I have my original 2008 & 2009 w2's , But I can not find my original 2007 w2's. I can get a copy from my employer , but have no idea how to get an original copy of my 2007. I have read that for the I-184 I can send in photo copies . Will a photo copy (of my 2007) also be acceptable for the interview? Please help , Matt

Is there anyway to find out (ball park) how much the US government will raise the poverty guidlines in March 2010? I will be mailing my I-130 in this week , and I want to figure out what the new guideline will be. I make about $20,000 a year. Should I worry? Thanx

Because if you make under $8,000 (after SSD) you do not have to file.

I do not live in the same household with my mother (She lives alone). Half her income is from permanant social security -disability. She also works privately for a neighbor . She is allowed to earn a certain amount (above the social security-disability) with out having to claim it.She said the neighbor will fill out a sworn notorized letter stating -The date my mother began working for her and her wage. Any thought's on this? Do you think I will have any problem's?

Hi , I do not make the 125% over the poverty level (about $1,000 short). I am applying for the CR-1 Visa for my wife. My mother said she will co-sign for me. She is on permanent social security disability and works part-time (her yearly income is over the 125% level). Since she is on permanent Social security/disability ,she has no tax-returns. What will she have to show the goverment & will there be any problems (with her as a co-sponser). From what I have read her & I will both have to fill out the I-864a. Are there any other form's she will need to fill out. Also when will I need the forms from her? I am at the beginning of the process now (I-130 & G325a). Any help will be greatly appreciated. I would like to hear from VJ members on what thier views our (On which is better , K-3 or I-130). I have heard that as long as you meet the qualifications (For I-130) it is very difficult to be denied. Any truth to that?

Please disregard the above post . My question is : During the first steps in the (K-1 process) they don't ask any questions about your finances? If not , how far into the process is it before they do? NOA 1 or NOA 2 . I will be dealing with the Vermont office. How much time (ball park) will I have ,once I begin the process?

I might be mistaken ,but don't I have to send my I-134 in when I first start the K-1 Visa process? And would'nt I have to state my yearly income on the I-134? Like I said , I might be wrong , but I thought when first filing (The K-1 ) that I have ao send in the I-129f + G-325A + the Affidavit of Support . Or don't they ask about the Affidavit of Support until after your I-129f is approved? And how many month's does the I-129f approvel or Denial take to recieve?Basically what I am asking is :During the first steps in the (K-1 process) they don't ask any questions about your finances? What about my truck (It's old 1994 Chevy) and my motorcycle (1982 Harley sportster). They are both old but at least worth $1,000 together. My problem with a bank account is (I have bad credit) so if I opened up a bank account it would most likley be frozen. :-(

Then won't I have to wait until my next tax return (2009)? And then start the process that could take 6 month's to a year or longer? I drive bus, can I talk to my employer about offering her a job as a bus attended (sponser her).Would the US government accept that? I am totally lost here. I just don't know any one that would put their finance's on the line for a person they have never met before. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!

This is ######. A month and a half ago I made enough ,and now I don't. I just spent like 2 grand to go to see my SO (So that we could get photo's to prove we have been together, letter of intent from her,etc). Now I am going to see her in 18 day's (And I have to explain to her that I am no longer eligable). I can't find a sponser for her. And I do not think I could find a job/survivie in her country. I am very upset. I don't know what to do. $300 is going to keep me from being witht the woman I love.................................any advice?

I am starting k-1 visa now. In 2008 I made $17,900 (for the year).The poverty guidlines for 2008 was $17,500 .And the taxes I just filed the total was $17,900. I just looked at the guidlines and they now say for 2009 $18,212. Am I gonna get denied now? I can not find a sponser. Please help ,Matt

I just discovered ,that you have to submit tax returns for the last 3 years.The problem is-I HAVE NOT MADE 125% OVER THE POVERTY LEVEL for 3 years straight. I made it this year 2008 ($18,000) . But in 2007 I only made $15,500 .And in 2006 I only made $14,500. I do not know what I am going to do. I do not know anyone that will sponser my fiance for me. And I can't ask her to wait for me for 2 years while I work a part time job (to raise additional funds). And as far as collatoral all I have is a 1994 pickup & a 1979 Harley-Davidson sportster. I do not know what to do.Can any one help? Thank's , Matt
