  1. Alicia passed her medical examiniation at St. Luke's. We are both overjoyed, celebrating and giving thanks to God. On Friday I sent Alicia money for the medical exam and hotel etc. and emailed scanned copies of the NOA2 and the NVC letter with our MNL number. She checked into the hotel on Monday for Tuesday and Wednesday medical processing. I called the USEM on Monday morning at 8:00 to schedule the interview and got right through without any problems. Scheduled the interview for September 9th and they sent Alicia a confirmation email. Unfortunately Alicia did not have access to a computer to print off the email. She had no problem whatsoever getting into St. Luke's but she did say during the process they asked her for her interview appointment letter. Anyway she finished up with four vaccination shots on Wednesday and they kept her passport....Halleluiah. I am now working out the finances and logistics to go with her on the interview. Visajourney has been an invaluable resource for us and we would not have made it this far this quick without VJ...thanks for being here.

  3. My status on USCIS website: Current Status: Approval notice sent and the subject line for the email reads: Case Status Information for Receipt Number EACxxxxxxxxxxxx. Hope you hear something soon.

That gives me a lot of hope, thanks for sharing. Now that you have gotten the NOA2 what does it say on the USCIS website for your case status?

What is the subject line in the email they send you?

My NOA1 was 03/06/09. I checked the USCIS online this morning at about 8:30 am and my updated status showed today's date 07/30/09. That was my first touch since receiving my NOA1. I received the NOA2 email at 12:45 pm. I was in a meeting so I did not see the email until about 2:30 pm. This morning I just assumed they were at least looking at my petition. I just feel like we are all going to see a lot of approvals in the next few days...just think when was the last time we have 4 approvals out of VSC on the same day. That has to be a very positive sign. Get ready.

I am at work now and just received an email from USCIS...We have received our approval. I just called Alicia and woke her up in the middle of the night to share the news...I am not cruel, I warned her no matter what time when I found out that she would be the first person I called.

Pop Pop Fizz Fizz Oh what a relief it is.

It appears that the March Petitions are starting to roll out...To my fellow March Petitioners......Soon and Very Soon.

I thank God for bringing Alica and I together and I give thanks to God for continuing to watch over the process.

  6. As a fellow Vermont Service Center petitioner (March 6, 2009 NOA1), I have been following everyone's frustration with how long the process is taking. The comments I have read include: Someone that has filed after me has been approved.; California Service Center is zipping along while we are at a standstill; Contact your Congressman and voice your concerns and have them contact USCIS; I called the Customer Service line to no avail; etc.

I have also been faithfully watching Igor's list and watching my projected date go farther and farther out. There are two things that I have noticed about Igor's list the past few weeks and they are there has literally been no action for the March filers and that all the previous months are really starting to fill in. Here is my observation; maybe with all the attention (complaints) from petitioners, congressmen, feedback from customer service tapes, comparisons with CSC just maybe VSC has decreed among it officers...."We are under close scrutiny, everyone's complaining and we are going to clean up all the old petitions that have been hanging around before any more new petitions are approved."

So now VSC is diligently clearing the backlog but those of us who have been so frustrated now have to wait even longer while they eliminate the backlog. I imagine that the petitions that are still pending require a little more attention then the other petitions that were submitted around the same time frame. Personally, I am not excited about that possibility, but I would not necessarily say it was unfair, especially if you are one of the petitioners who filed prior to March 2009. Actually, seeing those who have filed way before me finally receive their NOA2s helps me greatly with my own patience.

This is actually my very first post and I hope it helps those who have been waiting so patiently and some no so patiently for their NOA2s.
