    Quick question: Did you sign up for e-mail/text notification; and did you receive that notification before the letter in the mail?

    Hey there, yes I did sign up for both email and text notifications but received neither. I was actually in Chicago when the letter arrived and my wife called m very excited :)

    It'll happen for the rest of you soon, I can feel it!

    I'm late to the party having not been on the forums in such a long time. They received my paperwork on October 1st, but I think I'll be behind you all since my brother had an aneurism a few days before my biometrics, so I had to postpone it to November, then my next appointment happened to be the day of his funeral when I was in England again. So I didn't have my biometrics appointment until December 3rd. I have to say though, that both times I re-entered the USA with my expired green card and letter confirming my right to live and work there, were absolute nightmares involving extremely rude customs officers and long wait times.

    Ah well.

    Ah, I'm so relieved that the long saga of biometrics appointments is coming to an end :) Really happy for all of you. As for me, I checked my email last night, and lo and behold:

    Application Type: I485 , APPLICATION TO REGISTER PERMANENT RESIDENCE OR TO ADJUST STATUS

    :D So happy! Got a job now too - just need to get my drivers license and I'll feel like a normal, functional human being!

    I went today to the USCIS office to get my fingersprint done .It was really fast .It took about 2 minutes .

    And guess what ? I just checked my case online and it says that they ordered my EAD Yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

    I don't know if they were waiting to take my fingersprint or what ?!! Even if so i dod not expect it will be that fast .

    I hope that i will hear some good news about that green card !

    Really happy for you, they did the same for me just over a week ago. It arrived yesterday :) Still no movement on the gc, but the pressure is off now thankfully.

    I'm feeling really bad for you bullwinkle, it doesn't seem right at all that they are making you wait for so long. Really hope your senator pulls the necessary strings.
