hey, thanks for the comment on my post. if your husband lives in Karachi and have applied for a police certificate and is taking long to obtain it, here is where you should ask him to go, Main University Road near Urdu Science College, Same building as Nosh Computers and Asghar Bawarchee, there is a US and UK immigration office in the same building by the name of Roshan Enterprises. they charge about Rs. 3500 to Rs. 4000 or somthing and you will have the police certificate in your hand in a week's time guaranteed!! best of luck!

Could someone please help me here! The situation: my wife has her immigrant visa interview on the 17th of March which is Tuesday in Islamabad, Karachi. I understand due to major rally's and riots going on in Islamabad they have announced to suspend all consular services and that the embassy would be closed for the two days 16th and the freakin 17th. Visa Interviews would be rescheduled as per the Warden notice on the embassy's website. Could someone tell me how soon do they rescedule the interview next? My wife's in Islamabad, she originally resides in Karachi which is a 2 hour flight from where she's at right now. Has someone come across a situation like this before? I need to know so I can let my wife know to either stay in Islamabad or come back to Karachi. It also says on the website that the embassy will contact the immigrant visa interviewers and let them know of their appropriate rescheduled days and times, problem is the number I provided the embassy is her home phone in Karachi. I have already emailed the embassy in Islamabad and NVC in the US here to let me know of the details or the rescheduled interview as well. Is there anything else I could do? or what should I do next? HELP PHUUULeEEEeeZ.. I would really appreciate it!

oh, herndon is where Dulles airport's at so you would be good with dulles airports... well it's in sterling which is a 10 minute drive. yahan aney k baad you have to atleast have 3 months to take care of all the paper work, social security card, green card etc to have in hand and then ask for special permission from the immigration to leave the states for more than the allowed time which is 6 months. i'm currently in college, what's ur question...?

the joint sponsor "DOES NOT" have to pay the processing fee again. all you have to do is have a joint sponsor here in the US fill the form and mail it in to NVC. for more information i'll give you NVC's direct number along with extension. 603-334-0700 extension# 1 then ext# 5. talk to a representative and ask them directly to clarify this question even more. they are very helpful.

it all depends where in VA do you want to go, BWI is baltimore so forget tht.. VA has 2 main airports where our desis's usually come to which are Dulles International Airport (IAD) and the other one is Ronald Reagan International Airport (DCA). This is what I would've done, if your comming from karachi like i did 5 years ago to Virginia (VA). Book a flight with Qatar airways, "sab sey sukuun ki flight hai" first stop at DOHA for about 4 hours then direct to Dulles Airport.

i honestly think this wont be enough for a proof... also try using www.oovoo.com your husband or wife can cal you using this software from pakistan, from their pc to anywhere in the US for .01 cent a minute. holla

i'll be honest with you, your a lazy dude. this is how i upgraded and called them everyday eversince i sent in the email along with a scanned copy of my naturalization certificate, called them and told them to upgrade my case and mailed them a copy of my certificate, within three days my case was upgraded. DUDE you need to follow up with them people, if you dont, jani they're not in a rush to call your wife here, you are.. it's up to you. I called them twice a day to ask status on my case, my case got sent to NVC and I completed the case at NVC in just 15 days and that's a guaranteed record!! holla

hey you might wana get the TB test done as well, you never know. We got some serious Son of a b**ches up in the embassy in ISB. If it is inexpensive and easy to get, dont take a risk and get it done.

form DS 230 is also known as the Application of Immigrant Visa. It is filled by the beneficiary, after the form is filled, the beneficiary may attach the required documents such as, passport copy, 2 photographs, marriage certificate, birth certificate, police certificate and mail all this in to the NVC here in the US. Meanwhile, when the beneficiary is getting their paperwork ready to mail in along with DS 230, the petitioner may get their Affadavit of Support ready and mail it in. (Ofcourse your going to get these forms in the mail after you have paid the fees for both of these online, $470 in total). this is the last step after which, if the documents are all right, the NVC may complete the case and issue a Appointment letter. NVC issues appointment's in the 2nd week of every month for the following month. When the interview date is selected they will let you know, or you may call and ask them about it, and get the beneficiary to get their medical done because they will have to take their medical package with them at the time of interview.

first of all whenever you need help with what documentaions are required for a particular case your applying for: always call USCIS or NVC and tell 'em all the details about ur case and tell 'em that your mailing these documents, do i need anything else? they'll tell u right away and it's ur job to make sure all the documents are present and are according to what they tell you. You application will never be rejected, and that's my guarantee! tht's what i have been doing for my whole nanyaal's immigration case for 15 people together which completed along with successful visa's in hand about 4 years ago and my wife's immigration case which is in progress today. A lawyer is never needed for these immigration cases, they instead cause AP's and rejections of your case due to a document turned in incorrectly or form filled in incorrectly. anyways, getting to the point: i did investigate online to how long would it take if someone's rejected on the visa interview date, the officer who rejects the case says minimum time is 4 weeks and there is no maximum time to it and this may take years as well. What they do is run a few extra background checks and may ask you for a few more documents. I've seen people getting rejected: longest it has taken so far is 6 months.

First of, Congratulations, secondly, a lot of people are going to tell you different cities to move into, which may make it confusing for you to decide and get sidetracked with a lot of ish.. My suggestion to you is, research about cheap appartments etc online on google search, ya phir try www.craigslist.com, if your parents company is in new york, i would suggest you move to a state that is't too far from new york so if you have to go back and forth to the state, you would'nt have to worry about it. Try searching apartments in New Jersey, Virginia etc. also dont just search for apartments, you'll be new here, apartments are expensive, you should search for house owners that want to rent their basements etc. baki any sawall feel free to ask yaro... allah hafiz

Your parents AOS will work, no confusion, just fill form I-864 and not the I-864EZ. And mail it in. I'm sure your parents make more than that of what the poverty line says. Fill a form and put in both your parent's income. If you still nervous to do so. Call NVC directly at 603-334-0700. Talk to the rep. and ask him/her the question. Aint no1 here can answer it more accurately then them. There lines are always busy so try calling them between 13:00 and 15:00 Eastern Time. Thanks
