thank u marm, ya we are way over the moon, but trying to calm down a bit.....we want to save a little of the "over the moon" feeling for the moment he actually gets here right here- with us....btw our our baby is turning one on the 16th of this month, so maybe she is getting her daddy as the blast......

:dance: Alhamdulillah my hubby got the visa this morning, when he went to take his fingerprints..... i wasnt even expecting it , maybe i was tooo scared to expect anything....they said that he needs to get his finger prints dont for the second time and after he took his finger prints, only right hans and not even the thumb....hehehehe then they said can you wait for 45 mins my hubby was about to say no coz he has work then he said ok yes i can..then they said welcome to usa, you got hte visa..........wowwwwwwwww..... and my hubby he called me and then he started telling me ####### abouth is work and then he got late and then he went there and the embassy was closed the gate he was called at and then they wont let him in which were all true but he came to teh point sooo late and and he made me so nervous but in the end it was all happy coz after getting hte big news it all seemed funny.....thats what he was trying to do.....but i am sooo hapy this is the happiest day of my life......every one please pray for us....its been a long hard journey pray so all goes well at the point of entry couldnt have done it without you vj ers...................i feel like i just graduated here lol!!!!! :dance: :dance: :dance: time to jump and celebrate............woooo hoooooooooooo :dance:

just got an update, the ambassy called my hubby yesterday and called him in for finger prints on thursday... dont know whether to be excited or not, but at least thats an update....wont get excited before my hubbysays VISA IN HAND.... im praying for you marm, hold on some thing good is there for you inshAllah............after all this patience....there has to be a reward......we are praying for u...pray for us toooo.....

It is always good news when they are working on your case Hope it won't be long now, InshaAllah soon he will have his visa in hand. Thank you for keeping us in your prayers too (F). Just a question...your hubby's fingerprints were not taken on the day of his interview at the embassy? I am just wondering why they would ask him in again for fingerprints if they already took them...

Hi everyone,

Had some issues getting the docs back to embassy as my fiance was confused. He ended up sending the requested doc special delivery and then phoned curior for his passport. So the two items arrived separately.

So just the info for anyone wanting to loosely compare their expected times.

Intreview- July 7th

Sent requested translated doc- July 20

Sent passport- July 23

Items received (not sure when but DOS finally said the emabassy had everything they needed and the visa was in the final stages, whatever that means)- Aug 5

Curior has sch delivery- Aug 10.

We are rather skeptcal (and after reading horror stories of typos on visa) to make plans and celebrate too much yet but come Monday, we will be on top of world.

Marm- by the way, I am mostly a lurker here but not a day goes by where I don't think and pray for you and your beloved to be together soon. I can't wait for the day you post the good news update.

We have contacted Senators/Congressman but no response yet. Also, we still have not gotten any replies from the US Embassy in London. But a DOS rep has given us this new information:

A DOS representative told me while checking the status of my fiance's case that "The US Embassy in London has not transferred his file to the next database for printing. It is still in the first one." When I asked what that means, she told me that when they transfer to the second database, then it is in queue for printing. His case is still at the US Embassy in London, but it is yet to be internally transferred."

What does this mean?

I think the officer approves and sends on to the visa printer station who does the visa and gives to courier. So it probably means you haven't been approved. Either they are waiting on name checks (AP) or it's sitting there because they are waiting on the passport, which could be sitting somewhere else and they failed to match up. It is maddening and I know you've wished you could just go in and find your stuff, put it together and hand it to them. I hope the congress people will make a timely request to them and spur them on to at least give you a logical answer.

marm, how do u call the embassy and talk to dos? which number isit? is it the number that you have to pay 1.20 pound per minute that number????? i have been trying to call them but they say that is the only way i can get to know by the paying phone number to get any info......i am soo confused...which one is the embassy extortion line?

Finally, received a text at 4:10pm from SMS saying my passport is on it's way back!

Time line of sending additional documents

1st June - Interview, approved pending Birth Certificate of Co-Sponsor

5th June - Sent additional documents via SMS

10th June - Embassy acknowledges it has received the additional documents

15th June - Embassy prints Visa and received text from SMS saying it will be delivered on 16th June.

Total processing time (excluding delivery time) approx = 3 working days.

Yaaaaayyyyyyyy!!!...time to book the flight! :dance:

how did the embassy acknowledge that htey recieved the documents, because we have sent ours and they dont give any info over teh phone we are waiting for two weeks and still dontknow to even find out if they recieved the documents ....or not...

marm hang on it must be coming soon. my hubby gave in his passport and police certificate on 23rd on july, still no news here.....keep praying for us and your self, you are in our prayers too....

yes he can be your co sponsor, and he will have to give his own i186 and you will still have to give your too. if he lives in teh same house then he will be household member but you you live seperate then its not houshold member ...hope that helps....

Due to circumstances beyond my control...no wait scratch that

I am beginning my clinical rotations for psychiatry by August 1st so I will not be able to update the interview list or keep track of approvals/changes/etc.... so unfortunately I will no longer be "in charge" of the Interview List as of Saturday August 1st, 2009.

It would be great if someone could come along and take over the responsibility...mind you its not written in stone that you HAVE to be punctual about it, but just someone who acts as a reference for the interview list would be nice...

Anyone can make updates or add changes or interview dates by doing the following:

Just follow the format on the interview list that is already set: By clicking "reply" on the post with the most recently updated interview list, you can delete the words: [qoute] from the beginning of the post and [/qoute] from the end of the post to make it a new post. And then follow the template to either:

Add interview dates: Just type in the interview date in the format shown and high-light the entire entry and click on the blue color in the color options menu tab.

Add the shiny red approval star: On the bottom of the interview list is the "Legend" which tells you that the red star=APPROVED. Just copy the entire link for the red star and paste it next to the name of the interviewee who has recently been approved.

Everything else is pretty much self explanatory in terms of typing in new information/deleting information/changing colors.

I hope this helps anyone who is interested in taking over the "Interview List" or just as a reference to anyone who would like to enter/delete/add changes or dates.

Feel free to decide what to do about this issue, of course!

ETA: I will be updating the list until July 31st. August 1st is when I won't be available.

hi, my hubby had his interview on june 11 and his was approved but was pending additional documentation. he just subbmitted those on friday july24th....how long did it take for the embassy to send back your passpoort with teh visa in it once you submitted the pending documents...anyone out there with similar experience.....plzzz share.......hope you alll good luck those whose interviews are coming up...

my hubbies interview is on the 11th june.....im sooo nervous, i cant actuallly relax till that day and of coarse without know that his visa was approved, need lots of prayers...please pray for us.....good luck to all of you have your interview coming up....

hey guys, sorry i cant keep up wit the posting, im sooo busy with work work and buses ughhh....but my hubbies interview is coming up in 18 days from today....the medical is done he just gets a vaccine on coming tuesdays, gs i am so happy for you and for all who got the visas big good luck for those whose interviews are coming up. i am going to print our pictures tomorrow and send them all out on tuesday hopefully...we dont have too many photos, when we were engaged, i didnt hav a camera, when we had our official marriage i was too excited to remember to take pictures...we didnt have our wedding yet....though we are married....this worries me a bit, i do have some pictures, of our honey moon, that is kinda all i got. i was shy about pictures all the timeand now im worried about this issue. but im keeping my fingers crossed and hoping for the best....need some prayers out there for us.......

hey guys i have a question, my hubby is a student in UK and he is having his ir1 interview in london. the interview is on june 11. he plans to fly to bangladesh to see his mom and come come back to uk to attend his graduation ceremony on 9th july. and hopefully if he did get the visa on 11th june, then he plans to fly to usa...will flying back and forth bangladesh and uk before entering usa cause any problems at point of entry... it shouldnt i know but i was just wondering, i saw someone make a comment about it somewhere......please share some advice or experience....

hi guys, my hubbies interview is in 37 days counting from today, i am not counting in the hours yet, the more i count the more imapatient i get....this too shall pass, that is what im telling myself, just pray ing hard, so my hubby gets the visa.....Allah listened to ourprayers all through... i am soo grateful i was sooo paranoid about the nvc journey, but still cant get alll happy before i have my hubby right here with me....yet.. im happy for you GS and congrats for getting the visa coriann, every one else hang on there, good luck for your interviews........

add meinmycase was completed on23rd april and the very same day they gave us our interview date which is on 11th june at the london consulate...pray for us, and good luck to you all.........
