  1. Hi guys!! blessed sunday to all.. i need your help regarding our co-sponsor.. im under k1 visa petition and my fiance needs a co sponsor. could somebody tell me what forms do i need to get from my fiance aside from the form I-134? is it the form I-864 or I- 864a? pls need your help.. thanks to all :) godbless!

The I-134 is still used for some visa applications, including the K1. Good advice here is to also inquire at the foreign consulate about any particular additional requirements. Your fiance(e) needs the I-134 affidavit for the actual visa interview at the foreign consulate, so you will not be sending it with the I-129F petition. You will send the I-134 affidavit to your fiance(e).

Although the I-134 does not state minimum income requirements, there is a near 100% chance you will be required to show 125% of the poverty level for your household including your fiance(e) and any children. (See the link in the references section for Poverty Level guidelines). If you do not meet these requirements, you must still file an I-134, but you will need a co-sponsor who does meet the guidelines. The co-sponsor also fills out an I-134 affidavit.

You should make a COMPLETE copy of EVERYTHING in your affidavit package. If you decide to send or fill out the I-134 (instead of waiting until the embassy requests it later) make sure to get it notarized. You WILL use the I-864 affidavit when filing the I-485 application for adjustment after marriage, so you should begin learning about it now.

ok does make sense now.. i thought i still need to filled up i864 and give it to my fiancee when she get interview.. so i864 and i864a will use when visa got approve and after marriage.

    hi!

I-864 and I-864A are needed when she adjusts her status here in US after your marriage together with I-485(adjustment of status application form)

some say co-sponsor in manila embassy are not allowed, some say they do...in my case, i have secured a I-134 from my co sponsor (my husband's mom) but when i gave it to the pre-screener he handed it back to me and told me they dont need it.

better to be prepared, just in case they ask your fiance for it.

    good luck!

  2. hi!

im confused..we will file our AOS, do i have to undergo medical again and submit I-693 signed by a civil surgeon?i just had my medical before i enter the US and st. lukes gave me my vaccination record and cd for the x-ray. should i include this on the I-485 packet?

    your replies are much appreciated..thanks!

  3. How do you know it was approved?

The CO congratulated her. She was asked no other documents. She was given the pink slip.

    hi!

i had the same experience also....they will always say that the case was still with the CO and mine was even UNDER REVIEW..in my case they told me to wait for 6 WEEKS...i was so stressed and was crying everyday then because i already had my ticket (advice:dnt buy ticket until you havent receive your visa yet) ... but my passport with visa arrived in 6 WORKING DAYS.. your fiance will receive a text from air21 telling when it will be expected to deliever.. just be patient.. all is worth waiting for :)

nothing is stronger than prayers

That's what they said when I called them.. call back in 6 weeks if we haven't received the visa.

Unfortunately we booked her flight already(lesson learned). It's been 9 working days for us so hopefully it will come soon.

    Thanks for sharing.

Btw, what time does the text message usually sent?

    hello!

air21 texted me monday morning 11:15am (i saved it hehehe) and delivered my visa the following day and my flight was saturday :)

dont worry much, the typhoon and flooding might caused the delay... cheer up!

  4. My fiancee passed her interview (pink slip) on the 25th of September but still hasn't received her visa as of Oct 8th.

I called the embassy and said that the case is still with the CO.

It's not under admin review but why is it taking this long?

Anyone here have the same experience?

  5. hello!

we're filing AOS this week and just getting worried since my husband has lack of hours at work (due to recession) we're planning to include his mom as co-sponsor..my mom-in-law needs to fill up I-864A right? what is the basis for the poverty level, was it last year? just a bit confused..

    thanks!

  6. Hi,

We are gathering all the papers to send the AOS. They ask for the most 6 recent paystubs. Unfortunatly 2 (the 2nd and 3rd) are missing and his accountant told him he cannot make any copy. Is it ok if we send some others that will be older of 6 weeks?

    Many thanks

    hi!

just wanna know who asked you to submit the recent pay stubs? am i missin somethin' in our application?

    thanks!

    hi!

    salamat po! :)

just be confident and know evrything that was written in your submitted documents esp. dates (bdays, when did u first met?, his work, his adress. their questions were basically derived from the forms/papers i gave to them. your answers to the Filipino pre-screener should tally with your answers to the CO..in my case, the CO asked if i intend to work as a nurse in US and i answered him yes, eventually if ill have my license and work permit there. just answer what is bein asked. there is no correct or wrong answers, but truthful and honest ones. i also submitted my future in-law's affidavit of support (as my co-sponsor) but it was given back to me and told me my frankie's financial docs were enough...

forestrose, luckymom, TimandJoyce, star1207, Justchillin -------Thanks a lot! :)

  10. Hi! I'm Richard, a Filipino citizen & based here in Manila. I was granted a divorce when my Filipina-American wife filed it in the US few years back. Fyi, we got married in the Philippines & were together for only a year. Right now I am currently in a relationship with this girl who's an immigrant from Canada & she wants us to get married there. Here is my concern, is it legal for me to get married in Canada as I am still not yet anulled in the Philippines though I already have the divorce papers with me.

Your reply will be highly appreciated. Many thanks.

    hello there!

i assume you were married with your ex-wife in the US so u had the divorce paper right? so if you were also married here in the Philippines but no anullment was arranged yet, still, you both are legally married (in the Phils) though u have the divorce paper. ur marriage in the US is legally terminated but ur marriage here in the Phils is not yet legally void. Since u said you are a Filipino citizen, the canadian government may ask a Certificate of No marriage or Proof of termination of prior marriage from you.

file an anullment case, habang maaga. if you and your ex-wife has no comminucation or hasnt seen each other for a period of 5 years now, it will be easier to grant. di po ako lawyer hehehe...but that was my lawyer advised me to do before.

hope this helped. good luck! :star:

  11. hello!

just relax...the 90 days they're saying is the approximate time frame (its scripted  ). as per our case, we got our NOA2 May 18 and the NVC received it May 28 and my frankie received the hard copy June 10.. just be patient, when u have the NVC case # u will have to wait again till the embassy receives your case #... its a long journey, but hey, relax, at least we're almost there!

goodluck and again, be patient and relax! :star:

  12. hi!

just wanna ask what did u ticked on questions # 32 (Do You Intend To Work in The U.S.?) and # 33 (Do You Intend To Work in The U.S.?)

i was planning to continue my masteral course in nursing in US but not yet sure on what school to enrol.

    thanks!

  13. I have a question, do I really have to have NOA1 and NOA2 with me if i undergo medical? Also, forgive my ignorance, is the appointment letter and the confirmation the same? If not, whats the diff? Thanks!

i have the same question, is the NOA1 of primary importance? we ddnt get the hardcpy of our noa1 coz it somehow got lost in the mail and uscis wont give us another copy they said they don't do that; but fiance's going to have them send us a suplicate copy once he is done with his mission in laos; he really can't call uscis while there anyway, so will have to wait.. but yes, is it really needed?

bring both your confirmation letter and appointment letter (if you have). the guards will ask primarily for the confirmation letter and put a stamp on it, which you will show also at the USEM. they will ask if you already have an interview date, and then they will ask for your appointment letter. have them photocopied especially your passport, since they will not return it to you.

    goodluck and God Bless! :star:

  14. Hello!

u can use it 24/7 hehehe..tell them to buy the sim (Sun International Prepaid Sim) at sun business center or in any authorized agents...and no joke piso lang talaga txt sa US, canada and in some countries. saka un nga less than 5pesos lang ang calls. ung PLDT budget card 100peso sya and 3pesos/minute lang. ung globe tipIDD card naman is 2.50pesos/minute but round off na sya agad to a minute kahit ilan seconds lang nagamit unlike sa PLDT budget card, ifafraction ung 3pesos sa seconds used...

    hope this helped RonMay

  15. Hi!

Since nagendorse na si Mariel hehehe i use Sun International Prepaid Sim. just $.10/min or P4.80/min and good thing is i can send my frankie texts for only P1/txt.

I also use PLDT budget card (P100) almost everyday ata, sometimes ung 3 kulang pa sa amin lalo na ngayon malapit na interview date ko.

chat-medyo madalang, once a week lang maybe.

Letters/cards-we send each other love letters and cards almost twice a month
