  1. congrats,

Its been a week and the Barbados Embassy still hasnt recieved my packet from NVC :(

and NVC cant give me a DHL tracking #

NVC will not give anyone tracking numbers, however you can estimate your tracking by using the date NVC says your package was shipped:

    e.g.:

    go to:

    http://track.dhl-usa.com/TrackByRef.asp?nav=TrackRef

enter in the following for the reference number and check the dates scope for the correct window of time.

    EXP 30 APR 2009A

this will return a good number of packages that left the NVC - play around with the date in the reference string = EXP DD MMM 2009A

you may also want to try changing 2009A to 2009B, C etc.. I'm not sure what that denotes.

    Hope this helps.

  2. Ron [uSCANDUAL], I read your post and can imagine the difficulties and challenges that life has presented you and your loved ones.

You'll be in our prayers for relief, peace, joy and happiness to all of your family.

With sweet emotions, I would like to say that my call to NVC last night was the one we were anxiously waiting for!!!

I then called my fiancee and told her the good news, and spent a great deal of time planning our future and talking about our life together starting a family as we have been talking for many hours everyday since the first day that we met. (now that I recall  ).

With respect I would like to express my gratitudes to all for your kind support and sharing,

especially Joe and Nadya, and Ron [uSCANDUAL] for sharing your fine programming skills with our AP family. :star::star::star::star::star:

Let's all pray for quick relief for all who are anxiously waiting to be with thier loved ones.

I would like to say that although I'm not religious, it really helps to pray and meditate ( in any order ).

  3. Jam, Kiev can schedule an interview only when they get your papers from NVC, the notification email is not enough to make an appointment. I was said to call back in two weeks after our case was sent to Kiev. I called to the Embassy couple days ago, they said that they have an email from NVC, but send nothing or schedule interview right now, ONLY after getting papers. Understand?

Joe & Nadya, thanks for reply - do you believe the "call back in 2 weeks" is accurate? After the experience we have all been through it's difficult to believe anything anymore.

Perhaps we could start another timeline based on member experience on the "wait after the waiting"?

 probably your too excited about your interview to think about it.

  4. By the way everyone, I started working last night on by-country statistics for AP@NVC.

You can get a "sneak preview" at http://apnvc.nxserve.net/ByCountry.html. It's still very rough right now. I hope to do some more work on this over the weekend and next week.

At this moment (13:12PM Central time) as I'm writing, the server is up. It was down all this morning. I expect it will keep bouncing up and down, so no ability to predict when they'll finally stabilize it :(.

Wow nice work, this is waaaay cool  it sure is good to see grouped by country. It may be useful to have an average days column if you have time. Also, does the totals include folks that have never updated their timeline?

  5. You know guys, today I called to our Embassy and I found out that my Embassy in Kiev got he notification letter from NVC on Friday, the 3rd of April. So, our case was done on Friday, last week! WOW!!! But Joe called twice them on Friday and he was said that our case is still at NVC...

It's good news but does Kiev have what they need from the NVC to schedule your interview yet?

  6. WOW, I just lost it on the operator at NVC, my case will probably be lost forever now!

You are not alone my friend, it is impossibly frustrating that the NVC can employ such a cruel and abusive policy.

NVC AP is the 'gitmo' for lovers in my humble opinion, without VJ, it could drive people insane.

Perhaps we can unite, voice our opinions to appeal to congress to allow for a more gentler, kinder policy.

When good citizens, honorable veterans as well as active duty military are all treated as terrorist suspects,

we need a more effective and efficient security process. (in my humble opinion).

But take some comfort in knowing that you will be released from AP and will be together with your beloved.

  7. hey guys!! got a new date for my interview.. April 7!! woohoooo!!

That's great! Hope it goes well for you and that you get the visa quickly.

As for us, we finally got our Packet 3 and are sending it back EMS post today.

My only worry is that Thailand has a big national holiday called Songkran coming up, and the embassy will be closed for ten days Apr 10-20.

So given how long it's taking papers to get turned around in and out at the embassy, they may not even look at it to schedule our interview till end of April.

Then again, after all the delays maybe we're finally due for some QUICK processing. I'm optimistic that we can still get an interview scheduled for May, and my honey can travel in June. Can't wait can't wait can't wait...........

Good luck to all. Let's hope EVERYONE gets reunited with their partners in time for the 4th of July!!!

Congratulations! It must be a great feeling to know that you will be together with your loved one again soon.

  8. Jam, don't pay attention on timelines seriousely. Yes, many people don't update their profile at all. No one has duty to do it every time when they get any news or approvals. All depends on you and your wish. It's approximate dates.

Let me send you one link which I sent before here.. and you will see that case are being in AP spend up to 60 days. And any case has individual events. Let's wait ;)

    http://travel.state.gov/visa/temp/wait/tem...p;x=102&y=8

    Good luck to all!!!

Thanks Joe & Nadya for the state.gov info. The good news is most of those members that I did look up using the Ron's new lookup tool were already out of AP @ NVC.

I'll be glad when you are out of AP because you guys are 17 ahead of / before us. According to the timelines, members from Ukraine average 40 days or so. I'm using this time to make repairs and upgrades to our home and staying busy. So please be sure to let us know the good news when it happens.

    cheers..

  9. All right gang...

    Here it is!!

Do you fondly remember Igor's List?

Wasn't that a useful tool to have when you were still at CSC or VSC and waiting for your NOA2?

Now that you've graduated from USCIS and have your shiny NOA2 in hand, wouldn't you like to have a similar list to tell you where you are on the NVC pecking order?

Well, I now present to you.... The all-new automated "Stuck in AP @ NVC" List.

Check it out, let me know what you think. Spread the word around....

    http://apnvc.nxserve.net/vj.pl

This list gets rebuilt from VJ database everytime you reload the webpage. So it's not a static compilation like the old tables I had been publishing previously. Enjoy!!

    This is great tool,

I sent the following email as feedback hopefully to suggest some improvement(s):

    Hello XXX,

Thanks for the great lookup table. If you don't mind I have a suggestion.

Some folks have forgotten to update thier timeline and it shows as if they are still waiting.

    for example:

These couples have an interview date set already, so it must have left NVC, but they show as still waiting.

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=52829

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=56247

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=60513

this guy got his NOA2 but has not returned to the VJ since:

    Last Seen: 23rd December 2008 - 09:10 AM

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showuser=58626

    also,

I think it would be great to see a column describing the visa type, e.g. K1, K3 etc. unless they are all k1.

If you can filter those I think it would be a lot more accurate.

Again, thanks a bunch for the great job!

    This is awesome, thanks!

For those folks who are stuck for more than 50 days, what are the options? Can you request an info pass or call your congressman?

I call everyday but don't know if that helps, does calling reset the clock? What if you don't call, does the petitioners approved k1 expire after 4 months?

  11. Anyone know how long a K1 medical exam is good for for the embassy in Kiev, Ukraine?

If your fiance is healthy its valid 1 year, if not 6 months. But don't forget that this medical package will need when you start making AOS after marriage.. So count.. When I called to clinic I was said it's better to pass medical interview closer to visa interview. I rescheduled it because of AP at NVC.

Thanks [Joe & Nadya], for your input.

How would the medical exam effect the AOS? Couldn't we just get another medical exam here in the US if the date needs to be more current for the AOS?

My fiancee is extremely healthy so we'll have no problem, but the 18 hour round trip train ride to Kiev is no walk in the park.

    Best wishes on your journey..

You are welcome! Jam I will give you one link where you will read all info about next step after marriage and why you will need this medical package from Kiev. ;) My fiancee travelled to my native town by train.. he was excited about it  18 hours and our Ukrainian trains wish to be the best

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.ph...mp;page=k1k3aos

Thanks for your help, Nadya. Yes indeed Ukraine trains are the best! Where else can we travel in a elegant, spacious and private cabin first class for a reasonable fee? I love Ukraine and it's trains!

  13. Anyone know how long a K1 medical exam is good for for the embassy in Kiev, Ukraine?

I have heard the police certificate are good for 6 months, any thoughts?

I asked my fiancee to gather everything in advance and she passed the medical exam already.

Didn't know about that the NVC could further delay our case.

I don't have any criminal history but my name is similar to a pop singer's, and I have had 2 traffic citations in the past.

My fiancee's personality test (Brigg's & Myer & Jung test ) is the same as Mother Teresa, Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr., Nicole Kidman, Jerry Seinfeld, Jimmy Carter to name a few.

And I, and everyone who knows her can confirm this.

My fiancee is a real sweetheart that will help make this world a happier place to live.

And I truly believe she is not a threat to our national security.

  14. Actually, NVC voluntarily told me my petition is in "additional processing" is this the same as "Administrative processing"?

I have no criminal history. Only 2 traffic citations but it was many years ago:

One was for doing 72 mph in the fast lane (during rush hour in Los Angeles, I had a personal medical emergency) - Since this was my first ticket ever, I went to traffic school and had it removed.

The other was an expired inspection sticker 10 minutes ofter getting my car from storage on a U.S. Navy base after being on deployment for 9 months.

I explained to the civilian police officer, that I was on deployment fighting for our country but he told me to "take it up with the judge".

I was stupid enough to just pay the darn thing.

  15. Waiting = torture!

Only if you in a state of Desire. Unfulfilled wants shall always lead to frustration and suffering i.e. the principles of Buddhism. If you accept where you are and what is happening, life is serene. Gotta wait? Ok, no problem. Got accepted? Ok, fine. Acceptance allows for a wider range of choices and generally leads to greater success in all endeavors.

Can't change the situation, only the way one perceives it.

Ahhh yes.. I agree with you and I'm at peace with the universe. Just like to vent a little through the emoticon. (never used them before but they're kinda cute.)

I talk to my sweetheart several hours each day and more on weekends, so it's like we're together (in spirit anywhoo ).

Everything will be more awesome after the waiting is finally over.

  16. Congratulations Glenmarc, on your NOA2!

As soon as we received our NOA2 notice, I had my fiancee call the approved medical clinic and schedule her medical exam. This involved a lot of travel (18 hours roundtrip by train) a long wait at the clinic, but we were very happy when the exam was successfully completed.

Additionally, I had asked her to make translations of her birth certificate and police certificate in advance .

I DID NOT WAIT FOR "PACKET 3".

    Waiting = torture! :girlwerewolf2xn:

  17. How much time did you spend getting to know this woman in person or on the phone before arriving in the US?

What percentage did your relationship rely on emails or other non- traditional means?

What alerted you be suspicious of her? i.e. personality change, disinterest, argumentative, etc..

I know of several similar cases, some lasting 8 years or more before suddenly ending for financial gain and immigration status. Talk about insideous!

This is a tough thing to go through, but be glad that you didn't have to suffer through years of abuse and neglect.

How do you know when someone is REALLY in love with you?

  19. In one of the earlier posts a member mentioned that some petitions may be moved from VSC to CSC - can anyone confirm this? Can anyone confirm the delay is possibly weather related?

I call my beloved 2 times a day sometimes we talk for 4 hours each day. If it wasn't for the 8 hour time difference we would talk even longer about everything. We want to be together now!

    ####### is happening at VSC?
