yeah, IO did remember me. when IO saw me said " surprised to see u back so soon". my I-751 interview was 3 months ago.Went and applied for my US passport today.

I had my interview yesterday, same IO who did my interview at the removal of conditions interview. Passed the interview and took the oath today, I am done with my journey with USCIS and now I am home free. Thanks God for that.

You have to go to any passport issuing agency, most common is post office and apply for the passport. I suppose after oath you have to get a passport in order to travel since at the oath ceremony they take away your green card for the certificate of naturalization. It takes about 2 to 3 weeks to get a passport if you order it thorough expedite service. For more info visit

When someone goes for a citizenship interview does the IO ask the questions verbally or gives him multiple choice questions on a paper. like If someone asks me what is the bill of rights I might not answer it but if I am asked the same question with four possible choices of answers I might get it right.

I sent in my N-400 this March, while my I-751 is still pending, but I forgot to attach the copy of my extension letter with my application. My fee check has been cashed and I m scheduled for a biometrics next week. I read in this forum that N-400 application is rejected without the copy of an extension letter, but I m not sure if my case is going to be rejected or not because my case status says " Received and pending". I m confused and worried. If someone has been in the same situation please help me. I'll appreciate it.

Somehow they managed to send the ten year cards between the time we applied for the N-400, but very close to my wife's interview date. Did you also send in copies of your one year extension notice? Without that, your expired greencard is worthless.
I actually read about cases where the certificate of citizenship was issued before that ten year card came in. That I-751 still seems to be the slowest application to be processed by the USCIS and still is the most stressful period for the applicants. Can wait for USC, but without a current valid greencard, you are as good as dead.
Is this true? I did not send the copy of extension letter when sending my N-400 application, just the copy of my expired green card. Are they going to reject my application for citizenship?

Can anyone get approved for citizenship with a pending I-751 application? I filed my I-751 in Feb. 2008 and in march 2009 I filed N-400, my I-751 is still undecided after an interview in march 2009.

I was at uscis for the removal of conditions interview with my wife. we were interviewed separately and told that there were some discrepancies in our interview and we were asked for few other documents to establish that the marriage is not a fraud. I sent the every asked thing after 3 days. does anyone in this forum know how long will it take to make a decision on our case.

I sent my N-400 package to Arizona location with signature delivery confirmation. Do they provide the signature delivery confirmation or they will reject it?

I dont have a middle name, should I leave it blank or write N/A. I heard somewhere that if you do it USCIS will put N/A as your middle name.

We never got separated we just got the divorced. Yes we do have a way to get letters with no problem.
You need to a new I-751 application selecting option "d" in part 2. Follow the link:

If you don't file again and you are approved without an interview, you might face problems when applying for citizenship.

Hi Everyone! I finally received a notice in the mail from USCIS (Milwaukee Office) for my interview appointment. They even misspelled my name on the letter but its not a big deal. The only thing that really concerned me is one of these requirements that I have to bring on the interview.
This is just an excerpt from the letter (lists of requirements to bring with me)
"This notice, your spouse, your passport, your alien card, and "2 RECENT PHOTO" (specifications may be obtained from website)... and some evidence to prove the marriage etc...
Are they refering to a photo of my husband and I together, if so they should not limit it into two right? Or are they refering to a photo with specific size like a passport? I was browsing their website all day but I could not find the specification of this photo. And besides photo with specific size is not even included on the list of the requirements in filing I-751. Was it a mistake? Does anyone has any idea about it, or can anyone provide me the link of the website where I can find the specs?
My interview is scheduled next month, any idea or suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

How long it takes to get a passport through expedite service?

I know that on the US travel website it says 2 to 3 weeks for an expedite service but I was just wondering if someone has the experience of getting a passport through expedite service and know for sure how long does it take in real, and also if someone know after how many days I get my certificate of naturalization back and if comes through regular mail or expedite mail since I paid for the expedite service.
