Charge for text alert only if your cell phone carrier charges you. Most people have unlimited texts, so there is no additional charge. Register @ USCIS.gov to track case status & you can sign up for text/email alerts.

I noticed your status update (in new section on site) and wanted to encourage you. 2 months isn't a long wait. Our NOA2 took almost 7 months. The wait was torture, but the process goes pretty quickly after NOA2. Don't lose hope!

Thanks for admiring my patience. lol. Yes, it did take almost 7 months, when even USCIS's website said 6. Not a fun time, but it all worked out in the end! Best wishes.
