Hi everyone! Just seeking some advice..We are planning to buy a residential lot but no title other than "rights" only in the Philippines. I am just wondering what are the documents that I should require from the seller(seller is a relative of mine) as proof of ownership later on.. Any input is highly appreciated!
God bless!

hi
there is no such thing as derivative for citizenship, if he has the 5 years as a resident, he can apply on his own and he will have the test on his own like you
thank you!

Hi everyone! We are in the process of filing our N400 and I have a 22 yr old son as my derivative. I am just wondering if we need to apply him separately/submit N400 form signed by him and paying another $725.00 as filing fee (including biometrics fee)? Any input is highly appreciated! Thank you!

At least it seems show that your case is progressing. Just keep calling and hopefully your visa will be released soon! Good luck!

Really his job or not is not what they look at with the I-751, they look at the two of you that your relationship is growing and you are like normal married folks.. sharing everything and enjoying your marriage.
Thanks Hank!

Indeed. Thank you Leaper.
Your welcome! Have fun to your new world!

Once you have in hand your SSN and GC, you will be idle about paperworks preparation till the next step-I 751 which will take place in 2 yrs time.Relax and chill out for the meantime! :-)

As long as they did not return your passport you are approved! When I had my interview, I really asked the consul if I am approved and he answered me yes, so I went home totally appeased. Congrats!

Not a red flag as such, but depending on his retirement income, you might need a joint sponsor. If you Google the I-864 instructions, you might be able to find out how retirement income counts towards fulfilling the poverty limit requirements.
Thanks a lot Ketsuban!
No impact for the I-751 as no questions are asked about the USC's employment and no I-864 is submitted at this time.
This is encouraging Pushbrk! I feel appeased now, again thanks a lot!

Boy I hope that isn't an issue... I was retired before I even started the petition process....
Sorry.. had to joke about it. Being employed for sure isn't a requirement.
I am just quite paranoid about digging the history of his previous employment and the financial resources later on that will affect our application..thanks for your input Hank!
The fact that your husband is not working when you apply for the I-751, or ROC, will have no effect. For example, I was not working when my gal applied for her ROC and it had no effect - she was approved.
You appeased me with your wife's approval! Thanks carton025! I will tell my husband that he can tender now his resignation tomorrow hehehe.. :-)

There are no financial requirements or check for I-751
Thanks Harpa!

South Dakota is a very nice place!welcome to US!

In my opinion, yes you may apply for a e-passport even though it is still far from the expiration date, as it will be more convenient to renew there rather than renewing in the US later on. Dial DFA office for further clarification as well. Good luck!

Will be applying for I-751 in a couple of months and I am just wondering what will be the consequence if my husband is going to resign/retire now. Will it cause a red flag if he doesn't have a job? Thanks fellow VJ members!

I am going to go to apply for my SSN even though I asked for it to be sent to me automatically, since I heard that often the info doesn't get transmitted properly and you should go in person to check up on it.
