  1. Hello to all VJ members!

Im basically new here, but i started reading visa journey since March. I read some forums and get some ideas about processing of our petition together with my daughter.

I have concerns like CBRA processing?

Me together with my daughter had an interview last April 21. The interview went well from the pre screening to CO. Until the CO noticed that my husband is already US citizen. She asked why we didn't file our daughter's CBRA for her to be citizen already. I told her that it takes time and we dont have much ideas about the processing etc. She continued typing on her pc until she said that my daughter is already a US citizen. She said that we have to go to the ACS (american consular services) to verify my daughter's citizenship.

At window 37, called my daughter's name and the guy in that window gave us instructions to go to ACS and he gave back our passports. Then we proceed to the ACS... from there... at window D, the guy gave us forms to fill up and said that gather all the requirements that we can and gave it back to the embassy. Forms are: for CBRA and for passport.

I have questions regarding the CBRA. Anyone ever had the same situation like us? My concern is the process of CBRA? How long does it take? also with the passports. Im supposed to submit all the additional requirements they needed next week cause im still waiting for my marriage index from NSO.

Btw, i forgot to mention that our case was expedited from NVC to USEM. Because my husband had an order for his deployment in July that's why im very much worried about the processing of CBRA. Can anyone help me and give me some inputs regarding our case? It will be appreciated. :)

Thanks in advance to all members who took time reading our case.

    Thanks so much!!! :)

Just complete all the requirements right away and bring it to USEM so you get your schedule for interview. Some applicants completed the whole process in a month. Just complete all the requirements and evidences to avoid delays.

http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwha003.html#support <-- I hope this will help you.

Since you were already married and if your daughter has the physical features of her dad i think theres a small chance that they will request for DNA Testing.

Just make sure you have all the evidences needed to prove the relationship of the child and her father. (Child's BC, your Marriage Cert., your family photos, etc.) And your husband physical presence in the US. (Military records, BC, passport etc.)

Just search for other CRBA experiences in VJ.

  2. Hello,

I don't know if for you it's totally different, but the number for my N0A2 was something like A0....... and my visa A............., they skipped the ''0'' on my visa, but for my papers i use this one on my NOA2-

And I received my green card.

Maybe your two numbers are totally different, it's a good thing to contact your embassy.

    Good luck

I think is a typo graphical error. one digit in the middle ,number 7 changed to number 1. I read threads that it happened to them too when they are already in the States. Sometimes the immigration officer in POE made mistakes in writing them too.

Im thinking if the embassy made a typograhpical error in printing my visa. I'm wondering how long will they pend my visa for correcting my A#.

  3. My Alien Registration Number in my visa is different from the A Reg. # given in the NOA2.

I think its a typographical error number 1 should be number 7. I recieved my K1 visa last March 21 and i just noticed that the numbers are different.

Should I call USEM before leaving the country for clarification? Will this affect my visa approval?

    You better calll.

    What number should I call?

  4. thank goodnes visa approved april 7th my fiance teresa tells me interview not difficult at all that medical exam days was more nerve racking. i do have question tho wonder how long before visa will be delivered now that it is easter time?

It depends on where your fiancee stays or resides. I live in cavite and i received myvisa after 3 days. Maybe you will have them within this week.

    Congrats!

  5. They accept co-sponsor but I think your co sponsor should be a close relative of your fiance.

Anyway when I during our interview we prepared a co sponsor, my fiance's father. But never used them. My fiance did not meet the required income allowance to support the whole household. The CO did not asked for a co sponsor instead she advised me to get a job when I get in the State since since I'm a degree holder. And got our visa.

  6. Passport - 7 working days, expidite

NBI Clearance - in Carriedo Manila, for those without namesake, clearance certificates are released within (30) minutes. For those with namesake, their applications will be subjected to further verification, hence you have to wait for forty-eight (48) hours before clearances are released. For those who are required to go to the Quality Control Section for interview, clearances will be released one (1) hour after the interview.

  7. hello guys! I hope you can give me an advice with my problem. My husband and I are going to the Philippines coming from SFO international airport. We are planning to stay there for 2 weeks and catch up with the Holy Week. The problem is... he doesn't want to lock his bags. He said that at the SFO airport, customs will check them without your presence and if its locked they will destroy the lock by force (is this true?). I don't know but i have never heard such thing. I came here from the Philippines and all my check-in bags are locked... they didn't destroy it. I saw they just scan it through x-ray... hell... they didn't even scan mine.

I'm worried because if our check-in bags are not locked... people might try to put anything inside like drugs, alcohol... etc.. etc... Especially i don't trust the Philippine Airport. There are so many incidents that unlocked bags are taken advantage of. I'm really worried. Is it really true that customs here just check your bag like open it without your presence? As if you could do something about it if they check it with you there.

Please give me some insights about this. Thank you!

Uhhmmmm...my fiance travel from SFO to HK then to HK to MNL connecting flight. He said that they don't destroy locks. They don't check bags anymore after the security check. If they destroyed the lock then inform them right away and you charge them for damages.

  8. They said that when the USEM sent you a letter to prepare all the requirements and scheduled for an interview just follow the guidelines on their website.

    http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwh3238.html - K1 interview preparation instructions

After they approved your application they will send you your passport with visa and the packet that will be opened at your POE. DO NOT OPEN the envelop. Just get you passport for CFO sticker.
