Hello to all, My love is having his medical exam today and has sent the papers needed by the Madrid embassy. When he gets the results of the medical exam he will take it to the embassy on wednesday. So it will not be long before they set up an interview. My question is has anyone had their interview at Madrid yet and if so how was it. I am so worried. I am trying to get off from work to go be with him but right now it looks like I want beable to do that due to inventory time at the store I work at. They have cut off dates for vacations until after inventory which is March 10th. If anyone has been through this at Madrid please let me know I am so nervous. Sorry I must have been a form for the Philippines otherwise I do not know why that is there.

What I am asking is should I put my annual pay showing off of my last check stub even tho I do not yet have the 2008 tax return to prove this or should I write down the annual amount from2007 since I have this tax transcript on hand. We may need the Affidavit of Support before I get the 2008 transcript back. Thanks so much for any help, Lana

I am in the process of getting together the papers to send to Costel but I have not received my taxes for 2008. I will not get the W-2 until the very end of January. My question is can I use the 2007 annual income for the Affidavit of Support or do I need to wait until I get 2008. I am afraid I will not have the papers to Costel in time if I wait because we have already received the hard copy of Noa2. What should I do?? Thanks for your help, Lana

Copies are fine and notarization is not needed or meaningful for such documents.

Hello to all, I have told some of you that Costel and I have got our NOA 2 approval e-mail yesterday and we need to know what paperwork we need to get up now. I am so afraid that I will miss something so please give us a list of this so I can check it. Anything you can think of to prepare us will be greatly appreciated. Hello to all, just wanted to let you know that Costel and I have been approved and have our noa2.

When I got home from work yesterday (1-5-09) I checked USCIS and found that we had been touched that day. Today when I come home from work I had another nice surprise waiting for me---------2 e-mails------one from my love and the second from Cris. I am soooooooooooooooooo excited and very worried about the next step in paper work but I know that you all will help us and for that we are very grateful. We have not been members long but have really had so much support and help-------thank you so much and believe me we will be asking more questions sooooooooooo thank you in advance. Oh I know of one already-------where does uscis sent the approval and how do we get intouch with them. I remember reading on here somewhere but for the life of me can not seem to remember.

Hi! I have been reading VJ for awhile now but have just now registered so I am new. I have read in one of the post on here that the Vermont Service Center is on the August Filers now and that some have already received their NOA 2. Does anyone know if this is for real. I am trying not to get to excited just yet but it is hard. I pray that it is true. Sorry I have not had time to put our timeline on here. USCIS received our K-1 visa on August 14 and it was touched once on August 19.

how do you deal with skeptical family/ friends/ strangers (who cares) who automatically assume you're being used to obtain a greencard? i feel like i'm constantly justifying myself and our relationship; yet, people, including my father make insulting comments regularly... as if this lonely, agonizing process wasn't difficult enough.

Hi! I am new here but just wanted to let you know that my fiance and I had this very same problem.

I know that everybody loves me and worries that I am being used and I try to understand that. But it did bother me as well and finally they all did come to realize that we are serious and very much in love. My Costel says that we will show them our love when we get our visa. It even went as far as two of my cousins running what they thought was a background check on him and sent me an email telling me to beware and to read this attachment because it could be a matter of life or death....they had the wrong man of course.....it was another older man with the same name but it still caused tears because they told me that they were going to tell my parents. This really worried me because I just knew that I would never get this all straightened out and to let them know that my love was not the same man. Needless to say I let my cousins know that I did not like this and never metal in my business again. I know that they were worried about me going to Spain to meet him for the first time but still that did not help me to understand their reasoning at the time. Now it is all straighten out and as I told you earlier they know now that we are very much in love. One of them even fixed us a binder with all the info and forms from the USCIS site which really helped out because we did not know the first thing we needed to do and have even sent us a box of Wedding presents already. Anyway just wanted you to know that you are not alone. It will work out-------just do alot of ignoring and praying.
