guess i have no other choice than to wait n pray to ALLAH MIAN

  4. hii can anyone tell how long is the AP at islamabad taking for most people?...im soo upset and depressed..those A**holes put my husband on AP, excuse my language...he had his interview today and out of no where they slammed an AP on him...i almost had a nervous break down...im soo fed up and just done with this s***...well anyhow would love the hear some good news...its been rough for me..sorry if i sound aggressive..just want to be done with this whole process..its been forever..

  5. hello everyone..

the thing that i was dreading the most happened:((((((( i feel soo down and depressed right now ..well my husband had his interview today and was given the green slip and was told that he was being put on administrative processing...well i just dont know what could be the reason?? im just getting so fed up with this whole thing...can someone please tell me is there is anything that i could do ...i know everyone is going to say JUST WAIT...but im getting very impatient...had my first baby without my husband...:( and was hoping that he'd make it soon with us...but i guess not..:( someone please tell me what can i do:(

I'm sorry to hear that, but unfortunately pretty much all the males get put on AP from Islamabad and there is absolutely nothing you can do about it. However, on a positive note, it appears some of the males are clearing AP much faster in recent months, but most will say the average is still around 6 months. Are you able to go stay with him while his visa is being processed?

thanks for your concern fahad...but can someone plz tell me how long is the AP time that they are using for pakistani nationals?? i mean i know with all the things going on in pakistan ..:( which is unfortunate but i just want to be with my husband and thats all:( im having the biggest melt down right now...:( feel like crying:( well when should i call the congressman if i have to ?? or to call dept of state??? when should i do all this or do anything...

i have asked this question many times ..people plz help me out here a bit..

Just write a very straightforward letter.

One the I-864, the area where you enter your income, write in zero and then beside it write in 'please see attached letter'

    then

Write write a letter, something like:

    Regarding income/tax returns for 2006, 2007, 2008.

I have not included the last three years tax returns as I did not have any income in 2006, 2007 and 2008.

    Sign it

    Date it

    That's about it really.

    thanks alot for answering.

  11. hello everyone..

well i asked this before as well but noone answered..but can someone please elaborate on exactly what supporting documents to send in with the I864 and I864a other than just tax return ....for the joint sponsor do i need previous bank statements, employment letter along with the tax return??

  12. hi everyone,

well i have a question, i haven't been working for past few yrs because of schooling and other issues..im filing for the AOS using my parents income as joint sponsor..so what about me? what paper work should i send in stating that i didnt have to file because i didn't work? please please do reply ..i searched this whole site but couldn't find any answer on this...

also what other documents to send in other than I864A form and the recent tax return of my parents?

What does the sponsor do when he/she was not required by law to file an income tax return during a given year?

If you did not have to file a tax return, attach a written explanation and a copy of the instructions from the IRS publication that shows you were not obligated to file.

i got this from the us department of state website..what should i write in the written explanation ? and how do i get a copy of that IRS publication??

please if someone with a knowledge of this do let me know

    thanks

  13. this website very very helpful..i would really appreciate it if anyone can answer this question for me since im very confused..
